From AMATERASU to ZEUS, the stories, myths, and legends of the world's Gods and Goddesses. More than 130 gods and goddesses arranged by their spheres of influence, and over 200 colour and black and white illustrations selected from the wealth of art that the deities have inspired.
This book definitely is not very good. It's missing many of my favorite stories from mythology. Also, several very important gods and goddesses are left out.
this really linked the God's and goddesses together threw some of the older religion.it was nicely done but o do wish their would have been more story's
The book is about the different gods and goddesses in world mythology not just your typical Greek, Roman and Egyptian gods and goddesses. It also includes some Celtic, North European, African, etc. gods and goddesses. Elizabeth Hallam did a wonderful job on giving brief yet complete descriptions of each deity that she included. I give the layout of the book and the descriptions 4 out 5 stars. I wouldn't change anything in the book. I recommend this to anyone who loves mythology and studying world cultures.
