Having recently acquired a Singer Featherweight 211, this book was recommended. It’s is so helpful. Everything from how to identify the origin of your machine by the serial number to the basic running and maintenance. 100% recommend!

**** Featherweight 221 - The Perfect Portable by Nancy Johnson-Srebro is definitely written for Featherweight enthusiasts who are students of the history of this fabulous machine. Johnson-Srebro included well-researched details, photographs as well as her thought processes. As a Featherweight owner, I especially enjoyed the personal accounts she shared from various Featherweight owners.
The details were a bit much for me, but probably perfect for Featherweight historians. Her chapter on troubleshooting potential issues with featherweights was most interesting. I am looking to purchase this book as this chapter is a phenomenal resource. Definitely Recommend.

I have the original version and it was tremendously helpful at the time. The internet wasn't as resourceful then and there was not a lot of info about them. The third update has added some reference items but it is even dated at this point. All in all if you own a featherweight or want to it's a must read.

Review of a lot I already knew. Good chapter on 68 cabinet & tables. Nice to have hard copy when internet info is not available.
I love her enthusiasm & she makes me want to make more Featherweight friends.

The title says it all - this book is all about the Singer Featherweight 221 model of sewing machine, and it has a wealth of information about it. About half of the book is taken up by reprints of various Featherweight manuals, but the rest is interesting reading even if you don't own one yourself. Worthwhile if you have one or if you want to pick one up, for sure.

Excellent book for learning about the Featherweight. It is a great resource. At times a little dry, but there isn't much you can do to spice up Featherweight Serial numbers. A must read for the Featherweight enthusiast.
