Perfect for fans of any age, this humorous story is based on the newest LEGO Star Wars TV/DVD special!
The Death Star has been destroyed, but the Empire isn't going down so easily. They are rebuilding the space station, and the Emperor is madder than ever. But while Darth Vader deals with the return of Darth Maul, it's up to heroes Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia, Han Solo, and their friends to travel to Naboo, save the day, and escape from... teenage fangirls?!
Me personally, I would’ve given it 2 stars, but my son loved it and usually I let him rate his books. He wanted me to read it, so I’m going to have to pretend I liked it! Ugh.
It’s all very irreverent and tongue in cheek silliness. A little like a soap opera! Better not read it if you don’t know Star Wars at all, and it’s better if you’ve seen some of Clone Wars as well.
This is a fun book which is also a short movie. It is a make fun of Lego version of the empire strikes back. In this we see the usual characters in slightly different poses - the emperor as the doting father figure, Darth Vader and surprise Darth Maul as the competing sons, Luke as the hero who has girl fans chasing him, Leia as the clear leader directing everyone else. A really fun and clever story.
Almost every one of these lego starwars books has an element of humor, that make it a worthwhile read. I recommend reading them to your kids for a few laughs!
This book is a great book for young boys. It is a subject that interests them (even grown men) while also pushing them to read more for pleasure. I use this book as a send home book for my male students so they have something that interests them and motivates them to read outside of the classroom. It is so hard to find a boy oriented book, but Lego has greatly helped with these collections.
This book is meant for kids, but adult Star Wars fans (like me) will get a kick out of it too. It's such a silly book, so no matter how old you are, you should enjoy it. Best part: Vader trying to tell Luke a big spoiler, but getting attacked by rabid fangirls each time.
