A very intriguing novella which leads into a series by the author, which I am also planning to read. The horror in this book lies just beneath the surface for the most part and gives a definite sensation of unease as we follow private investigator, Aleister Ward, in his latest case which quickly takes an unexpected turn. The terror comes from the unknown and draws you in, leaving you wanting to read more to find out what happens. Highly recommended.
