I have to admit, after finishing the story of Chase and Jamie (Rock Stars Do It series), I think I can appreciate much more this story, because now I can see the difference between what Chase had with Anna and what he had with Jamie. The former can’t come anywhere near the latter.
I still don’t like the plot of this story, and strongly dislike Anna’s decision to come to Chase for this interlude, but as for the depiction of this kind of erotica – fiery chemistry but no real romance – Big Girls Do It Wilder has its raison d’étre.

Anna arrives to New York to meet Chase. After some “Chase-chatter”, they do it like bunnies. Wait. Not after, but during. They actually start it in the taxi from the airport.
I don’t like that Anna behaves like a cat in heat, and simply can’t control herself. Literally: anywhere, anytime. They share a fantastic natural chemistry, and are obviously having a good time.
It starts to get boring, actually. Endless sex games at home alter with quickies in public. The long erotic scenes, well, are excruciatingly boring and repetitive and really test your patience. I prefer the quickies: first, they are quick, second, they are extremely steamy and fun.
At times Anna is doing some thinking, but not much. They have no time to talk in the intervals between concerts, parties, recording, and having sex. Besides, Anna doesn’t want to talk because she needs to think it over first.
Of course she feels that something is wrong...
Don’t get me wrong, I like erotic stories even with not much plot or events, but I do want some emotional background, and in general I love romance. I couldn’t find either of them here. And there were parts where my brows arched high, really high...
Then one night suddenly poor, poor Chase finds himself in an alley in back of the bar,
Anna storms away, in tears. Chase runs after the cab with tear-blurred eyes. Seriously. It’s almost dramatic. Even the driver pities him. But not Anna. She flies back to Detroit, crying all the way.
An awful and predictable end (?) of a superficial and sexual-based relationship.
Otherwise, if the author’s aim was to make the reader disapprove Anna and Chase’s affair, she has done a good job. Except, I was already on Team Jeff.
Two stars for the quickies, plus a half star after reading Rock Stars Do It series.

This is where I jump off this series. I just can't keep on reading when I keep hating Anna more and more. Again with the unprotected sex, and then we find out Chase has "hooked up" with other women. He's not safe! And I really hate how she broke Jeff's heart. What a biatch! And no, I don't feel sorry for her. Not with the way she's been acting. Serves her right.
Reading this is just making me angry, and having to review this is making me angrier still. I'm out.

STOP READING NOW... Spoilers from here on out. Also, this isn't so much of a review but a cry for common sense. I don't understand why some authors can't do the socially conscience thing and add a tiny "putting on a condom" scene (it can basically be just a sentence), because it's reality folks. I've read hundreds of stories that got it right and its really not that hard. OK, there are a few of reasons why an author wouldn't write a "putting on a condom" scene, but the point is, there needs to be a reason! I can only think of three reasons right now: a Pregnancy or STD storyline or if the characters were monogamous*. SO AUTHOR'S: I want to see a "putting on a condom" scene EVERY time. (unless it's one of the reasons mentioned above).
(*If the characters are monogamous, even more discussion needs to be had.)
The story is actually good but I just couldn't get past the ick factor. If you've read the book, then continue on...

Wow if I had any doubts about Anna being a shallow bitch it only took one line into this book to have that fact reaffirmed.
"One glimpse of Chase Delaney in leather pants, a tight T shirt and shit kicker boots was all it took to get my libido raging and drive away any lingering doubts about coming to New York." - Anna
Now don't get me wrong, that is one hell of a HOT picture right there, Chase in his leathers and shit kickers is sexy as hell, BUT Anna, seriously!? One look and you forget Jeff, friend and business partner for years, lover for 2 weeks and you forget him because your one night stand looks delicious!? Oh no the doubts are still there just pushed down by a torrent of lust. What the fuck are you, a teenage boy? She is driving me crazy!
There is a lot of hot sex in these books but the story doesn't have enough depth and even though I like Chase, Jeff and Jamie's characters I'm not sure that they are enough to balance out the pain in the ass that is Anna.

WARNING! This review if for book #1-#5.5 in the series
Anna DJs and sings at local bars with her friend Jeff, she loves her job and although her family are dysfunctional she has some great close friends, but she is also plus sized with serious body image issues. So when gorgeous budding rock star Chase starts pursuing her she doesn't know what to think, guys like him don't go for girls like her right? But as Chase shows her how beautiful she is, she also starts to notice her best friend Jeff, she can't imagine a life without him in it. Chase and Jeff are both such different men, but who is she meant to have forever with?
This review is a little bit of a cheat as it is for the books 1 - 5.5 in the Big Girls do it series (series order at the bottom of the review). Each book is a small installment in Anna's journey to find her happily ever after, a very HOT journey as she decides between two delicious but completely opposite men.
I read the first book in the series just because I loved the title and the cover, but I found once I started reading it, I just kept going to the next book and the next to see what would happen then BAM before I knew it, I had gone through all of them! And, although the sex in these books was hot and had me drooling over Jeff and Chase, I found I carried on reading as I needed to know which man she would pick, and I liked that Wilder kept you guessing; at the beginning of this series it wasn't that obvious who she would pick.
I really enjoyed this series, it was quick but really sexy and sometimes sweet read and I will definitely be looking for more Jasinda Wilder books in the future.

Now that I am rereading the series I am definitely looking at it differently and I have had to change my rating on the books I have reread so far...

Jasinda does a great job keeping on the edge of my seat with this story. Anna's intense relationships between Chase and Jeff....How could she possibly choose. I do feel as though she strings Jeff along which is frustrating. Which path will Anna choose???

At the end of Big Girls Do It Wetter I wasn't sure how to feel about Chase's letter. It seemed rather presumptuous, but off to New York Anna went. Getting to this book is where we can really see the differences between sex with Jeff and sex with Chase. Upon getting to NY, Anna and Chase "f**k like bunnies" (as she so eloquently puts it in book 4). Honestly, I spent most of the book waiting for the other shoe to drop. Chase, while seeming to truly care for Anna, has achieved rock star status and all that entails. In other words, he has women throwing themselves at him left and right. Needless to say, I was not at all surprised by the compromising position Anna found Chase in near the end. On two occasions Chase's wording really said it all. First is after the first show she attends where he tells the groupies he is busy tonight but has another show coming up soon and that they can find the details on the band's website. The second is in the alley when he tells the women that he doesn't want Anna to find them, seeming to indicate that his main concern is getting caught, not being faithful to Anna. While actions he might be able to explain away ("Oh, they cornered me in the alley. They were coming onto me, not the other way around." etc. etc.), his wording pretty much condemned him.

Oh...my...god... `Big Girls Do It Wilder' had me tied in knots from beginning to end.
The chemistry is undeniably HOT! between Chase and Anna but I have to say I felt more of an emotional connection between her and Jeff so at the end of the last book I was left wondering what the hell! Anna thought she was doing jetting off to New York, and you know what? I don't think even she knew the answer to that one. I was completely hooked from the very first page through all the erotically charged & exquisitely choreographed encounters between our sex on legs rocker Chase and our voluptuous beauty Anna even though I was still waiting for the penny to drop.
I just don't know if Anna's heart & head are in as deep as her body, is it enough for her to just give in to her baser instincts or does she need more?
Miss Wilder you are an absolute treasure of the literary kind ;-) and I can't wait to read the next instalment.

WOW...WOW...WOW. HOT HOT HOT. I love this series as I keep mentioning with each review. They are short quick reads with a cute storyline and VERY HOT scenes! I don't think I've highlighted so much in a long time and in such short stories! Anna is a great character and I love how confident she has become. Such a refreshing series.

This one was just slightly better than the first two, but still not enough for me to give it that 3rd star. I thought I was going to love this series. I thought it was going to be empowering and uplifting, but I just find it all sad and depressing. I had hoped to connect with Anna, the main character, as I am also a "big girl", but I don't find that I can relate to her at all. I'm reading these as part of the Box Set, and I know there are more beyond the set, but I honestly don't think I'm going to be reading them.

Before I start, this review is for the entire series to date on the Big Girls Do Series books 1-5.5
As a "fuller" woman myself, this was a nice change.
4.5 Stars!!
Anna is a 26 years old, wears a size 18 and is as she says a "Big Girl". She is one bad ass tough girl that doesn't take shit from anyone. Having had a seriously fucked up relationship in the past she...she doesn't date much.
Enter Chase Delany.....mmmm Chase.
Chase is a rockstar, I mean a full blown rockstar...leather pants and tattoos included. One night know Chase and Anna's life is turned upside down and things become more clear for her. She learns who she is and that she is a gorgeous woman despite her size.
Sometimes....the best thing for you have been sitting right in front of you for years! YEARS!
Jeff Cartwright is Anna's business partner, they have DJ'ed together for six years now. Jeff is a man a very few words, he was in the Army, served time in the war and has seen some seriously messed up shit. Anna has known he has always had somewhat of a crush on her, she saw little looks here and there but that was all, he never pushed anything, shit, he never even said anything.
With Chase living his rockstar life, Anna starts to see whats been in front of her for so many years. Jeff has always been there, always protected Anna (not that she needed it). After and what the hell moment, she came on to Jeff who happens to be a perfect gentlemen.
Throughout the series, Anna finds herself in love with two very amazing men. One who is confident, caring, comfortable and safe, the other is exciting, wild and has some kinky ideas when it comes to sex. She doesn't want to hurt either of them but she knows she can't chose one. She knows she has to chose one....but who will she choose?
I wont give any spoilers but she does make a choice, to me...the best choice ever!! Yes, she does hurt one of the men, she has too, she can't keep them both (how nice would that be) but she finds her happiness, even when put to the test, she sticks with her choice and doesn't look back.
This is definitely a good read, they are short but make you start the next right away, I read the series on a whim one night and couldn't be happier. She has a spin-off to the series as well....most likely gives away who she picks but oh well....you will love it!
The 6th installment of the series Big Girls Do it Pregnant should be out sometime in February. ( I emailed Jasinda and she gave me the estimated time)
If your like me and don't have a skinny little perfect body, or shoot, even if you do, give us big girls some lovin too!

My Take:
So after Anna finds out what it feels like to be with Jeff, her long time best friend, she gets a note from New York....From Chase. Asking her to be with him.

Granted, Anna and Chase have some hot sex, I found myself skimming the sex scenes. They were really detailed and very long. I almost just wanted it to be done with. LOL I still kept thinking throughout the book "Why oh why did she leave Jeff?!"
Although Chase isn't my favorite (he is hot tho), he did boost up Anna's self esteem all the while. Which I thought was awesome.
But soon after Anna gets to New York, the rockstar lifestyle hits her right where it hurts and she has to leave. But what does she have to go home to? Will Jeff still be there?

So after Anna finds out what it feels like to be with Jeff, her long time best friend, she gets a note from New York....From Chase. Asking her to be with him.
She leaves Jeff, sadly, and flies to New York to be with Chase.
Once she arrives, she's in the rock and roll lifestyle with the hottest up and coming rockstar.
Can Anna learn to live with a rockstar? With girls wanting to be with him all the time?

In the second book, we're left hanging and guessing if Anna will follow Chase to New York or stay with Jeff. This third installment follows Anna's journey to NY. To be with Chase Delaney. Yes, she left Jeff. But the good thing is, Chase proved to us that he really wanted to be with her, not just for a one-night stand. He cares for her, and he is crazy about Anna. His feelings were just... Wow!
This book also showed how confused Anna was. She can't stop thinking about Jeff and how much she'd hurt him. And I was like - Yeah, right. You're with Chase right now, so stop thinking about another man. It's your choice to be with Chase, so deal with it!

When I first started reading this series, I thought “Great! A story about a real woman.” I was starting to get a little tired of reading stories about perfect men AND perfect women. Why do all the women have to be gorgeous? Give them a pimple, give them full hips, give them something so us girls reading can feel like we have a chance with the sexy main character. I was excited that this series would give us that. I just wasn’t ready for how much. There is LOTS of sex in this series, and I almost feel like there is too much. Don’t get me wrong, I like a good sexy book, but I also want a story too.
The one thing I did not like about this series is that just because the main character, Anna, is a bigger girl; she automatically has to be easy in order for a guy to notice her. Anna actually is a beautiful, strong woman; she just doesn’t feel that way because of men from her past. It made me feel for her. I know that there were times in my life that I felt like the only way to get a guy to notice me was to sleep with him.
This book takes you on a back and forth ride between Chase and Jeff. I almost felt a little dizzy at times. But, I was happy when Anna finally made a decision between the two and chose the man who truly loved her and treated her the way she deserved to be treated.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good sex story. There is lots of sex but again, very little story. So if you like steamy sex scenes and lots of them, this book is for you.

hmmmmmmmmmmmm...i don't like the way they separated ...hmpffttttt !!!
But when Anne meet Chase again....SIGH
and the feeling Chase feel for Anna, it was just ...wooooow.....
And they came again with hot passionate relationship between them...but...still...Anna missed Jeff back in Detroit....
Belom lagi kehidupan baru Chase yang calon rock star rada2 bikin perasaan nya gak enak, apalagi tau sendiri groupies rock star kayak apa, dan saat mendengar beberapa cewek bermaksud ngerayu Chase buat sum2an...wack !
Anna ngerasa jealous....dan gak nyaman, sementara Jeff, he's home...he's comfort.....
Apalagi saat memergoki Chase sedang "melakukan sesuatu" dengan 2 cewek backstage....wooooo.......Anna tanpa minta penjelasan, langsung kabur ke airport, meninggalkan Chase yang panik setengah mati.....
Let's go to Detroit then.....

Wow, we're just not gonna get that HEA we're waiting for are we? I was excitied to think that Chase really loved Anna & that's why he sent for her to visit with him in New York. It seemed to good to be true & maybe it is. Chase & Anna have a fantastic chemistry & he seems to offer her the sexual experience that she is craving at the moment. But what is with the open invitations to the groupies, either he wants Anna or he doesn't.
Chase always seems to be the one trying to get commitment from Anna & she is the one avoiding something permanent. But now with this situation in the Alley with the girls & basically getting caught with his pants down. Not sure what happened, it would seem the girls came on to him & he was trying to stop them. Him saying he doesn't want Anna to catch him, what's with that. But his distress at her leaving, now I'm confused.
I'm still not sure where I want this story to go. I did & didn't enjoy this part of the story as much as the first 2 books. I enjoyed the sexual capers of these 2, they really know how to heat it up. Now onto part 4 & see where the author is to take me. I do love Chase, but I can see where Anna would have reservations being with a Rock Star & all the groupie crap that is to come with that. But who does she have feelings for or maybe even love, that is the question, Chase or Jeff?
Thankyou to the author, this is an intriguing story. Making it hard for the reader to choose, is not an easy thing to do & normally by now have picked a team, but all open for Anna to choose.

This is the third book in this series and they need to be read in order. This was another quick steamy read. Anna received and letter and a plane ticket from Chase. He wants her to come to New York to be with him. She decides to go. But, what about what she started with Jeff? Things are a worldwind with Chase. There are concerts and being backstage. Not to mention all the hot sex they are having. But, Anna can’t completely forget about Jeff. She is going more and more confused about how she feels and what she feels for who. Then there are the groupies who throw themselves at Chase. Anna still has issues and this affects how she deals with these things. Things don’t go so well and Anna finds herself on her way back to Detroit without letting Chase explain what happened. I will admit that Anna is getting on my nerves. She has these two great guys that want her and she can’t make up her mind. I get that in the past she was just used and the guys she was with didn’t treat her like they should have. That she is coming into herself and getting some confidence in herself. But she really needs to make a decision. At the same time, I understand that she is letting some of her hang-ups from the past affect how she is acting now. I look forward to reading the next book and seeing what happens next.
