Michael Sortomme is an author, artist and retired teacher of metaphysics, the occult arts and Active Indigenous Shamanism. Educated in anthropology and modern literature, she has journeyed in pursuit of truth that she translates into vivid paintings and equally compelling stories. As a Reincarnationist, prodigious past-life memory has motivated passions in Genetic Genealogy, Herstory and the Levant. The Pacific Northwest is home—the Oregon wine country—her piece of heaven.
Sortomme founded Singing Lake Press in 2002 to preserve, organize and publish her work. Her first historical novel, The Emancipation Of Giles Corey, a supernatural thriller revolving The Salem Witch Trials of 1692, won the Indie Excellence Award for Best Historical Fiction of 2011 and garnered an Honorable Mention for the Hoffer Award, including a finalist spot for the Montaigne Medal.
Her new title, The Sensitive's Circle, Finding Balance & Creating Hope, is a non-fiction self-help title that is gaining acclaim and promises a different approach to spiritual protection and survival.
Both titles are available through Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble and other international online book sellers.
