Out of all the TT comics I read today, this one was the most underwhelming since it felt more relationship focused, but I also enjoyed it for that reason. The pizza rescue while fighting bad guys was cute, & I loved the Valentines Day short story which showcased Star & Raven pursuing romances (Poor BB).

It was a bit too juvenile to really enjoy. I haven't seen Teen Titans in a few years but I don't recall thinking its jokes were lame or its stories were focused toward such a young audience. I mean if the cartoon is for tweens, this feels more like its for young grade schoolers. The art is sometimes a bit lacking as well, sometimes they just don't bother making things proportional (and not for any apparent reason like being chibi) and barely bothered with the faces. The coloring was good though.

Not a huge fan of Teen Titans but I did really like the old cartoon on Saturday mornings. This book reads exactly like the old cartoon, and it's a very fun read. The jokes at the bottom of the pages and throughout were really entertaining and kept you smiling throughout. I forgot how much I loved Starfire's way of speaking, and how funny it can be. This was really fun, must read for Teen Titans fans and though it plays more on the childish side of comics, it's very entertaining!

I was a big fan of the Teen Titans cartoon and have a whole run of comic books with them. This is NOT the cartoony character who are now called “Teen Titans Go!” .

To be fair, the “Teen Titans” was definitely ‘kid-friendly’. But not stupid-friendly like “Teen Titans Go!”.

It appears they couldn’t decide what format the comic should be in. The #1 I’m reading is a digest sized book.

The art is great here. Like the cartoon it ‘dips’ into Chibi style for emphasis but not often enough to be annoying.

”Demo” was an ‘It was all a dream’ type story where Slade (Deathstroke the Terminator to adults) was using a simulation of the Teen Titans fighting Gizmo, Mammoth and Jinx to see how they operate.

”The Beast Boy Who Cried Wolf is a predictable but fun story of Gordinian aliens looking for a Dodo bird on Earth and Beast Boy playing tricks on his teammates. Of course no one believes Beast Boy when he cries out for help. The last gag however greatly furnished.

”Lame” has Cyborg fighting Cinderblock but being treated like a machine rather than a hero. The art in this book is overall amazing. Anyway, his pity party is soon stopped by actually disabled kids, a cute counselor and his teammates. Ahwww….

“My Crummy Valentine” stars with the most evil and powerful villain of all capturing Starfire. The Puppet King.

”…What is the Valentine’s Day?“
”A commercially contrived occasion for forced displays of affection.”

Starfire gets Robin to take her to an amusement park, but the Puppet Master uses the occasion to attack the Titans.

”This hurts m more than any of you adorably overweight winged infants shall every know!”

”Monster Zit” is about Raven having a zit. It’s kind of weird. Like they tried the ‘Teen Titans Go!’ Humor with the ‘Teen Titans’ cast. It didn’t work. They seem too stupid. Of course, that tells me that they just should have abandoned the stupid humor. The art is quite good though!

The zit become a manifestation of Trigon so… you decide if that’s too dumb or at least interesting.

Honesty, the art was at least 3 stars but the stories were… pretty juvenile. I’ll keep going with this series, but I’m a die hard Titans fan so you’re mileage may vary.

I collected all the original TV show tie-in comics a while ago but never read them until now, but since I’ve been in a DC mood lately I decided to pick them up! This first edition of the first five issues was very cute, it was funny and felt true to the original TV show, which I appreciated.

This volume of "Teen Titans GO!" offers up the first 5 issues of the DC series. The Titans gulp down almost as much pizza as the Ninja Turtles and the story lines focus a tad more on morals than the action adventure seen on the TV series. The artwork was visibly inconsistent. I think a lot of the illustrators did the characters from the cartoon justice. Although I wasn't a huge fan of "Tim Smith 3" penciling work at all. Overall it is a fun series and I'd definitely consider reading more issues if I can track them down!

The combination of superhero action and humour is what makes Teen Titans special. Like most teens, they are in the process of growing up; their antics are what make them so funny. Unlike regular superheroes who are shaped as the "ideal", the titans are made like teenagers who also have superhuman responsibilities. They can be great friends, but quarrelsome, not the most mature, and they have hobbies, like playing video games.

My 10 year old daughter is a Teen Titan fan. She loves all the older episodes and so when I saw this one I knew she would love to read it. Its a bit harder to read comic books on a kindle as the pages don't line up but we plugged through because we just wanted to know what happened. I saw we because I was actually interested in reading this comic too. The artwork was colorful and on point. It was very engaging, funny and enjoyable. I read this via netgalley.

Good, for a children's comic book. Definitely a little upsetting after watching the cartoon series. Characters seem a little out of character but the over-all storylines aren't bad. Still a Teen Titans fan.
