This is the last book in the Never Knights trilogy. Over the three books I had come to love Never and her band. In the beginning of the book Never seems to be in a bad place. She's lost her band, her music, and her confidence. Danny Blue and Never are together but she questions if their relationship is love or lust. Although the odds seem stacked against them, Danny doesn't let Never wallow. He encourages her to set things right. My corny thoughts made me think of the Blues Brothers with the line "We're getting the band back together." Danny convinces Never that she can get it all back. He's backing her in every sense. There is plenty of drama going on. Danny's step monster, Veronica, is not playing nice (What's new?), Kyle's dad is making his presence known, Danny has a few family issues, lots of juicy tidbits packed into this book.
I actually thought I knew everything about Danny Blue, but I learned a thing or two. He is definitely as delicious as ever. I love the intensity of his feelings for Never. However, there was some hinting at a past that we don't even know yet. I am so intrigued by that. Seems our Danny boy was a very naughty boy *wink*wink* I can hardly contain myself knowing that Danny's story is not over.
I felt that this book was a perfect ending to a fun trilogy. I loved the journey that the Never Knights took us on. It wasn't a straight path to happiness, lots of bumps along the way. I feel this book left everyone in a good place for something more to come. Never and Danny ended the way I hoped but Danny was a little cryptic in his thoughts at the end. I believe we will see him and possibly Never in a new series "The Blue Room". I am hoping that with the way the trilogy ended that the door is open for story lines for each of the band members. They haven't gotten their HEA. Luc, Steve, and Kyle deserve to find their love story. I felt for Kyle. He is so broken that he doesn't realize what love is. He's suffered a childhood that was heartbreaking, latched on to Never as his saving grace, and can't handle that he may lose his connection to her. He needs a love of his own. Luc is a great guy just not the one that causes the fires to ignite within Never. He would be the perfect love for any woman. He's passionate, family oriented, and such a gentleman. Steve loves the ladies. He seems to be the glue for the band. He brings everyone together and keeps tensions down. His downfall is a beautiful face. He needs a woman with a beautiful heart. I truly hope we see a book for each of these guys. I kind of got attached to each of them and want to see them find true, passionate love.
Kailin does what she does best. She told a riveting story of a band that was so much more. As a cohesive unit they were solid but individually they all had their issues. Kailin knows how to write the story that is going to tug on the emotions of the reader. I love her stories and that is why I keep coming back for more. Getting lost in her words is a great escape.
I'm glad its over! The first book was good but then it all went down hill from there.
All the men...I mean boys...were all cry babies! Every time they thought/or was losing Neve they cried and cried and she had to confort them and hold him all the time.
I see why she fell for Danny in the first book. But then he had so many problems. So much Drama comes along with him. So much stupid shit that I don't even feel is worth sharing. lol
She should have been with Luc. Hell I'll take him! No drama and he sounded pretty awesome to me!
I've truly enjoyed the Never Knights Trilogy. I was sad that this was the conclusion at first, but when I got to the end and saw there was going to be a spin-off I was super excited!! I hope there is a lot of Danny and Neve in The Blue Room Trilogy. I hope there will be a spin-off where Steve, Luc and Kyle each get at least 1 story each of their own. I love the dynamics of the band. They work so well together. They truly seem to care that the others are safe, happy and healthy.
This book was a great ending to a dynamic relationship. Although Danny and Neve keep ending up having drama surround them, their love stays strong. Neve still seems a bit insecure and Danny seems to be struggling to deal with his past. This book has a bit of drama, but helps them overcome a few things. I was thrilled to see Neve introduce Danny to her family and loved their reaction to him since they all expected her and Luc to end up together.
Although the focus of the book is Danny and Neve and what is going on with the band, my heart broke for Kyle in this book. His tragic past catches up with him and this part of the story seems unfinished. He definitely needs a book of his own. Luc gets put through the ringer and we don't get to see how it affects him, so of course he needs his own book. Steven gets injured and we NEED to know whether or not he can recover in his own book!! Neve should get another book (or 2) in a spin-off if she and Danny aren't in The Blue Room. I hope to see her mature a bit more. I expected her to mature a bit more in this book, but she didn't.
I love all the books I've read of Kailin Gow's and this one did not disappoint!
Since I bought this series in a set I was pretty much nonstop reading. The second one I barely took time to write a review because I couldn't wait to start the 3rd book. I am glad that I didn't review this book as soon as I finished reading this which was 3a.m. because I might have only given it 2 or 3 stars. I was so let down by the ending and knowing that this was the last book on The Never Knights.
There were so many unanswered questions: what happened with the band, what happened with the step-mother, and how did things go for Neve and Danny. I would have felt better if I knew there were more books to this series. You definitely could do a book on each of the band members. You really can say that the author did a good enough job on the characters which she introduced us to in this series that you wanted to hear more about each of them. The door was left wide open to continue with the Never Knights.
If I knew that Ms. Gow was going to continue with this band I would have definitely given it a 5 star rating!
I really enjoyed this story told in three different books, I guess that's the new normal, since a lot of authors are doing that. I'm not a big fan of this style- I enjoy readying a novel that the story has a beginning and an end on one Big book or ebook!!! I am a sucker for series though, so multiple books to a series I like, but multiple books to tell 1 story not so much!!!! The story in itself I liked, it kept my attention, it got me to cry a few tears, and I did go back to buy the next installment which is The Blue Room there's 4 more books that continues the spinoff series. And it was .99c today 6/29/14 :)
So very disappointed in this series. Couldn't feel the heat or passion between Neve and Danny. Plus she got her own storyline mixed up. When Neve saw the sex tape, she got hurt which is understandable, but when Danny confessed to sleeping with Roni in the past, that wasn't new. He had already revealed that in the second book. When she was nervous about introducing her dad to Danny, they had already met at the end of the second book. There were a lot of other things wrong but the affair was the biggest inconsistency. I hope the Blue Room series is better.
And finally... I'm done with the Never Knigts books. They were really exasperating, boring, dramatic, entertaining and they finished being amazing in a Rock star kind of way. I'm still thinking it wasn't what i expected and it wasn't better but it kept going and it kept dragging me to read it so it wasn't that boring... And the Never Knights weren't so bad after all. I will be reading The Blue Room because as the Never Knights, i can feel that it'll be full of drama and what can i say? I like it a little!
After all that waiting I was left wanting... I don't know exactly what, but I do know that I wasn't completely satisfied with how she wrapped the trilogy. It's still a good book though! :-)
It was a good series. The ending was a little lacking for me though. There was so much focus on the band and the music yet the end of the last book gave us no closure to that part of the story.
