In New Orleans in 1869, M'su Cahusac, a charlatan of a lawyer, preys on vulnerable women, convincing each one that she is a legitimate descendant of the long-lost Dauphin, who fled Paris for New Orleans at the age of 10 during the French Revolution. Therefore, he tells each victim, she is the rightful Queen of France. Tantalized by visions of wealth, palaces and power, each victim responds in her own fashion to this preposterous revelation, which the lawyer claims is supported by the Historical Society of Paris.

Thornton Niven Wilder was an American playwright and novelist. He received three Pulitzer Prizes, one for his novel The Bridge of San Luis Rey and two for his plays Our Town and The Skin of Our Teeth, and a National Book Award for his novel The Eighth Day.

یه نمایشنامه کوتاه و تا حدی بامزه. وکیلی که موکلهای ساده خودش رو به قصد فریب دادن و پولی به جیب زدن،میخواد گول بزنه که شما وارث تاج و تخت فرانسه هستید. دو سه نفری میان و هر کدوم یه واکنشی دارند.با توجه به کوتاه بودنش واسه سرگرمی خوبه ولی ترجیحم بود غنی تر بود.البته شاید پیام هایی هم در بطن نمایشنامه بوده و من متوجه نشدم.

تله تئاترشو دیدم که جمشید اسماعیل‌خانی به خوبی نقش اون مرتیکه کلاه‌بردار رو بازی می‌کرد و نون دوم «آنتوانت» رو به جای مکسور، ساکن تلفظ می‌کرد.
