WoW WoW WoW! B.C. Morin, you have done it again. You have created a story that is completely visual and remarkably captivating and fantastical. I was utterly catapulted head first back into the story that continues exactly where Mark of the Princess left off. That cliffhanger killed me and I needed answers right then and there. I hated having to wait forever to find out what would come of Brennus and Alannah, Tristan and Evyette, and Kaleb. So when, B.C. asked me to Beta Read for her on Blood of the Sorcerer, well, you can only imagine my reaction. I was so excited, and taken aback at the kind and generous gesture. I wanted to take the time now to thank you for allowing me to join you on this beautiful and fantastical journey through The Kingdom Chronicles. I am completely in awe of your words and enchanted by this mesmerising and whimsical world you have created.

Blood of the Sorcerer picks up where Mark of the Princess ended. We are thrown right into the depths of Alannah's anguish and heartache at the realisation that the Warrior Fae she fell in love with, is betrothed to another. But he is just no ordinary Warrior, he in fact, is Prince Brennus and must abide by his dead fathers last request and marry Isibeal. Well, believe you me, I was none-to-pleased by this. First of all, no one can have Brennus except me, but I am willing to share him with Alannah only *wink wink* Brennus is his usual RAWR self, and very cocky indeed. Although, at times, I must admit, I wanted to throw him down (Ahem) and scream at him. He is so stubborn when it comes to honouring thy father's last wishes. But seriously, I get it, that's why I love you Brennus, but UGH! so frustrating. However, the moments that Brennus and Alannah had were deliciously hot and very sexy. I was swooning and melting all at the same time *sigh* and wanted them to rip into each other. The tension was palpable and the need to be with one another was unbearable. I was desperate for them to just…well you get the picture.

We are introduced to a few more characters in Blood of the Sorcerer, and Isibeal, Brennus's betrothed, being one of them. She frustrated me to no avail. I wanted to smack her upside the head and shake her. How dare she come between Alannah and Brennus. Plus, she is not all innocent as she might seem. Alannah, makes it her mission to try and find out what she is up to by spying on her and sneaking around. It was highly riveting and amusing to watch Alannah go all bad ass warrior. She knows what she wants and will fight to get it. All the while, continuing to train and enhance her powers with Master Jadoc. I love how much Alannah has grown into herself, gained so much more confidence and strength. It was a joy to read.

The other story within the book is that of Evyette, and her quest to find out who she is and where she comes from. Along for the ride is the ever playful and cheeky Tristan, the love of her life, and his best and loyal friend, Prince Kaleb. Her journey of discovery is not only shocking and heartbreaking, but it will keep you guessing at every turn. She will cross paths with the evil sorcerer that is Maligo, who will do everything and anything to ruin and destroy the lives of all the Fae. Nothing and no one will stop him in his plan, including Evyette. I loved her story. Not only do we get to experience all this with her, we get to watch her grow closer to Tristan, as well as Kaleb, who will surprise you immensely in this. I really loved Kaleb in this story, just as much as Brennus. I was taken with him and his loyalty and commitment to his friends.

B.C. Morin is an amazing storyteller who really knows how to continually captivate her readers and give them something to look forward to. You will be turning the pages at a feverish pace, hanging on every word and begging for more. You will cheer in happiness, be anxious in anticipation, bang your head against the wall in frustration, sigh in relief, and scream out in fear, and anguish, and despair. And, if that doesn't entice you, well hang on to your knickers, because if you thought Mark of the Princess had one hell of a cliffhanger, you better think again. You will literally be on the edge of your seat, willing for the story to continue. I literally pounded my fist on the kitchen bench and yelled out..NNNOOOOOOOO!!! And I'm still screaming it, even though I have done reading it. I can't get over the ending.

There is so much action and fight scenes; riveting drama and swoon worthy romance; adventure and suspense; torture and torment; and love and heartache. You will be swept away in this wonderland of sorts, where anything is possible, if you are willing to stand up for what you believe and what you want. Harness your power, wield your sword, and use your bow and arrow to conquer the Evil that is dominant in the Blood of the Sorcerer. You will not be disappointed, and I CANNOT WAIT for book 3. The anticipation is killing me.

Be still my racing heart, Blood of the Sorcerer just blew me away!! B.C. Morin brings to her readers such a riveting and thrilling story with this remarkable sequel, and it will hook you from start to finish!!

I fell in love with B.C. Morin's incredible fantasy world in Mark of the Princess, and was immediately swept into the journey that these characters were about to undergo. Throughout their trek into dangers and relationships unknown, they each earned a place in my heart. But none were as large as those I held for Brennus and Alannah, the two seemingly brought together by none other than fate in a quest that would find them torn apart by duty before the story came to a close. It ripped my heart out, and it was an incredibly painful wait to see what the future would hold for them. Blood of the Sorcerer finds Alannah grappling with her heartbreak as Brennus tries to ease her pain, all the while in anguish himself. She remains in Anrad to train and learn how to harness her powers, while Brennus' betrothed prepares for their impending nuptials and Evyette, Tristan, Kaleb, and the Magisters travel to Caelestis. But danger lurks and grows beyond the walls of the kingdoms, as Maligo carries out his plan to raise Samil, the most evil faerie to ever walk the earth. As Samil and Maligo begin the search for the 3 scrolls that will bring Samil to his full power, our beloved fae work desperately to thwart his plans every step of the way. Lives will be lost, secrets will be revealed, love will be tested, and when the dust settles, none of them will ever be the same.

"Why did you not fight to be with me instead?" She stood from her chair. "You could have told him that you were not going to be alone. There was someone by your side already." ~Alannah

This second book of The Kingdom Chronicles series gives us a closer look into the lives of both good and evil. I loved that the story was divided in a way that we get to see POV from all 3 groups of characters in the story. It gave a much more all-encompasing view on the story, with the pieces fitting together perfectly like a puzzle. The ever-noble Brennus is torturing himself and his true love Princess Alannah by carrying on with his father's plans for him to marry the strong and beautiful Isibeal, but really Alannah had little time to spend pining after her prince. She had many unforgiving hours spent training and learning to harness the incredible power she holds within her, and the visuals for these scenes were outstanding!! Alannah is truly working her way into the title of ultimate bad-ass heroine, I just loved how incredibly strong she grew in this book! And dearest sister Evyette was out to impress as well; she holds her own as she and her love Tristan scour Caelestis with Prince Kaleb and the Magisters, and find themselves ambushed as they try to solve the mystery of Evyette's past. But they definitely never expected to find what they did about Evyette's true bloodline, and she comes face-to-face with the horrifying truth. It was such in incredible jaw-dropping, suspense-filled twist, and it brought the pasts of our favorite villains into center stage as they all braced themselves for the moment their worlds would collide. There were so many clever and perfectly-timed revelations that you never expect, and the battle scenes were intense and so brilliantly described that you feel like you're right in the middle of the action. I held my breath through a lot of this book!

Being the romantic that I am, I was desperately hoping that my favorite couple would somehow find a way to be together (and no, offing Isibeal wasn't outside my realm of possible outcomes...)!! My heart was racing like crazy every time Brennus and Alannah found moments to be together and I fumed whenever Isibeal was around him. I wanted to take Brennus by the throat and scream for him to stop trying to live up to an agreement that should never have been made, but at the same time he just had me panting and drooling over his sexy manliness!! Whew, that man knows how to pull off the alpha male just right!! *fanning self*

"Alannah, my heart is yours." He said softly.

"And yet, I must hand it over to someone else for the keeping."

(GAH! This moment ripped my heart out!!!)

I finished this book this morning, and I find myself not wanting to leave the magical world Morin created with these stories. Her incredible talent was clear in the first book of this series, but Sorcerer just makes most others in the genre pale in comparison. Her writing is so refreshingly sophisticated, well thought-out, and eloquent, and combined with her gift of creating a fantasy world that is utterly breathtaking and characters that command the reader's attention, this story is absolutely incredible. I was mesmerized by the imagery and detail she used to mold her tale, and the jaw-dropping suspense and heart-stopping romance had my pulse sputtering and racing at every turn. She's giving the likes of Cassandra Clare and Julie Kagawa a run for their money with this series, and I can't wait to get my hands on more of her amazing work! Especially since when BOTS ends you will be screaming out profanities and cursing your kindle for saying 100% when clearly there must be more!!! GAH!! This series is an absolute must-read and a definite favorite of mine...phenomenal!!!

I want to thank the author, B.C. Morin, for providing me with an ebook ARC of this novel to read for an honest review!

*If you have not read the first book of this series, Mark of the Princess (The Kingdom Chronicles #1) then you will not understand this book and need to GO GET IT AND READ IT NOW!

I have to say that I wasn't sure what to expect from the second book in this series, but I wasn't expecting what I got! And I mean that in a very good way! Wow, this book was packed with action, romance and some scary scenes that had me on the edge of my seat!

Blurb from Goodreads:
Love will be tested, great powers will emerge, and hearts will break over a death no one saw coming….
Princess Alannah hoped that upon her arrival in Anrad, things would begin to look up. But she comes to find that the warrior fae that she has fallen in love with is truly the Prince of Anrad and has been betrothed to another by his dying father. Isibeal, his betrothed, is beautiful, strong, and hiding a secret that Alannah is determined to reveal.
Adding to her worries, her sister Evyette has set off on a journey to uncover her increasingly mysterious past. Finally discovering who she is and where she came from, Evyette will find that some things are better left unknown. As Tristan and Kaleb help Eveytte through this discovery, she is yanked from their clutches by Samil who has volunteered her as the final sacrifice for him to remain in this realm.
Will Alannah succeed in her training at the hands of Master Jadoc, the Elder Faerie and still make it in time to join Tristan and Kaleb in stopping Samil? Will Brennus go against his dying father's last request and follow his heart?

I first want to start off by saying what an awesome cover this book has. I love the Mark of the Princess cover, it is just gorgeous. Well, this cover is just as amazing! The best part is how it actually tells the story of what's inside the book. Sometimes covers are just there to look pretty. But this cover serves both purposes! It's gorgeous and it gives you an idea of what the book is about! And the colors, I love love love them! They are dark and sinister, just like the story line. It's perfect.

The character development was so much fun in this book. I was looking forward to getting to know the characters better but I wasn't expecting to meet so many new and interesting ones along the way.
Princess Alannah surprised me the most in this book. She turns into a confident woman, as opposed to a Princess who was just learning to come into herself. It's fantastic to watch her grow, especially as she learns to use her powers.
We see much more of Evyette in this story, as well. She really is the center of the story. She is the reason why they are fighting the evil. She is what Samil is looking for, although I won't tell you why as it might ruin the story (I'm not going to spoil the fun for you)
And Brennus, well, to be honest, I just want to punch him. I know he feels a certain sense of being committed to his father and their community, but, argh, he's so stupid! He loves Alannah, yet he chooses to be with another woman because it was his father's dying word to do so. And the worst part is that he seems to lead her on throughout the story, allowing her to have a glimmer of hope that they might be together, but then pushes her away over and over again as his sense of duty calls to him. His whole demeanor made me so mad. And, yet, you feel a certain draw to him. He is sexy and confident and just downright alluring!
And Kaleb, oh my sweet Kaleb. I just love him. He's sweet and kind and gentle. He cares so much for Alannah and Tristin and Eveyette. He tries so hard to be strong and confident when you know deep down inside all he wants is to have someone of his own to love. And Tristin, he's so funny. I want to sit in a room with him and let him joke around with me. He makes you feel so comfortable. And his love for Evy is unsurpassed. He would give his life for her. And it was great to meet the other supporting characters: Master Jadoc, Isibeal, Arora.

Now, as for the story line, it takes so many twists and turns. It had my heart racing in so many different spots! I wasn't sure whether I was coming or going! LOL! It really kept me on my toes and definitely kept me wanting to read on into the book to see what happens.

I'll be honest here, this book is MUCH better than the first book. Don't get me wrong, I liked the first book a lot, but I just felt so much more connection in this book. I saw that the author's writing had grown and that she was more invested in her characters. I felt myself moving through the story with them, wanting to help them out. Morin's writing really brought me right into the story, I could picture every detail of the castle, the forest, the island. It was all there right in front of me to touch and feel! And what a cliffhanger of an ending, are you trying to kill us Ms. Morin?

I really am looking forward to the next installment of this series. I cannot wait to see what happens as evil is still lurking and romance is still not tied up in the package I want!

4 out of 5 stars from me!

ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW!!!

Firstly i would like to thank the amazing author of this book and great friend B.C.Morin for giving me the honuor of being one of the first to read the continuation of The kingdom Chronicles story.

I loved every second of mark of a Princess and this was no diffrent.

Morin's writing is so visual it had me in another world, i felt like i was standing with the characters as they went on their journeys as they experienced what they experienced. It was amazing. She goes into full detail at to what the character is seeing and feeling and you feel every second of it, and you can see the imagines of what she is describing from all the detail. I loved that it felt like i was in sync with all the characters.

Blood of the Sorcerer picks up where Mark of the Princess left off.
Alannah is heartbroken with the knowledge that the one she loves is
betrothed to another, and even though Prince Brennus, loves Alannah he must honour his fathers last dying wish amd marry Isibeal ( who i hated from the start LOL). I loved the stolen moments when Prince Brennus and Princess Alannah. Alannah is training with Master Jadoc who helps her become the strong warrior she becomes and also to help enchance her powers.

I loved that the book took us on 3 journeys the one of Brennus and Alannah, Evyette and Tristan, and also the evil Samil and Maligo.

Maligo is back as evil as ever but this time he has bought back Samil after raising him from hell. Maligo and Samil and the Dorchae want to bring down all the fae and rule all the kingdoms.

One of the things that i loved was that when a fae a passes they are returned to the earth and a tree is sprouted on the foundation that they are placed, its beautiful that life of a tree is created upon death.

Evyetts story was heartbreaking as she is on a journey to discover who she is and where she comes from, and with Tristan and Prince Kaleb by her side they go off to discover this. They will cross paths with the evil that is Maligo who will stop and nothing to get what he wants. Through the journey Tristan and Evyette grow closer and she also becomes close to Kaleb.

This book has it all mystery, evil, love, heartbreak, action, adventure, tearing at your heartstrings, torture, sexual chemisry LOL it has a little bit of everything that is what makes an amazing story.

This story is written so beautifully it flows perfectly. B.C.Morin is an amazing writer and i cant wait to see what happens in book 3. B.C.Morin is a author to watch out for , ill definately be reading whatever she writes as i know it will be brilliant.
I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO EVERYONE BUT MAKE SURE YOU READ MARK OF A PRINCESS FIRST LOL

Blood of the Sorcerer Review:

First off, I want to thank Barbie for giving me this ARC to review!
I've been dying for this book ever since I read Mark of The Princess, -which was absolutly EPIC!!!- and didn't think I could fall in love with the story or the people anymore then I already had, but boy was I wrong!
The story goes back and forth between Evytte and Alannah's point of view and even goes into Samil and Maligo's point of view a few times. Alannah is back in Anrad with Brennus to work on training with her magic, while Evytte is traveling to Caelestis -where she was born- with Kaleb and Tristain to find out more things about her birth mother. And throughout this story, we meet the woman betrothed to Brennus, Isibeal. Ahh Isibeal... I didn't like her very much.
Don't even try to guess what's going to happen next in this book, because you will be wrong. There are so many twists and turns in this book that I finished it in two days. And I don't really read books that I have to read on my computer, but I had to get the PDF form of it and I HAD to read it on my computer.
I felt so much emotion in this book. I came very close to crying in the end and I was even fanning myself a couple of times because of the hot 'n' heavy scenes. They were wonderful :D
I had saw in our discussion group, that one of the girls who had finished the book already, said what a major, MAJOR cliffhanger at the very end. When I was reading the last few chapters, I was thinking, "What kind of cliffhanger could be at the end?" I didn't know how their could be a huge one considering what was happening. BOY WAS I WRONG. It so much worse then the cliffhanger in the last book! I could just die. I NEED TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!!!! I NEED TO KNOW NOOOOOOOOOW!!!!
And last I must say: Thank you Barbie, for not producing an unecessary love triangle for either of the couples. That alone made me want to give this book 5 stars.
With all of the awesomeness in the book I should give this book 1,000 stars but, since my star scale only goes up to 5... I still give it 1,000 stars! I can't wait to read book 3!

I loved Morin's first book, Mark of the Princess, and for that reason, wasn't sure she could outdo it with the second book in the Kingdom Chronicles series. Boy, was I pleasantly surprised.

Blood of the Sorcerer takes the already rich, complex characters I fell in love with in MotP and turns them into story lines in and of themselves; I NEEDED to know what made Brennus the way he was, I NEEDED to know where Alannah got her courage, I NEEDED to know what was pushing Evyette through the hardest of times, I NEEDED to understand why Maligo was so evil. Morin delivers.

If you read MotP and, like me, couldn't get enough of Alannah and Brennus, then you will love BotS. Their story gains depth that adds so much emotion to their plight that you will feel it yourself...and get ready, because it's one hell of a ride. Tristan and Evyette are as delightful and entertaining as they were in MotP, but be prepared for some serious curves in their storyline -- as a matter of fact, get ready for curves all over the place.

B.C. Morin is a master of puzzles, taking the readers on a ride through incredibly creative twists and turns, and dropping completely unexpected but believable bombshells just when you think you have it figured out. Don't try to guess what's going to happen - you'll probably be wrong, and that's what makes this author fantastic.

Do yourself a favor. Go get The Kingdom Chronicles: Mark of the Princess. When you're done reading it, immediately get a copy of Blood of the Sorcerer (you're going to want to, immediately, anyway, trust me.) You'll love them both, and like me and a quite sizable fanbase that call themselves "The Kingdomites," you'll be eagerly awaiting the next book, and the world and characters you'll be enchanted with.

OMG OMG OMG You did it again B.C. Morin! You left me in tears and wanting to throw my kindle across the room. I loved it! I just finished and I am still emotional and climbing the walls wanting to know what happens next.
I want to thank you for allowing me to be among the first to read Blood of the Sorcerer. I fell in love with Alannah, Brennus, Kaleb, Evyette and Tristan in Mark of the Princess. Their energy and close relationships gripped me and I couldn't wait to follow their journey. Blood of the Sorcerer continues right where Mark of the Princess left off. We have evil Samil and Maligo trying to gain power to shed the blood of every fae in the Five Kingdoms. I didn't think I could hate them more, but I was wrong. Samil is evil and sadistic and I wanted to run a sword right through him myself.
Alannah and Brennus had finally chosen to be together until reaching Anrad and finding Brennus's father dying. His final request was for Brennus to marry Isibeal and take their place on the throne as king and queen. Alannah stays to train for the upcoming battle while suffering the loss of Brennus, knowing they cannot be together. I cried so many times experiencing her pain and heartache. I just wanted to smack Brennus and tell him to wake up!
Evyette, Tristan and Kaleb go on a quest to find answers to Evyette's past. Many surprises find them.
Romance, heartache, battles, magic and lots of sexy Brennus! Blood of the Sorcerer has everything you need and more. I love this series and can honestly say it is one of my all time favorites. YOU MUST READ THIS BOOK!!! Did I mention Brennus? OUTSTANDING!!!!

* I received this book from the author in return for an honest review.

B.C. Morin has done it again! Blood of the Sorcerer is a captivating, action packed and romantic book that will leave you wanting more. I love the fact we get to learn a lot more about the characters and the journey they must take to grow into who they are as a person. In this book we meet a few new characters along with the old ones and I have to say I just love Master Jadoc, who is Alannah trainer. Some of the things they say to one another really made me laugh and he is defiantly a person you want on your side in a battle!

Blood of the Sorcerer is defiantly a book I’d read over and over I highly recommend it. I really enjoyed the turns and overall journey they have to go through to defend the ones they love. But will defending them be enough or will Alannah lose the one she loves to a dying father's last request?

Need to get a hold of myself first.. Review to be posted soon! :)
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
(after a few days)
Ok, now I can finally do this!
Hooohhaaaahh!!!!

Me too, I’d like to thank Ms.Barbie for giving me the opportunity to be an ARC reader and reviewer –How.Cool.Is.That?!!

In my opinion, the sequel to Mark of the Princess is the proof that the second time truly is the charm. Yes Book I was perfect in its own way- a complete magical story, hands down! But. The second book just - (palpitates) - got me in all sorts of high- I was crazier! This is just on another level. I just want to thank the author for her great mind. She created a beautiful-beautiful-beautiful world.

BotS is the continuation of the journeys, training and exploration of the characters we loved in MotP plus a lot of new faces. It’s told through 3 different parts happening simultaneously : 1.) the heartbreaking events at Anrad with Alannah and Brennus 2.) the adventures of Evyette, Tristan and Kaleb at Caelestis 3.) the search for three scrolls by Maligo and Samil. These may be the important divisions of the story but a lot has transpired between the beginning and ending chapters of this book and these events will leave you exhausted and craving for more. There were so many twists in the story; new information revealed I felt I was realy there doing the investigation myself. Then, I was just recovering from shock because of a certain surprise, another mystery unfolds- it’s crazy!

The characters and their personalities are stronger. Alannah, Brennus, Evyette, Tristan and Kaleb- I easily connected with them in MotP, I know I’ll forever be loyal to these remarkable fairies and I just fell in love with them all over again in Bots. They all had to face harsh truths, accept or fight for things they couldn’t control, and endure everything thrown at them. These characters continue to amaze and inspire me. There were a lot of moments I was shouting and pulling hairs hoping they could hear me, specially the ever-so-hot Brennus but-frustrating-sometimes!!! I undserstand it was an obligation to the king but- - - - arrrghh! Alannah is so not alone here!!

The new characters: I love Master Jadoc, Isibeal- not very much!! That girl may be a full blooded warrior but I’ll strangle her, she can’t have Brennus, what was she thinking!!??

And then there’s the “death no one saw”. Writing this made me feel empty again. I was crying so hard when the character was giving “his/her” final good byes and I was just “nnoooooo please no” and shaking my book!!! I immediately sent the author a pm after my bawling session showing her what she did to me!!!

Finally, the cliffhanger of all cliffhangers! Ms. B.C. Morin is just the master of all things torturous- she is so sweet to her readers like that. Oh-my-freakin-!! Things were just starting to get exciting again and then- Bam! *wait for the third book*!! Oh you bet I will; not just to see what happens with that last scene but to meet my favourite fairies again and be with them for more adventures!

Hea y'all Anne here to rave and review about Blood Of The Sorcerer by BC morin, wow and holy wow is all I got lol. I fell in love with mark Of The Princess whivh is book 1 and let me tell you book 2 is like a drug for a reader!! Oh my, the story picks right up where Alannah and Brennus left off. Full of love and devotion with a twist of destiny and choices thrown in. Brennus must make a decision as to what kind of man he will be but Alannah is left hanging in the balance, mean time she hones and brandishes powers the likes of which have never been seen. Jardoc her trainer pushes her limits to show her what she can and will do, she is afraid of her potential but must accept it if she is going to walk herr path in life.
Eyvette her sister is on a mission to discover who she is and where she came from all the while her heart becomes more and more infatuated with the brave and noble Tristan. He loves her and will fo anything to help her. Kaleb the sweet and cocky friend has become entangled in a love triangle that he is only aware of. He loves girls that he can never have because he is to honorable a friend to do such things.
New Characters open and unfold and some old ones grow stronger making this story huge and epic! Once you start you can't not think abput it. The scenes take you away, the relationships leave you breathless and wanting and the action has you dreaming (literally) of brandishing swords or riding dragons through the clouds racing to save a loved one. Nothing is left unsaid or untouched, every detail is perfect and fits the intensity of this amazing story. The villains are devious and dangerous but secrets unfolding leave everyone in a state of shock and awe. I can't say enough great things about this book without giving away the story. 5 out of 5 stars for Blood Of The Sorcerer by BC Morin and I am on edge for the next book!!

I absolutely loved the first book in the series, but this one had it beat. I just couldn’t put it down. The characters became even more real, the scenes more gripping, and my reality kept slipping. I cannot wait to continue reading about these wonderful characters in their amazing kingdoms.

In this novel evil brings death and destruction in its wake. Some of the main characters lose their lives. I found myself mourning them right along with the surviving characters. There were definitely some “ I so did not see that coming” moments. The twists and turns in the plot keep you riveted from page one to the very end. Everything jumps off of the page at you because of Morin’s vivid descriptions. This includes everything from the intricate dresses worn by the princesses to the very real sword fighting scenes found throughout.

Morin continues to develop the characters in this saga. Each character remains distinct and a whole person in and of themselves. The variety of powers that these fae possess becomes even more pronounced as well. Each character has a different set of powers, and even if there is some overlap, no two are exactly the same. Also, the extent of the powers possessed by some is absolutely astounding.

The relationships between the characters also continue to develop. The love triangle that we saw in the first novel shifts to encompass some new characters, while a very stable relationship ends up with a bit of a twist. Throughout this progression, the friendships between the characters are cemented through their trials and losses.

By the end of the novel I wanted to continue reading and living alongside these fae. Unfortunately, by the time that I got to the cliff-hanger of an ending I found myself stuck wondering until the sequel comes out.

B. C. Morin created a wonderful fantasy world of the Five kingdoms in her debut novel, The Mark of the Princess. There we met the Faeries: Princess Alannah, Princess Evyette, Prince Kaleb, Tristan, and the gorgeous Warrior Faerie, Brennus. Morin’s Kingdom Chronicles series continues with The Blood of the Sorcerer. The Faeries must battle the evil Samil. Evyette discovers the shocking truth about her past. And Princess Alannah and Brennus must face overwhelming obstacles if they wish to be together.

B. C. Morin weaves her characters’ tales beautifully in her newest page-turning story. Morin’s brilliant writing paints vivid pictures transporting you to the land of The Five kingdoms. I feel like I’m right there with her characters cheering every victory and suffering with each heartache. I love Morin’s creativity such as each Fae possess a unique set of magical powers as indicated by their individual markings. She created a fantastic setting with Faeries, demons, sorcerers, goblins, dragons, and even a mermaid. I’m honored to be one of the first to read both stories in B. C. Morin’s Kingdom Chronicles: The Mark of the Princess and The Blood of The Sorcerer. Both books are a great escape into another realm. I’m addicted to Morin’s characters and can’t wait to read the next books in The Kingdom Chronicles.

Oh gosh I don't even know what to say. First off I want to thank B.C. Morin for allowing me to read an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. I was so happy and excited. From the moment I saw the cover and read the description of Mark of the Princess I knew this was the series for me. This book continues where MotP left off and does not disappoint. It is amazingly written switching between character viewpoints and makes you feel like you are there. So many questions are answered in this book but so many more are asked. When I finished this book I was heartbroken to know I have to wait for the next one. This series is so masterly written, it deserves to be a huge success. I would LOVE to see this as a movie and I will hope and pray!

Blood of The Sorcerer, is great from the beginning, a stunning sequel. The characters have greatly grown and developed since the first book in The Kingdom Chronicles and it is a journey of it's own. I especially love Evyette's role in this story. She takes root and discovers her purpose. There is a tragic loss, although I won't give away who/what, relationships are tested, and lines are drawn. If you loved Mark of the Princess then you'll love Blood of The Sorcerer. The only downfall... you have to wait to find out what happens in book three, which is definitely on my To Be Read list!

ARE YOU FLIPPING KIDDING ME!!!! Why in the HELL would you leave THAT big of a flipping cliff hanger Barbie???? AHHHHHH!!!

Okay, so while I was reading BOTS, this is what happened to me (and what I ended up saying out loud) and probably why my boyfriend looked at me like I was from mars:

*eyes widen* ooooh no he didn't!!!
"Jeremy, if you interrupt me one more time I will hit you with my Kindle"
'if he doesn't fix this I'm going to flipping strangle him!'
'oh come on!!! SOMEBODY better whoop his a**'
'no no no no no no noooooooo'
*sobs*
'awe that's so sad yet so sweet'
'YES! DON'T GIVE UP!!!'
*slapping Jeremy on the arm* "WHAT THE EF! WHAT THE EF! WHAT THE EF!"

And that's just some of the mentalness that attacked me while reading. All I can say now with the emotions still running high through me is: "Barbie, you better get the third book published pronto!!! I cannot survive with that much of an emotional cliffhanger!!!! AHHHH!!!"

Okay, so in BOTS, there is no wooing from B, because hey, she already had you snared from MOTP (Mark of The Princess). So it reads like the middle stages of love, where you know the flow of the relationship (characters vs. readers), and you think you have all details mapped out...... NEWS FLASH! No, you don't! Barbie throws you through an emotional wringer, leaving you gasping for air and in a state of shock at the end.

You'll think to yourself 'Yeah, I know who's going to end up with who, and you knooow they're going to have a happily ever after and whoop some major but, go good guys!', but Barbie just laughs in your face and says, 'hey, watch this', and BAM!!! all preconceptions are thrown right out the flipping window leaving you in a state of what-the-ef-ery.

As much as I would LOVE to go into explicit details about how much parts of this book affected me, and could probably write thousands of words on my feelings of what happened, I CAN'T because that would be a HUGE spoiler, and as much as I am in dire need to vent about the awesomeness and sometimes tragic (very heartbreaking, sob in your cheerios and go into a depression, tragic) parts, I shall not spoil the book for you.... *sobs* it's just soooo hard!

But, what I can tell you is: Yay! no more love triangle! BUT you will flip when you find out what exactly happens between some relationships and who actually ends up falling for who (never guessed that would of happened and, oh my flipping monkeys, I'm still reeling from it).

There are MANY climatic scenes in this book, and while with some books there's a drag between action, in BOTS there isn't, which makes the ride much more fun and even more ensnaring. The battles the characters face are written out beautifully to where you get the full scope of whats going on without the nauseant pages long of blah-blah-blah details that end up making your eyes glaze over and cause you to lost track of what's happening.

The character vs. reader emotional tie in this book was so strong that i literally started crying. Not just a glimmer of tears with a little sniffle cry, but full out, tears streaming down my face, snot building in my nose, completely unattractive cry. And that RARELY occurs for me. So bravo Barbie! Major brownie points for you with that one :)

Unlike a lot of series where one book is better than another, or (as is dreaded by a lot of readers), you absolutely HATE the second, third, etc. and can't believe you wasted that much time reading it, BOTS is actually one of those rare occasion books where it's not better or worse, it is a perfect continuation. Almost like the second part of a movie where the climatic scenes increase more for the epic precipice.

I cannot stress enough my level of recommendation for this series. I'd be screaming in your ear and threatening you with a wooden spoon (hey, they can hurt really bad if used properly) until you finally relented and clicked the little button that says 'buy now'. Soooo, what are you waiting for?

Until next time, Happy Reading!

This book was a great sequel to the first one. The story was original, interesting, and kept you wanting more. If I hadn't had to work I would have finished this book in 2 days instead of two weeks. There was one thing that bugged me. Brennus was my favorite character in the first book but he was my worst favorite in this one. Brennus let a neglectful, dead father dictate his life even after death. I just don't see why if you love someone you don't fight for them. It just irritates me. Alannah is too good for him. Anyways that being said still love him just mad as hell at him right now. Moving on. I loved Alannah's character she is no longer the naive, spoiled brat from the first one. No now she is a confident, strong, beautiful woman who can kick even the strongest warrior fae's asses. Whoo Hoo you go girl. Not only that but love Evy and her stubborn backbone against the evilest fae ever. Tristan is a prince metaphorically speaking. He is charming and handsome and he does everything in his power to save Evy. Kaleb is a bit of a third wheel in this book poor guy but still loved him. Isibeal also bugged me again not fighting for the one she loves all because a dead King made a ruling.

The plot was interesting, original, and hard to put down. In this book Samil has come back because of Maligo and he needs to find three scrolls that hold his powers in them. The last scroll requires a blood sacrifice which he kidnaps Evyette to get. He gets his hands on her while Evyette, Tristan, and Kaleb are on a journey to find out who she is. While this is happening Brennus and Alannah are back in Anrad where Brennus has been crowned King and Alannah is training to control her powers. Brennus has been forced into an arranged marriage by his father and he and Alannah are no longer on the best of terms. What's going to happen next...? Is Samil going to win or will Alannah kick his ass..? Will Alannah stop the wedding in time to get her happy ending...? Can't wait to read the next one.

I just loved this plot it had twists and turns, it was original and the ending even made me cry. After everything Evyette had been through she lost everything. This book was a little more depressing than the first book. But in my opinion it was better than the first book because of it. The things we find out about Evyette were foreshadowed pretty heavily in the first book but it was still fun to find out.

4.5 stars Firstly I'm so thankful and honored that I got this ebook arc, thank BC Morin.
This is the second book in the series mark of a princes and I have to say what a series it is!
This book is the amazing fairytale, you get it all like you do in the first book, but MORE! Cause this story has got more twist and more romance and more kick ass that you just can't stop thinking "damn, what next?"
I loved how this 2nd book flowed from the first and the story continues, as Alannah has gone to Brennus kingdom to get her training, leaving behind my second lover boy Kaleb (yes, I completely fell for Kaleb, and his loving heart in the first book) and hot Brennus is about to be a king but that's all great until you find out that the current king, Brunnus dad, last dying wish was for him to marry someone else..! And damn this broke my heart for them, loving and seeing who you love but can't have them...? But can you? I mean Brennus is a king right? Well you really need to read the story to have that answer ;)
Kaleb, and his best friend Tristan and Alannahs sister Evy are off to get answers about Evys past and her mark but here's where the second twist continues things aren't as easy specially when the evil of all evil is after Evy and Kaleb, Tristan, Evy, Alannah and Brennus have to join all forces to stop the evil sorcerer getting what he wants but no that's not all Just as all this is happening there are broken hearts, loving hearts that keep on loving, lives at risk and most of all an AMAZING fairy tale that will always keep you gasping and heart racing!
I loved the first book but I love this one even more... And shared a lot of heart wrenching tears with this book, and after that damn cliff hanger I'm banging my head wondering what will be of the next book!
If you love your kick ass, fairytales with steamy hot warriors, twist and steam and princesses that can fight better than man, then this is your type of book!

* I received this book from the author in return for an honest review.

Wow!! Blood of the Sorcerer was a heart stopping read! I was so enchanted, I couldn't put this book down.
Alannah is heartbroken over the fact that Brennus has been betrothed to another by his dying father.Brennus loves Alannah but feels he must honnor the dying wish of his father. It seems nothing Alannah says will get him to change his mind. What will the future hold for Alannah and Brennus, are they destined to be together or will they be torn apart? Isibel is Brennus's betrothed she has her own secret and Alannah is determined to find out why she keeps sneaking out at night.

Evyette sets out on her own quest to find out about her past, will she regret what she finds out about her lineage? When Evyette is taken by Samil, Alannah and their friends will stop at nothing to get Evyette back. Will they be strong enough to save Evyette and defeat Samil and his army?

I love the whole book from beinging to end, there is heartbreak, love ,danger, and with all the danger there will also be some loss. This was a OMG!! ending in more way than one and I am dying to find out what will happen in the next book.

After reding the first book (Mark of the Princess) I thought there could be nothing better that that but i was wrong!!! Blood of the Sorcerer was amazing. It's a wonderful story written in a very strong way. B.C. Morin gave us another one masterpiece!!!!
Well, what can i say about the story. We can see a prince torn between his duty and his heart's only desire, a princess struggling to control her powers while everything she loves are being taken from her, the second princess trying to find out about her past and finding herself in danger of being the sacrifice the evil sorcerer needs in order to become whole again. Not to mention all the other characters and their secrets about to be revealed...
B.C Morin had all the ingredients to make an amazing story and all the talent it needed to make it so alive. I love the Kingdome Chronicles book. Thank you Barbie!

See my review on
http://www.reviewbuzzz.blogspot.in/20...

First of all, I would like to thank the author for giving me this book in exchange of an honest review.

Well, with Blood of the Sorcerer, B.C Morin have shown...again, why her name is going in my most-favorite-author list. Her writing is extremely visual and captivating.

This second book in the Kingdom Chronicles started right where Mark of the Princess left. Alannah has come to know that Brennus is the prince(and now the king!) of Anrad and is going to marry someone else (read a fae named Isibeal) as per his dead Father's wishes( not fair!..at all). She's heartbroken, yet shows a strong front and goes on with her training with her master. The way Alannah's character is shown as a strong willed, confidant woman with a soft spot in her is very impressing. She's determined to uncover the secret that Isibeal is hiding and get her Brennus back(go on girlie...we are with you).

The author takes us on two more journies within this book. First one is of Evyette and her quest to unravel her past. Along with her are Tristan and Kaleb. She will cross paths with the evil sorcerers Maligo and Samil. Her story is heart breaking but I loved that I get to experience all this with her and watch her grow closer to Tristan, as well as Kaleb, who will surprise you immensely in this.

The other journey is of Maligo and Samil. Maligo is back as evil as ever but this time he has bought back Samil after raising him from hell. Maligo and Samil and the Dorchae want to bring down all the fae and rule all the kingdom. Although it might make some readers think that I have lost my mind, but I have to say that I came to like Maligo towards the end of this book. His remorse was heartfelt and the way he saved Evyette was hearbreaking (oops!...wasn't supposed to say that. Huh..get a grip girl, you don't want to spoil it for others..yeah.Right)

Anyways, moving on to sum up and still maintain the curiosity factor, let me just re-write the blurb from the goodreads official review
Love will be tested, great powers will emerge, secrets will be revealed, and hearts will break over a death no one saw coming…

Just one last word, this book has some major cliffhanger, the likes of which you may never have seen. So our dearest author, you might want to bring the third book out real soon so that your dear readers don't die out of curiosity. What can I say, I just have to... have to know what became of all the characters that I have come to love!!

First, I'd like to say that I really liked the fact that this is a proper sequel. It picks up from where the first left off and I really appreciate the fact that the author didn't waste paragraphs on end going over everything that happened in the first book, making it almost unnecessary. Granted, if you haven't read the first book or haven't read it for a while you'll struggle but I like how it gets straight back to business and doesn't waste time and actually I think readers and fans can appreciate this author's sequels are completely for them.

I'll be honest though. I didn't start to remotely enjoy it until around the 60-65% mark. I was reading it up until then, purely as I refuse to give up on any book. Finally it got to a point where it didn't feel like a chore and it got pretty good. Now I feel bad being negative about a book because I appreciate how much work and time goes into it and given the numerous five star reviews, I suspect that perhaps this just isn't my genre.

The "should not" and "did not" and "cannot"'s drove me insane and I know how petty this is but it's the why it bugged me that bugged me so much - clearly I wasn't captivated and I wish I had have been otherwise I'd not have noticed or cared. I don't know if the first book was the same, if it was, I certainly didn't notice it.

The author manages to create a good visual for you and it's enjoyable to almost be able to see this fantasy world in a way that I find quite unique. Having not ever read anything like this before, I'm not sure if that's typical or if it's a particularly special quality of the author but she makes visualising her story effortless.

I wasn't a big fan of this, but I accept that I'm in the minority and I'm sure most people will love this and eagerly await the next instalment.

I received this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review and I was so excited to be a part of this read to review after reading book one and LOVING it and this one was no different better than the first and so much more emotional exciting and so much revealed about all the characters yet still so much to learn. I am so upset about how things ended what a cliffhanger I just want Brennus to stop being so stubborn and just be with Alannah and after book ones cliffhanger I didn't think that there could be a bigger one but BAM there it is. The rest of the characters were just as great and I was so so so shocked many times in this book and I just could not stop reading waiting for the next exciting thing. I can not wait for this fantastic journey to continue and to find out the answers to all my lingering questions.
Thank you once again to B.C. Morin for giving me the opportunity to read this great story :)

I was given this book by the author to read. I was highly anticipated this book since I have read the first book and I was not disappointed. It had me hooked at the first chapter till the end and it left me wanting the next book. If you read the first in the series then you know that this book would give you what you wanted and more. As many secrets will be revealed and hearts will be broken can love outlast all that has gone wrong? Will Evyette find the answers she is looking for? Will Princess Alannah learn all that her powers can do before the war comes to save those she loves? Can Brennus forget the vow he made his father on his death bed to wed another? To find out what is in store for these and many loved characters in this series get your copy today. I can't wait till the next book is out. I highly recommend series.

BRAVO! I read the first book and the way it was put together was very.....strange. But this one? Much better! The story flowed much smoother and I actually started likening the main character, Alannah. I started to understand her more. She started acting more her age, mor the age she was supposed to be. I especially enjoyed her training sessions on how to use her magic. She proved to be very strong, brave and capable. Even when one of the training sessions proved to be too much for her and ended up exhausting her, she never showed it. She knew that she had to be strong and not show any fear or exhaustion. The same goes for her sister, Eveyette. And while I'm still rooting for Kaleb (I just like him, okay) I can't help but like Brennus. He seems to be a good and honorable man. Bravo Ms. Morin! Well done!

I loved this book. I could feel the love Alannah has for Brennus. I can also feel her hurt and confusion with him. Yvette and Tristin were in love. Both trying to help themselves and the other far people. They sacrificed, catered to others, and showed strength. This is a great book. Can're wait for book three.
