A pleasant respite

I enjoyed the delightful message of this book - timely still today. And perhaps even more needed than when it was first published.

Great Historical Fiction

After reading this book, I appreciate so much more the sacrifices made to bring the Gospel to the old West. I better understand prohibition and the heartbreak of ruined lives due to alcohol and the strength and conviction it takes to make a moral stand against such things. The author was a wonderful, godly man.

I read Born to Serve by this author, and enjoyed it very much. This book was equally enjoyable, with a similar message about loving the people God puts in our lives and how we can influence them for his good. A truly delightful story.

I enjoy Charles M. Sheldon's books so much

I'm trying to read all of this authors books. They are old fashioned Christian books. Much as it was when I was a girl. If you enjoy Grace Livingston Hill you will surely enjoy Charles M. Sheldon's books.
