Spy Games #1

Trained for Seduction

Rate this book
Emma Walters didn't choose to be a spy, but when her crazy father was caught selling bombs to the wrong people, she was given a choice--become a spy or rot in jail. Her exciting new life as agent Kate Wells becomes more so when she discovers her new boss is the agent--undercover and investigating her father at the time--who took her to third base. Emma is already half in love with the dark and dangerous Chase Sanders. Kate wants nothing more than for him to finish what he started, but he's the devil incarnate. And one doesn't make deals or fall in love with the devil.

If someone had told Chase he'd fall in love with a certain virgin when he was on his last mission, he would have shot them dead, sniper style. She was nothing more than collateral damage, damn it. But watching the sexy new spy morph into a bombshell killing machine is too much to bear. So when the powers that be command him to train her in the art of seduction for her first--and possibly last--mission, he's scared witless. Making love to Kate means preparing her for sex with another man.

Somehow, Chase has to find a way to get Kate in--and out--of her mission without dying. And without falling in love.

Mia Downing started creating heroes at age four, but her heroes back then rode ponies to the rescue and only kissed her on the cheek. Today, Mia’s heroes still rescue those in need, but the price of their toys and the expertise of their seduction leads to a whole lot more.

When Mia isn’t busy creating new stories for her readers, she ensures justice runs smoothly in a New England courthouse. She lives on a small farm with her family, and enjoys horses and knitting.

Fun facts: Mia can juggle poorly, create balloon animals, and face paint. She was the hit entertainment of two family parties. No clown suits were involved.

My Review:

I have read some amazing books lately, but this is the first one in a long time that has so completely blown me away. And the thing is, it was an immediate thing...10% into this book, I knew it was going to be an incredible read. This is one of those books where you HATE to see that you are getting close to the end because you don't want it to end. So good!!!

Emma was a brilliant person, but grew up completely under the thumb of her father...basically trapped to do his "evil bidding". She was his genius child and was trapped working in his lab building bombs...bombs she thought she was building for the US. It turns out she was wrong although she didn't find that out until later. She finally worked up the courage to escape all that the night she met Chase and found out that her father valued her even less than she originally knew.

When Chase met Emma, he was undercover trying to entrap her father in an illegal arms deal. He was told Emma was his birthday present. That seduction made it to third base before Emma knocked him out cold and escaped. For both of them, that night was haunting. In the year since, Emma's father has died in a plane crash that almost killed her too. The US government informed her that she either go to work for them for 10 years or go to prison. In the year since, they've reformed her into super-spy Kate. The only problem, she still has her virginity and that won't work because her first mission requires her to seduce. It's Chase's job as her boss to take care of that problem.

Chase knows that he should give her over to someone else to take care of her virginity, but the idea literally makes him feel ill. She doesn't realize it, but he's been watching over her for the last year and he's definitely heavily emotionally involved.

This book is so good, because Chase is so torn. He can't resist the pull to Kate, but knows that he absolutely is going to crush her in the end. Her mission guarantees almost certain death. She'll never forgive him for that and what she'll have to do before that and he's not going to survive her dying. Every moment of this book pulled at my gut and my heart. OMG, it is so emotional and so perfectly written. From Chase with all his emotions that he simply doesn't know what to do with, to Kate who is so incredibly smart and trying to be tough in the face of all HER emotions, to Jake who is watching both of these people whom he loves get torn apart.

Hmm, I haven't mentioned Jake yet have I? He's Kate's partner and her best friend. He's also been Chase's best friend for years. Something happened to them in Paris that haunts the both of them, while at the same time, giving them an incredible bond. They are absolutely brothers in every sense but blood.

Everything about this book was amazing. It's incredibly erotic, highly suspenseful, and just so freaking good and romantic. I'm buying it in print and counting down the days until October when Jake's book comes out. I cannot recommend this one enough. If you love suspense, if you love erotica, if you love angst, if you just love an incredible emotional story....YOU NEED TO READ THIS BOOK!!!

I received a complementary copy of this book in return for an honest review.

Kate is being trained as a spy, and her mission is to seduce the enemy. The problem is, Kate is a virgin, with almost no experience in the art of seduction. This means it is up to Chase, her boss, to teach her everything he can about the opposite sex. But, how does he train her to seduce another man when he is falling for her himself?

This book was a wonderful surprise for me! After reading the description, I knew I would enjoy the story. However, when I see words like spy, guns, bombs, etc., I immediately think I am going to be bogged down with endless details about the characters' mission, before getting to any of the good stuff. Boy, was I wrong! This book took off on page 2! There was heat, passion, humor, angst and suspense-something interesting on every page! I'm still thinking about some of the sex scenes, which were creative and original! I lost a lot of sleep, staying up into the wee hours of the night, turning pages. But, it was sooooo worth it!! And, those backstory details? They only added to the story! Just enough to get a feel for what Kate and Chase were about to take on.

I'm not usually a re-reader. But, this is one that I know will be even better the second time around, knowing what I know now! By the end of the book, I had a completely different perspective on each character than I did when I started. There were even a few jaw-dropping revelations that made me immediately turn back the pages to re-read entire scenes with new insight into what was really going on.

Mia Downing definitely has a new fan! I look forward to reading some of her previous books, and I can't wait to read all about Jake in her next delicious spy story!

I have a HUGE Book Hangover! HUGE! I’m still reeling from reading this book and I can’t find another one to read! I desperately want to read the next one in this series, but since it doesn’t publish until November, I’ll have to wait. DAMMIT!

This story had me reeling from the very beginning. Emma is a wonderful heroine. In many ways she’s jaded as she’s had to deal with her psychotic father, and in other ways she’s sweet, innocent and naïve. All that changes when she meets Chase Sanders.

Emma is innocent in dealing with men, having friendships, and interpersonal relationships in general. She’s worldly in learning how to prepare herself to disappear and survive on her own.

Chase is an alpha male who NEEDS to be in control….of everything…..at all times. Emma/Kate destroys that control and takes him for the ride of his life.

Mia does a fantastic job of creating characters that pull at you in so many different ways. Her characters are diverse and have more depth than most I’ve ever seen. I love how she separates Emma from Kate, even though they are the same person, they aren’t. Emma represents all that is innocent and naïve while Kate represents what she’s had to do to survive with the limited options available to her. Chase is much the same way. He’s the boss and is often an asshole to those he care about, all in the name of the mission and protecting the American people. He’s also this wonderful, funny, warm, and witty guy that relaxes when away from the office. He loves Emma and Kate and she loves both sides of Chase.

Chase is placed in an interesting and heart-wrenching predicament when he’s told to prepare Kate to be a seductress and send her in to kill someone. Especially when he finds out she’s not expected to survive. Chase does his duty and seduces Kate and along the way falls in love with her. How can he send her off to die, when he loves her? How can he accomplish the mission and get her out alive?

The dichotomy of the characters was phenomenal! I felt every heart breaking decision they made. I hated Chase with Kate and my heart broke when Chase made her hate him.

At one point I had to stop reading because I was crying so much, I couldn’t read the words. Once I calmed down, I finished the book. I stayed up all night just to finish the book to see if Kate and Chase would get their HEA. I HAD TO KNOW!

Side Note: The BDSM in this is very light.

There were some definite twists and turns in this plot and it had a unique storyline. I’m eagerly awaiting the next installment of the Spy Games series.

I received a copy of the book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Now this is what I call a sweet romance! Kate aka Emma and Chase are a very cute couple. This romantic suspense was pretty good in the romance department. The smexy scenes of the two getting it on were very hot. I liked it! This is definitely a kinky good read for those who enjoy the romantic suspense genre.

The character building in this story was good for me. While I couldn't really sympathize with Kate, I could empathize and I liked her. She was pretty cool and who doesn't like a woman who knows how to handle explosives? I'm impressed. The languages she could speak are a total turn on too. It's nice to have a smart lead female character who isn't exactly perfect, but she's pretty darn amazing.

The duo Chase and Jake are pretty good too. Chase is a conflicted character and his relationship with his uncle/father figure is messed up. I feel badly for Chase. I do like his relationship with Jake and how they cover for each other. Jake is a sexy friend and he's so nice. I look forward to the next story in this series which features Jake.

So, it comes down to the world building. I have to admit, it's probably me, not the author, Ms. Downing. The first few chapters were difficult for me to believe. It's because these characters are so young and the secret covert ops was a bit far stretched. I'm becoming more critical of these tropes when set in a contemporary setting. This is because I've recently joined a military group where I'm learning more about the armed forces and LEO in the States. This set up is not believable. However, if I suspend my disbelief and go with the story, it's really good. The conflict and the mission while a bit out there, is still well written and flows.

Overall, this is very enjoyable romantic suspense with engaging characters. The romance and the kinky sex really did it for me. I recommend this book to all kinky romantic suspense lovers. Ms. Downing is an author to watch.

I love it when the girl is really, really smart and she gets the hunky guy. And I totally loved the fact that the guy was so turned on by her brain. Mmmm, makes me shiver just thinking about it.

This was a very fun and erotic read. I don’t know what I was expecting when I started it but was totally caught off guard on how much I enjoyed it. (I’ll even admit that I dropped the author a note – how geeky am i?).

When her own father betrayed her by offering her innocence to a man she never met, Emma Walters did the one thing spy Chase Sanders never expected, she caught him off guard. A year later Chase is still paying for the memories that still haunt him, especially when he watches Emma train who has a new identity as Kate Wells

I finished reading this book at 1:30am this morning, and have not slept since, so I'm a little bleary eyed, and apologise if this review is full of typos. That being said, I couldn't put this book down, once I had started. I was trying to stretch it out, and make it last longer, but I needed to know how the story was going to unfold. Yes, I'm a sucker for a well written story and also somewhat impatient when immersed in a good book, and this read is certainly in that category.

I've not read a book by this author before, so was not sure what to expect, but I feel I am a fairly seasoned erotic fiction reader. I have quietly been reading smut for many, many years, hiding my growing addiction, as it's not considered polite conversation in circles I run with. Having bought the Kindle last year, means I can read what I want, and no one needs to know my dirty little secret. Even if I have just outed myself here!

Once I delved into this book, I immediately feel in love with the characters, and even wanted to be one of them, at times. The story was fascinating, the chemistry was sizzling hot, and the emotional aspect was to die for! Basically, I did not want this book to end.

If you've read the FSOG (Fifty Shades of Grey) trilogy, as I had, and you enjoyed that story, or the effect it may have had on you, then I'm fairly confident this story is right up your alley. In fact, I'll go one step further, this is a superior read, as it's more mature, more emotional, and more realistic.

I will definitely sign up for the next edition, and can't wait to devour that book too. I've read the prelude and I'm hooked. If you're a fan of well written erotic fiction, I feel you would be doing yourself a favour, to go and grab a copy.

I may never have found this author if it wasn't for my book club...and that would have been a crying shame!
Emma is an innocent genius who is unknowingly given as a birthday gift to a dangerous undercover agent (Chase) for his birthday. She freaks and leaves him unconscious in her hotel room, but is unable to forget the way those few stolen moments with him made her feel.
Flash forward a year- Emma (now going by Kate) is now an agent herself (it was either that or jail) and her partner is none other than Jake, Chase's best friend and subordinate. Kate soon learns that Jake is to be her partner in a dangerous mission assigned by Chase.
In the meantime, however is the fact that Kate still remains a virgin and the fact that she has been assigned to be a seductress isn't lost on her.
Chase never expected to fall for an innocent virgin that he knew for such a short time but there it is. Seeing her grow into the strong woman she's becoming is a huge turn on that he just can't walk away from--

Even though this mission means he will have to share her.

This book is HOT. While you would think Kate would come off as meek and shy because of her innocence, she is anything but and I really loved that about her. The author does a great job of writing a heroine who is able to take charge of her own sexuality despite her inexperience. The hero's are drool worthy, Chase and Jake have a strong friendship and sharing Kate tests it's boundaries in a way they haven't ever had to deal with.

This is the first book in a series that you will not want to miss!

Kate is a spy who is not certain she has the moves to pull it off. The smarts she had no doubts about that but the skills to accomplish it are a whole another story. Though things get a little confusing and awkward Kate does her best to prove that she is good enough. She is a fighter and knows more about guns then most men, and I loved that! I would describe her as loyal, feisty and determined. Stubborn is also a good word because she refuses to give up on Chase even when he won’t admit his love for her. While she may be submissive in bed, she is slowly becoming a deadly woman outside of it. Kate is an amazing character and is very lovable.

Chase did everything he could so that Kate wouldn't end up in jail. He was a sniper in the Army who moved into the spy business after an injury. He was a great boss but let his issues come in-between him and job. He told Kate from the beginning to hate him because would everything easier as time went on. Normally he was a good boss but towards the end of this book he let his issues stand in the way when Kate, his agent, needed him.

Jake to me was the comic relief and the charmer. He doesn't hold himself back and what you see it what you get. He knows Chase is in love with Kate and does whatever it takes to bring her home. Even volunteers to go with her on the mission even knowing he might not make it back.

It was very cool watching Kate transform into kick ass spy throughout the book. I loved her dynamic with Jake because it was so funny. It was almost easier for that relationship then the one with Chase because Jake didn’t hold himself back. For a while I felt like Chase was pulling Kate in two different directions because he thought Jake was easier to love. Then I remembered, no he is a man and they are kind of irrational. I did want to deck Chase a few times for being an ass.

Lol Mia wrote a great spy book with hot, fun sex scenes. I loved it because the characters had so much depth. They connected so well together even when they tried to fight it. I was extremely glad when they are finally got together. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Ok, about five pages in I really thought I was going to just have to put this one down - it was absurd in the extreme - and frankly I was shocked, because it got good reviews from several reviewers who's opinions have been spot on int the past. That said, I'm SO SO glad that I stuck it out, because it turned around completely, and I totally fell in love. Despite the insta-love which pretty much always drives me crazy - I adored Emma/Kate and Chase. LOVED them. Kate is kick ass in every way - and such a survivor - and Chase - poor Chase just holding on by his fingernails to some kind of control. I am also THRILLED to see that Jake is going together a follow-up book - because he is just amazing in his own right. It made me laugh, it got me all choked up, and it left me with a smile - couldn't ask for more.

I really, really enjoyed this book. You have your hot alpha male spy with Chase who gets TOTALLY turned on by a woman's brain which is sexy as hell. His just as sexy best friend Jake who is also a bad ass spy but not as intense as Chase. And the VERY smart and intelligent Kate who is a daughter of a mad scientist, a master bomb maker and spy in training. Chase is their boss and has to send them on a mission where the odd's of Kate and Jake making it out alive are not good. Love the action, the romance between Chase and Kate, and the hot sex. Looking forward to Jakes story in Lethal Limits .

4.5 stars. Loved it! It's a great feeling when you think a book is going to go a certain way- and then it surprises you in a good way, and goes in a different direction. When I read the first couple chapters I was afraid that the book was going to be too fast paced, and more tell than show. I was pleasantly surprised when the book quickly changed gears, and slowed down to the perfect pace letting us learn who the characters are and where they came from as well as letting the reader watch them develop and bringing them to unexpected places. I loved the chemistry between the 3 main characters, and I loved the complexity of their sexual situations. Totally hot stuff, and I will definitely read more in this series.

Contemporary romance between a spy trainee and her boss, who met years before. She has to be trained to be a spy and go in and set up some bombs and seduce a bad guy, and she fits the mold of the enemy's type perfectly. Problem is she's a virgin and so the boss decides to train her that way.

The love scenes between the young woman Emma/Kate and her boss Chase, are super hot! There is a lot of chemistry between Kate and Jake too, but in this book, Jake is the third wheel.

The execution of the plot is a little weak, but it is still enjoyable. Would have liked if the suspense and the mission part had a little more detail instead of a couple pages. There is a brief scene of a ménage in the end.

Loved it!! This book had just the right amount of EVERYTHING... action. passion. drama. love. fear... they are all part of the story.
I really enjoyed the relationship between Chase, Kate and Jake. The fact that Kate works with her best friend and for her boss/lover lends to a fabulous storyline... oh, and did I mention that they are SPIES? They get to do things and go places the average person never would. I don't want to give too much away... so JUST READ IT! I know you will love it too.. :)

Emma is a genius and the daughter of a terrorist, a mad man, a heartless bastard. Her father decided on her 25th birthday, as an added bonus to Alexander Bishop, a man he thought he was selling illegal weapons to, he would gift his virgin daughter, Emma. Emma was immediately attracted to this stranger but at the last minute she ran....

One year later, Emma wakes up with a new identity as Kate Wells. Kate is being trained as a spy for her country to escape imprisonment for terrorism by association of her father, although she had no idea the weapons/bombs she made were being sold to other countries. She believed her father when he told her she was helping her country. Kate is being trained to become a spy by her partner Jake. Jake is one gorgeous as sin, temptation who teases her unmercifully. Kate, although tempted by Jake never let's it go past flirtation because she gave her heart to another man in another life.

Kate soon finds out her and Jake's boss is none other than the man she ran from over a year ago. The man her heart was given to one night when she escaped her father and his cruelty. Chase Sanders, her new boss was none other than Alexander Bishop.

Chase was in love with his new agent. He fell in love with her innocence, her softness, her intelligence when he first laid eyes on her over a year ago. Although, now she is known as Kate and has a new appearance due to reconstructive surgery, and a new identity he still see's Emma and the heart wants what it wants. Chase has a very difficult mission ahead of him though. He has to make sure Kate is ready for her first mission. A mission that he knows she will not come back from. But before he can send Kate on a mission to seduce a terrorist so she can get close enough to kill him, he must teach her how to seduce a man. Before the seduction lessons can begin though, he has to tend to a pesky little problem Kate has... Her virginity.

Chase and Kate spend a fabulous weekend together, bonding with one another and enjoying the passion that erupts once they become lovers. Chase warns Kate not to fall for him- he doesn't so relationships. Chase also battles with his feelings for her, knowing when she finds out what he has to send her to do, that she will hate him.

This is the first book by this author that I have read and I have already downloaded another one from her. I enjoyed the storyline, the passion and mystery that she included in this book and I am looking forward to reading Jake's story next. The little ménage that was thrown in the story at the end definitely sealed my desire to read more about the delicious Jake.

This story begins with Emma waiting for his father´s BA in his room. She has spent most of her life working in his fathers lab working on explosives he "sells" to the US Government. He told her she needed to be at Alexander Bishop´s room and wait for him. When they meet she is attracted to him immediately and him to her as well. They make out but she tries to stop him and he refuses because her father told him there was a birthday present for him in his room. .So she head-butts him and leave him unconscious. She knows is time to leave her father so she runs.

A new chapter starts with a woman called Kate hiding behind a tree, watching her new partner Jake talking to a man that looked like Alexander Bishop but in a younger version. She has to work as a spy or rot in jail for terrorist actions against the US. They then tell her that his father wasn´t selling anything to them but instead was doing business with explosives with outer countries. Later is known that he is her new boss..Chase (WHAT?!!!) and he is H-O-T as hell he is also BFF with Jake. He put her as Jake´s partner in hopes that he took her sexual inexperience for the job she was intended to do in a near future. Jake has made a lot of moves to get into her pants but she doesn´t let him..So what does Chase does?!!

YES.!! He takes one for the team and finished the task his friend Jake couldn´t. Find out what happens next and keep reading..........

I really enjoyed this book A LOT. I was awake reading until 3 in the morning and spend most time of my work shift reading too. I just couldn´t put it down.!! There were parts that made me smile, cry, feel anger.. This book was full of heat, love, suspense and some action with a lot of sex scenes that are worth a gold medal.. My eyes were literally glued to my kindle screen the whole time. Kate and Chase´s sex chemistry is amazing. It was so smart to put background story about all the characters and I have to say that when Paris was finally revealed my jaw dropped.!!! I put my book down and just said WoW.!

"Can you stay with me? One shouldn't have to meet the devil alone".

Jake had warned her about that stare. The mask of doom. Really?!! LOL

"He´s going to fold his hands on his desk, and that means all hell is going to be unleashed. You need to set him on edge to have an advantage if he´s unleashing the hounds of hell."

This author just got a new fan.!

Trained for Seduction is an intense, action packed, desirable tale that holds you prisoner and doesn’t let go. This is the type of book you devour in one sitting. It’s easy to fall in love with the cast and the plot. It definitely leaves you craving for more when you reach the last page. It’s a good thing the series continues on because I’m not ready to say goodbye to these characters.

Emma is being used as the sacrificial lamb on a mission. The chance of her actually surviving is slim. Chase is her boss and has no desire send her in, but it’s not his call. His hands are tied. She must seduce a crazy-assed terrorist, plant a bomb in his bedroom, free her partner and escape. But how does a virgin know anything about seducing a sick and twisted sex addict terrorist? Chase knows her only chance of surviving is to be trained for seduction, and who better to teach her everything she needs to know than him? These two are electrifying together. Their journey is not an easy one and the way they overcome the odds stacked up against them is emotional and consuming. Their story is beautifully written and it allows you to not only read the conflict, but experience it and feel it as well.

To add another layer to this tale, Emma’s partner, Jake and Chase are best friends. Jake plays a huge role as a supporting secondary character. He is the only person that Emma trusts and he and Chase have an amazing brotherly bond. He is thrown in the middle of these two in the most delicious of ways.

I don’t want to give anything away because there is a lot going on between the pages and the suspense and twists and turns are what drives it. It’s a really fast, entertaining read that lays the groundwork for what should be a kick-ass series. There are endless possibilities and a lot of potential in the secondary characters. We have several back stories that need telling, but it doesn’t take away from this story, just leaves a door open for more.

There may be parts of the book that seems to be unbelievable or far-fetched. Remember, its fiction. Just read it for the incredible, suspenseful, and sexy as heck, erotic story that it was meant to be and I promise you will enjoy.

Emma Walters is a captive to her father; a brilliant scientist with destructive motives. She is sheltered, privately schooled, and trained to work in her father's lab. Unbeknownst to most, Emma is more talented in the lab than her father and the inventor of deadly bombs.

Chase Sander is undercover and assigned to investigate Emma's father. He is gloriously tall, dark, and handsome and the commander of dangerous mission. He is trained to conquer at all costs, including emotional welfare and life.

After the death of Emma's father she is given a new identify as Kate Wells and assigned to work for Chase. The mission requires Kate to learn a skill she is unfamiliar with, seduction and sex. Chase, who is planning an intricate and possible deadly mission for Kate, is all too willing to train her (...true gentleman, right?!). Their training is steamy, electrifying, and intense, and because Kate is to remain expendable for this mission, Chase repeatedly commands her not to fall in love with him. My suggestion to Chase, "learn to practice what you preach or else...".

This story is intense. Both characters are forced to survive and prevail while dealing with emotional turmoil. The "training sessions" ignite dynamic, steamy sex causing the relationship of the characters, and the readers, to fluctuate and intensify throughout the book. A roller coaster I love to be on! Warning: this is a book you won't be able to put down!

Trained for Seduction was one heck of a fun ride. It was sexy, suspenseful, and just an all around fun book to read. I've read a few of Mia's books in the past, but this one is my favorite so far. The only thing I wanted more of was maybe some action between Chase and Jake, but that SO isn't going to happen much to my dismay. The attraction is there, but I think Chase's issues with his Uncle will keep that from ever coming to fruition.

Anyhoo, so the story is about Kate (Emma) who is leading a new life and the guy she thought was a distant memory turns out to now be her boss. What started out as a one-weekend deal to take care of business, develops into so much more than either of them were expecting...and it's hot...oh so very hot! Throw in a bit of action and suspense on top of that, and you have the makings of an awesome read in my humble opinion. Now I can't wait to dive into the next book, because I'm betting more steamy, sexy, and suspenseful times are to come. I'm also interested to see who can tame wild boy Jake.

This was an erotic, sexy spy caper that's so over the top its good..

Emma Walters father was a crazed scientist that basically kept her prisoner. She was was also a genius like her father but very much sane. One night her father pimps her out to a "business partner" Emma was intrigued by the man even though she knew he had to be a bad guy. Things get hot and heavy but right before she is about to lose her virginity she knocks the man out.

Years later after being rescued from a plane crash that killed her father she is forced to become a spy. Before long she not only is one of the smartest spies they have but also a very well trained one in combat.

Chase Sanders was undercover all those years ago and was the man that Emma almost slept with. Now he runs the organization that she is apart of. When they meet to say Emma is shocked is an understatement. But Chase needs her for a mission and that mission entails her seducing a terrorist a skill she is not fluent in. Chase has taken the job of being the one to train her in seduction.

The heat level between these two was off the charts.

4.5 Stars

Trained for Seduction is an action packed, intense, suspenful new series that completely captivates you and makes you feel a part of this exciting spy world.

there is a lot going on between the pages and the suspense and twists and turns are what drives it. It’s a really fast, entertaining read that lays the groundwork for what should be a kick-ass series. There are endless possibilities and a lot of potential in the secondary characters.

This is an incredible, sexy as hell erotic story that you won't want to miss out on.

5 Super Nova Stars!!

OMG, this book was off the charts with the fireworks! Wow, total hotness.

Aside from that, it also had a really great story to go with the amazing sex too! That's so awesome when you can get both out of a book.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and recommend it to anyone who likes Romance, Erotica and Suspense.

Ms. Downing did a SS about the H's BF's birthday which was solely about some very spicy sex that comes with an unexpected surprise (good and bad).

Yes, I'm reviewing these after reading both. There's a 2nd book about the H's best friend that I'm definitely gonna read.

I couldn't put this book down. It was full of suspense and sexy romance and it left me wanting more, I can't wait to read the next book in the series. The smoking hot sex scenes and adventure made this a must read in my book. I recommend it to any girl that enjoyed reading Fifty Shades of Grey. Great novel and beautifully written! As an English major I don't have much time to read anything for pleasure and this was deifinately a for pleasure read.

It's that time of the month where I just feel like reading erotic novels, so my last lot of books for the Readathon have been changed to accommodate my mood lol....

I loved this book.... Had some unique points to the story and was very hot.

As with most books the end was transparent from the start, but even so I would read it again and again.

I rated this book 4.5 stars.

This book is not for me. Or at least the way it starts.

Virgin heroine gets seduced briefly by hero...a year later she is some super spy. Hero is now her boss and in love with her. He is worried she doesn't have proper sexual experience (I guess for her job?).

The insta-love, super spy stuff, constant sex talk doesn't do it for me. DNF.

I totally loved the relationship between Kate and Chase. I'm glad that the romance was not overshadowed by the spy elements, though there was a bit of espionage involved. Things really got emotional and dicey when Chase discovered he'd fallen for Kate and might have to sacrifice her for the good of the mission. A very sexy story that did not skimp on the romance.
