Hi. My name is Stacia. I'll be your cruise director for this trip on the spoiler seas.

Ah, what the heck. I probably could find a way to complain without spoilers like I normally do, but I figured I'd just warn you this time and you can choose whether or not to read this review, Cutie. So here we go - spoilers ahead. You've been warned.

Yeah, that's right. I said it. I called you a cutie. Doesn't that make you uncomfortable? Because I sure know that every single time Will called Chloe a Cutie, I felt like I was going to break out in hives. And I'm pretty sure he called her that at least a couple dozen times in the second half of the book.

It's almost as bad as Pigeon.

I've actually been reading this book for a few days on the down low, unsure if I was going to do status updates or even post a review. I know people think it's funny sometimes when I complain with multiple status updates, but I knew that once I got started, I wasn't going to be able to stop with this book.

But I'm such a sucker for the student/teacher dynamic. I can't even tell you why. I keep reading s/t books because they intrigue me when done right.

This would be the opposite of that. Unfortunately. :(

First off, a 22 year old man who has feelings for a 17 year old girl is not a pedophile. At worst, this is an awkward case of accidental statutory rape and a person abusing their place in a position of power. I wouldn't have even thought of the teacher as a creeper (at first) under normal circumstances (especially considering that he didn't know she was underage because he met her in a bar when she used a fake i.d.), except for the fact THAT HE KEPT ASSOCIATING HIMSELF AS ONE. *facepalm*

At least, I'll say that I wouldn't have thought it to start. He got pretty stalkerific as the book progressed. Who knew that a person could just happen to turn up just about every single time the person they're interested in happens to be kissing or hugging other people??? That's some serious dumb luck.

Will really sucked at staying out of Chloe's business. If he was so convinced that he wasn't good for her, then why was he always having an opinion about what she was doing? And he didn't help things by following her into the woman's bathroom to give his opinion. Yep. He became the creeper he didn't want to be.

Then there was Chloe. The immature, false-swearing, giggling and blushing woman-child. Who also happened to have no less than 5 guys try to hook up with her over the course of the book. Wait, WHAT? Why? I couldn't stand being in her head. She was a selfish brat who was completely nasty to Will for a good portion of their time together. From her side, she saw nothing wrong with being bitchy to the man who was giving her treats and sandwiches and trying to be nice (while still creeping though) to her. And by bitchy, I mean that she said a lot of cruel things to the person she claimed to care for. Just because someone can't be with you (for valid reasons), it doesn't mean that you get to be horrible to them for no reason at all. Take your pain and channel it elsewhere, woman-child. Yeah, you - the chick who says holy poop, sugar lumps, oh my days, and jeez constantly.

How can you take someone seriously when they say : Jeez, I need him so much?

You all know by now that I hate excessive emoting. There were copious amounts of winking, eyebrow waggling. smirking, nose-flicking, cooing (that was the guy), eye-rolling, etc. scattered all over this book.

What's worse, is there were times when people were emoting for no apparent reason. Do you see the need for an eye-roll in this exchange? "I thought you liked orange juice." I shrugged. "I do but they ran out." He smiled and rolled his eyes. "Here, Cutie." He put his bottle of orange juice on my tray.

Should I even go into the times that they forgot how to be discreet and should have gotten into trouble for their actions? Never mind the fact that friends and certain family were let in on the secret. *double facepalm*

Well, look at the time. I just realized that I still have about 20 more notes and highlights left in the copy of my book.

Eh, forget that. I've already said enough. What's even more sad is that these two managed to make it through the book avoiding the scandal that they well deserved. It was all sunshine and rainbows and happy epilogues for these people. The epilogue was far too sugary sweet and the book should have ended without that epilogue. We didn't need to know the "years later" update. The ending before was fine enough for people wanting to see something positive come out of the story.

Who should read this? Well, I don't know. If you made it to the end of my review, you pretty much spoiled yourself for knowing what's going to happen. If you like stories where people end up together, go for it. But don't say I didn't warn you about the awkwardness of it all.

*Releases long sigh and shakes head* This is a tough one to review. I'm going to try to cover both the things I enjoyed and the things I disliked, but I'm afraid there are more of the latter.

When I read the summary for this last week, my initial reaction was "oh yay, this sounds good!", but there was a nagging thought in the back of my mind. It's about a teenager who sneaks into a bar (obviously fake ID) and starts dating the bartender Will (obviously over 21), only to find out he's her high school teacher (ooookay, so she's a minor??). But despite these doubts, I decided this sounded too intriguing to pass up and I dove in. Chloe is indeed a minor, having just turned 17 only 3 months prior to meeting Will. I kept an open mind about it, though, and I did get into the chemistry between them despite the obvious issue that it's technically rape in the eyes of the law. But things started going south for me once Chloe goes back to school and finds out that Will is her teacher.

Chloe became quite possibly one of the most self-absorbed, clueless characters I have ever read and I really struggled to overlook her faults and get back into the love story behind it all. I could chalk some of her naive and immature behavior up to her being a teen, but honestly I just wanted to throttle her more often than not. I mean, besides the fact that she doesn't really consider what their relationship would mean for Will's future if they were caught until they actually ARE caught, she kind of just went around contemplating everything but always just running circles in her mind. Some things that are so utterly and completely obvious to the reader, she takes over half the book to figure out (the phrase "what on earth?" was used probably 20+ times). And the "awww, that's so freaking sweet", "so freaking adorable", "so freaking perfect" comments became really monotonous.

I'm getting a little nit-picky, but honestly the story was just amateurish at times. You can tell when a great deal of thought and research about the storyline is put into the writing for a book, and it was just lacking here. Some of the time lapses didn't line up, there were aspects of the plot that couldn't actually happen, and there was a great deal of this long book that could have been edited out for no other reason that to remove unnecessary fillers.

So yes, I've ranted about things I didn't like, so now on to what I did enjoy. I'm a hopeless romantic, so unless a character really drives me batty I'll always hope for the HEA. As much as Chloe irritated the you-know-what out of me, I still wanted her and Will to find some way to be together. I was secretly hoping she'd finally grow up and stop being so selfish, and she did finally put Will before her own needs. Will, god love him, was so over-the-moon for Chloe, and I just fell hard for him. I hated that he had to stand by and watch her flirt with every boy that was in 10 yards of her, and I would have loved to see his POV at times. He puts up with so much from her, and I just loved him to bits!! I absolutely adored Sam, Will's 19-year-old brother who becomes Chloe's dear friend. He was quick-witted, flirty, and all-around just a fun character. Chloe's friends Nick and Amy were great supporting characters, too, I liked that she had more than just one BFF girl pal to turn to all through the story. As for the steamy moments between Will and Chloe, they were pretty good; they were geared more toward the younger YA readers with the 'say it, but leave out the details' scenes, though. I liked the way Rae wraps things up in the end, albeit a little too neatly. She leaves you feeling like everything happened the way it should have after all their issues were dealt with, and I was happy with it.

I'm giving this book somewhere between a 2.5-3 star rating, since I didn't hate it but it fell short. If you're looking for another Slammed, this isn't it, but it's a decent love story in it's own right.

I didn't enjoy this book at all. The characters were not realistic in my option and the pace was too slow and the story had a bit too much detail. I didn't understand why Will liked Chloe in the first place. She was so immature and extremely annoying for her age (she often stuck out her tongue and said stupid things).

What really confused me is that Will and Chloe were intimate to the point that they started sleeping together, but Will didn't know how old Chloe was. It is just not possible. Moreover, Chloe agreed to go to Will's apartment only hours after they first met in a club. She must have been either stupid or too trusting to do so. After all, she didn't know him and going to his place at one in the morning like this for a 17-year-old girl was just a dumb thing to do.

I didn't like the wording either. The author kept using the same words repeatedly "or something, cute, cutie..." I think the book could have been much better if at least 100 pages were removed.

In short, I don't recommend this book to anyone who loves their book fast and fun since this one is just too slow and a real pain to read.

I've read this a while ago on Wattpad and I thought it was really good! I liked it a lot better than Colleen Hoover's Slammed if I'm honest. If you're into student-teacher affair novels, then you should definitely give When Summer Ends a try.

Started off GREAT, and I thought, "this is going to be a good one". Unfortunately, I was sadly wrong. Firstly, the author is obviously not American, based on her spelling. I'm assuming from the UK, as words like "realise" and "humour" are the correct spelling over there, not in the US. It was distracting to keep reading words that were obviously misspelled for an American reader. (The book is based in the US).

Additionally, the book is very drawn out and just soooo boring and slow at times. I've read other reviews that say the same, and now I understand what they meant. There were so many scenes that were pointless and should have been cut by an editor. -Scenes in which nothing really happened; it was like looking in on every detail of someone's life, the boring and the occasional exciting part.

As for the Chloe & Will relationship, oh goodness, where do I start? So they hook up sexually, then the find out he's the teacher, she's the student. As a result, abrupt break-up. Throughout this time, Chloe "dates" Ollie, and a specific scene in which she's talking to Will about her "boyfriend" confused the hell out of me. She supposedly still has strong feelings for Will, and is only "dating" Ollie to pass the time/make a sad attempt to move on/make Will jealous. Then the author decides to change the way Chloe and Will feel, by setting up a scene in Will's car, where Chloe talks to Will about her "boyfriend" Ollie, as if she's talking to one of her girlfriends. -No awkwardness on Will's part at all; it was as if she and Will had NO history together. Then the next chapter, we're back to Will showing "subtle" signs of being jealous. Ugh Make up your mind already, on what your characters personality and agenda is!!

Lastly, I cringed every time I heard Will call Chloe, "Cutie". Ahhhh!!! Who the hell calls his girlfriend, "Cutie"?? I don't even call my KIDS that nickname. It had a little creepy-factor, with him being 4-5 years older than her, and her teacher. -Like he was calling her "cutie" because she was young and cute. ::cringe:: I literally started to replace "cutie" for "chloe" each time I read cutie, which was a LOT.

Overall, the author had a great idea for the story, but the execution didn't match that. It's too rough around the edges and in need of a few changes (take out the "cutie" crap), and a lot of editing by an american editor.

4 STARS READ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

It was fun reading this book. I love that forbidden teacher/student relationship. I also loved that this book is not like most teacher/student relationship that we read about and see in TV shows. In When Summer Ends the two main characters actually got to know each other and dated for almost two months before they discovered that he was her teacher. When Will(the BF/teacher) found out he immediately wanted to report it to the headmaster and take the blame since he was the adult (he was 22 years old) and she was a minor. Knowing that he would be sent to jail but he didn't care at all, which is why i loved him even more.

When Chloe Henderson goes to a club with her friend she meets this cute bartender. Of course she has to be 21 to be in in the first place which is why he assumed that she was older. Anyway she helps him in the rush hour, then after work he took her eating pizza then he took her the day after to his sister's wedding as a first date! (Really) O.o

From that point they keep on dating and they really have the most perfect relationship ever! they fight, they teas each other, they disagree and they call each other on their flaws. Their imperfections made them perfect.

When Summer Ends have lots of funny situations. But it also was unbelievable sweet .

"He was so sweet at times that I’m
surprised I had any teeth left."

And Mr.Morris the hottie loved her with such passion. He was a player but when something is right you kind of change and grow in to the person that you want your loved one be with. He wanted to be perfect for her, he wanted to be a better man for her.
“I really am crazy about you. Every second I spend with you is better than the one before, but I honestly don't know how that works, because how the hell can you improve on perfection? But you do all the time. You just amaze me.”

"You can't help who you fall in love with.”

"When something is right you just feel it - and I definitely felt it, my whole body felt it. He was the one for me. The one that would drive me crazy and make me laugh even when I was sad. He was the one I wanted to hold me when I cried, the one I wanted to call when I had happy news. He was just the one.”

“It kind of felt like it was my first time. It had been a life altering experience, and I knew that if for whatever reason this didn't work out with him, he would always be the one I compared everyone else to. He would always be the one that totally rocked my world.”

The Characters

I really loved the characters. You have the typical mean girls, the adorable ex. The current admirer. The funny slut guy. The bestfriends. The strict scary dad.

Chloe Henderson One of them main characters. Loved her so much. She's out spoken, fun. I just really liked that she wasn't perfect. Like i said before their imperfections made them perfect.

Will Morris LOVED him so much. He's that guy who is cute/adorable/sweet/sexy. I loved him.

Sam Morris ^ Will's younger brother. I want a book about him ASAP. The perfect man slut, and everything he does is HILARIOUS.

Amy The bff. She's cute i really liked her.

Jack The sweet super nice Ex/bestfriend. I reallllly loved this guy he's super awesome, and great guy. At the end he really got his happily ever after :')

My dislikes
This book was a great read but there were some dislikes.
It was longer than my like but i never felt bored at all! which surprised me because i hate unnecessarily scenes. But lots of other readers hated this book only coz it's long.
Other dislike is that annoying this when any character laugh the writer say "He burst laughing" "I burst laughing" "She burst giggling"!
People don't just "burst laughing" AT EVERYTHING! so that was super annoying.

The ending
*sigh* The Epilogue was just perfect. I got more than i asked for EVERYONE got their happily ever afer. I felt a little sad about Sam but he kind of had that ending were YOU as a reader get to decide his future , For example if he get to have a relationship with that girl or not. Anyway i enjoyed this book. Again i really need a book about Sam :$

Do i recommend When Summer Ends to you?
The answer is yes if you have the time and the patient to read long book about that "forbidden pleasure" between a student and a teacher then yes go for it.

Thank you for reading my review and have a wonderful weekend ♥

Going through this YA/NA phase at the moment so I've come across a lot of shit books but this one is up there with the worst of them.

I couldn't even finish it. I mean how can you date a guy for 2-3 weeks, spend every day with him but never broach the subject of school and work. So she says "I go to school" and he assumes she means college. Ok, believable. But are you telling me he never bothered to ask her what she was studying at college? And he lands a brand new job as a teacher but it doesn't dawn on him to mention to his girlfriend "hey guess what? I'm starting a new job tomorrow at the local high school!" I mean come on.

The book was so overbearingly cheesy. How many times can you use the line "oh my days" in one book? At least a dozen according to Isabelle Rae. What 17 year old talks like that??

But the thing that absolutely killed it for me and made me decide that I didn't want to waste another minute of my life reading this book was his stupid nickname for her. Cutie. Please just wait here while I vomit in my mouth.

I just love a good student/teacher book! I’ve seen it done tastefully and not so much. There are so many factors that can “make” or “break” a book written about a taboo topic. It’s all up to the reader on how they perceive the story. Before I started this book I read some reviews- positive and negative. I knew I would either love it or hate it…

I am happy to say that I loved this book!!

Chloe is a strong and multi dimensional character. Smart, funny, quirky, beautiful and feisty. I really connected with Chloe and could feel just how hard everything was for her and the reason behind her decisions. Heartbreak is never easy! No one thinks clearly when suffering from a broken heart. Rationality can definitely go out the window. Considering that this is a 17 year old girl whose had her heart crushed, she dealt with everything very well. In fact, she handled it all much better than Will. I loved Chloe!

When I was composed again, I walked out of the bathroom, keeping my eyes firmly on the floor, not wanting people to see me and know I had been crying. I couldn’t tell anyone. I couldn’t talk about it at all. I had no one to rant to and help me mend my breaking heart because I couldn’t get Will in trouble.

Will definitely made the “book boyfriend” list. Although I wasn’t crazy over his nickname for her and he used it way too much…I still loved Will! I loved how he treated Chloe when they were together. He worshiped the ground she walked on. He doted on her and made her feel loved and special every day. He didn’t play games and only ever wanted what was best for Chloe. He sacrificed his own heart when he thought it was what Chloe needed. Yet he never dove into bed with woman after woman. I respected him for never trying to forget about Chloe by going out and being a man-whore. He wasn’t always perfect. He definitely had a hot head when it came to being jealous over other guy’s attention on Chloe (mainly Olly and Sam). I must say that part of me rooted for Chloe to “rub it in his face” while the other felt so bad for Will because who the hell wants to watch the person they love be with someone else?!

“I’m so sorry I hurt you, but I promise I was trying to do what was best for both of us. It almost killed me to say that we couldn’t be together…I thought you’d be able to move on and be happy. I hoped you would because you deserve to be happy. But then when you tried to move on, I couldn’t stop the jealousy I felt inside..”

I loved this couple and I rooted for them the whole way through!

The side characters were also great. I freaking LOVED Will’s younger brother, Sam! He was my favorite. He was funny and loved to poke at Will and drive him nuts. He called Chloe “Foxy” and they had a special relationship. He was also hilarious. I swear I laughed every single time that Sam was around. I half wanted Chloe to end up with him. I loved how he genuinely cared about Chloe and everything he did for Chloe and Will. Although he didn’t show it, he loved his brother and just wanted to see him happy. I would love to see Sam get his own book!! :)

“You must be Sam, right?” I asked, grinning. The guy smirked back at me, his eyes twinkling with mischievousness. “Yeah, and you must be the girl I’ll be waking up with tomorrow.”

Amy, Chloe’s best friend, was my second favorite! She was hilarious. She stood by Chloe’s side through the hurt and tried to pick her up off the floor. She was your typical best friend that tells you that “guys suck and to get back on the horse”. She was a riot and I loved her!

“It should be a date anyway, because damn, I would screw that boy senseless, and you should too. It’ll help you get over Mr Perfect if you jump his brother. It’ll stop you pouting so much,” she teased.

I loved Nick, Chloe’s ex-boyfriend. He was sweet and a true friend! I don’t know if guys like Nick exist but I hope so.

I was extremely and pleasantly surprised by this book! If I had set expectations before reading it, this book would have exceeded them. I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of student/teacher romances. I loved this book as much as the Slammed series, if not more! *gasp* I know, big words. Go check it out and see what you think ;)

"He's sick, this whole situation is sick and illegal."

EXACTLY!

Whew! Finally, I am so done with this novel.

I am torn between hating it and loving it - but I guess, it's more of the former. Almost 2/3 of the novel had me:

some_text

I didn't like Chloe. I absolutely hated her as the story progresses. I guess she tried to shift her feelings and see other people - but she still failed and opted to follow her feelings even though its not right. I'm not saying that love should be logical all the time - but geez, the man is willing to wait for her! She knew the consequences of her actions - they were near detrimental, and still she followed her... hormones? Feelings? I'm not really sure anymore. It's exasperating.

And Will - OMG! I could have fall in love with you - and yet... tsk. tsk. tsk. He was the one with discernment, I think he should know better than to give in to his emotions. On the other hand, in fairness to him, he tried his best in ending the relationship, when he couldn't take it anymore, he was willing to wait for her. But then love...

Where did their minds go?

What I couldn't understand: seriously - they don't know each other's age? They have been going out for quite a while.

Nonetheless - the support cast just wowed me. They are probably the best thing about this novel. If I hated the main characters that bad, I fell in love with the rest of the characters.

I clearly love Nick - the ex boyfriend who became a very dear friend. He loves her, maybe not in the romantic way anymore. But he really cares and you can see that he's always there for her. If I have a guy best friend, I wanted him to be like Nick.

Sam - is the life of this story. He brings all the fun, at the same time trouble - yet he saves them all from it. I like his character because he's just not a clown, but he has a good head on his shoulders as well. I wish Will had the same head.

As the old adage tells: there is a right time for everything - and it doesn't exclude love.

I might say that this is the first book that I patiently read because i normally read books that has only hundred pages but this has a thousand pages(in iPhone) and has 41 chapters plus the epilogue. It keeps every chapter more and more interesting and makes the readers eager to know the next happenings.

But there are things that I didn't much like about the story because it became a teacher-student relationship which we know is very wrong and illegal. And there are happenings between Chloe and Will which should not be detailed too much i mean how they make love.

Anyways the story goes like this, Chloe Henderson fell in love with Will Morris the bartender and later on became her teacher. Chloe pushed her limitations and boundaries just to be with Mr. Perfect as she says. Their relationship went through a lot of trials that even try to tear them apart but instead they became even stronger. I really admire Will Morris because how he waited patiently to be with his girl. He knows his limitations as a teacher and as an adult. He's very sweet, thoughtful, and he's like everybody's dream girl. He always makes Chloe's day very meaningful and makes their dates worth remembering. Chloe on the other hand is a fighter she knows how to handle things and her love for Will never changed even it already hurts. She has supportive best friends Amy and Nick who always has her back and always make her feel good. The most adorable character I love is Sam Morris the brother of Will is an evil genius and flirty. I think I would take the risk to fall in love with him. His character made the story more interesting and very funny. I think if I'm going to meet the Morris brothers i wouldn't mind to flirt and fall in love with them because they are worth it. Lol.

To top it all I loved the story because it does not only emphasize the love between the protagonists but it also revolves on the trials the characters went through. The story tells us that there's a time for everything and it does not exclude Love, we should just be patient and I'm sure if that right time comes along it'll sure be worth it.

When you suddenly discover that the guy you're falling in love with, is actually your teacher, what would you do?

I give this book 4.5 stars.

I really liked the story. Who isn't attracted to forbidden love? With a hot hot hot intelligent twenty year old none the less!

LOVE WILL! Who doesn't? He's the most romantic guy ever!

Chloe was sometimes a hand full. I mean, yeah, we got the guy is sweet, you don't have to say it ALL THE TIME, daydreaming all day with him. Can be a little suffocating. I mean, she was talking to other people and suddenly thinking about him and had to be brought back to reality. Come on, woman! Don't be such an obsessed person.

LOVED THE SEXUAL TENSION WHEN THEY WERE NOT TOGETHER. When they were strictly student-teacher, secretly wanting each other... that was SO HOT!
And all the paintball scene! Swooning!

All the supporting characters were amazing: Amy, Nate, and Sam! Love those three! Really want people like them in my life, so loyal, so charismatic, one of a kind. Loved his family also, especially his mother.

I always appreciate the epilogues. Is easier to really imagine the story and that it could be real, so I LOVED KNOWING MORE ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM. COULDN'T IMAGINE WHAT HAPPENED TO SAM!

All and all, was a great book, easy reading, but kind of long sometimes and with suffocating thoughts from her at times.

Chloe Henderson

Will Morris

Yep!

And that's how they met.

But when she finds out who he really is

"Name?"
-"Chloe Henderson. And um, I don't have a question."
"Okay, well I have one for you, Miss Henderson. Do you like to lie?"

U-oh! Detention!

Meaning

I really loved this! Like really, really.

It reminded me of Gabriel's Inferno (which is one of my favorites). Sooo, 4 stars from me!

Ugh, this book!

I found this horrible excuse for a book hiding around my residence while cleaning out my junk to introduce newer junk to my already cramped up space. Why is this book still residing in my house? I thought I had given it up years ago!

If I had to pick a most hated book of all time I would pick this one. I do not usually hate on books, but this one is a special little gem of pure shit! You can't forget really good books, turns out you cannot forget really bad ones either. Makes you wonder if the truly bad books are the ones you can't remember anything about.

Not that I remember what this was about. I only remember all the feelings it made me feel. Rage, disappointment, pure hatred, shall I go on? See what my love for teacher/student romance puts me through???
My only notes on this book: "Finally finished the stupid book."

Guess that sums it up. I don't know what to do with this book. I don't want to donate it to library, God forbid I am responsible for poisoning people's brains with this dumb-ass ink on paper!
Derisions... decisions...

“I don’t like you, Cutie. I’m crazy in love with you.”

•• ¿De qué va la historia? ••

Desde esa noche, Will y Chole comienzan a salir.

• SAM Y WILL MORRIS. Will por ser Will. Ambos eran simplemente perfectos con Chloe.
• Amy y Nick. Los mejores amigos ever.
• Escenas: Cuando van a jugar paintball.

This was such a good read.
17-year-old girl sneaks into a club, meets a hot guy. They spend the summer together...then she returns for her final year of high school and discovers she has a new maths teacher. Oops.
This story had everything I love in a book -The illicit thrill of the affair, but not in a creepy, tawdry way, amazing chemistry and sweet, belly tingling romantic scenes. There's some angst and drama, but it's balanced nicely with humorous banter and some memorable characters.
Yes so you have to suspend disbelief a little at times - like how in six weeks of dating hasn't their careers been discussed and a couple of other similar things - and characters in this 'burst out laughing' a little too frequently, but the story was so engaging and gripping, I can't care about that too much.
It was a good length story too, with a well thought through plot and character development.
The sex scenes were not explicit at all which was a bit of a disappointment, I cannot lie, but the chemistry between them supplied plenty of steam and that helped me to get over my disappointment.
If you like an illicit love story, you'll love this. Recommended.

I loved this book. But I spent at least 38 out of 41 chapters extremely stressed out about Chloe and Will's taboo relationship. The stress of whether or not they would get caught was killing me. I certainly was rooting for them. Chloe and Will made the perfect couple. They just really complimented each other. Will is a total romantic. All men should take note from him. ;) In the end, Will and Chloe got their happily ever after. And I couldn't be happier about how their story ended.

Spoilers (Chiquitos)

LLLLLLindo.

Will smirked at me which made me giggle or something as my mouth watered. Then I made a date with another boy and held his hand which made Will frown for some reason. I don’t understand why, there is literally no way to figure out why he seems upset with me dating someone else. Boys are such a mystery or something. I thought about what a mystery they are and giggled again. Then Will told me he loved me and flicked my nose and we started dating even though he’s my teacher and I’m a minor or something. He even asked his parents if they’re cool with him potentially going to jail or something and they were like totes malotes! And we all giggled happily ever after.

RATINGS: FREAKNG 1 STAR FOR WRITING SOMETHING

I couldn't relate to this book and I would never try to understand it. The writing was sloppy and the story was predictable and boring. Above everything. I couldn't get their insta- love. Seriously, was Chloe so stupid enough to go to an unknown bartender's house after merely talking like for AN HOUR OR SO? I felt the characters were too stupid. The story was cheesy and creepy. It was unrealistic.
Sorry, but there were many plot holes in this story that I hated so much that I haven't even bothered to write a good review for it.

Definitely a must read.
Really loved the writing style, the story.
People compare it to 'Slammed' by Colleen Hoover, but i must say, althought the situation is the same, this story is so good on it's own, i don't want to compare.
I loved Will, so romantic, pfff, if i could have a dream guy, it would be him .-)

Read it,you'll be engrossed.

I actually really enjoyed this! Ever since reading Slammed, I have enjoyed reading teacher-student affair novels (not that any book will ever top Slammed!). Although there were some disturbing similarities between When Summer Ends and Slammed, I still loved the story line in When Summer Ends. Apart from the similarities, it was an alright book. The writing definitely needed some work but, it was a pretty reasonable novel. When Summer Ends was actually a pretty big eBook. Glad I read this!

When Chloe and Will meet at a 21+ club, they hit it off immediately; they flirt, banter and talk effortlessly. Later that night, Will asks Chloe on a date and she happily accepts. Over the holidays, Chloe and Will spend plenty of time together; getting to know each other, flirting, talking and, yes, making out! When the first day of school rolls around, Chloe is upset; she won’t have as much time to spend with Will. But at school, the news of a hot new calculus teacher has the female student body buzzing. Chloe is unfazed because she already has a hot, attentive, loyal boyfriend; so imagine her (and his!) surprise when he is her teacher. From there onwards everything between the two of them is like a rollercoaster; up and down. When there finally is balance between their lives, what could possibly go wrong?

Even though I enjoyed this book, there were some bits that annoyed me. The similarities with Slammed, was definitely one of the top issues. The main male character was called Will, as was the main male character in Slammed. The story line was very similar, too. It was a different story, but there were still some obvious similarities. The grammar, punctuation and editing was the other issue I had; it was terrible. I understand if the author doesn’t have an editor because she published the book on Wattpad, but seriously, come on, I could fix the mistakes! My best friend, Georgie, could do it in her sleep! It was, in a word, shocking. Because of that I found myself not liking the book as much because I had to constantly stop and re-read the sentence, mentally correct it and try to understand it.

I thought Chloe was an ok character. She was a bit immature, whiny and blushed too much, but meh she wasn’t the worst YA character. There wasn’t anything I really hated about her, but there wasn’t much to make me like her either. She was a little bit weak at times, though she occasionally proved tough. It was confusing. Chloe was a meh character.

Will was also a meh character. I liked him mostly at first, but when the student-teacher relationship was revealed, what he did to Chloe pissed me off. He wasn’t the only one to blame! And he was rude and selfish, too. I liked him more and more after the paintball thing. But yeah, Will, too, unfortunately, was a meh character.

The book wasn’t even bad. The storyline, although not original, was interesting. The characters weren’t that bad either, they just weren’t that interesting. Overall, the book was enjoyable and I really had no problems with it (other than grammar, oh my god).

2.5 Stars

I love teacher/student books. I don't know why I love the whole forbidden love thing, but I do. With that said, I've read quite a few of them, one being Slammed by Colleen Hoover. Now, I HATE comparing books, and I never have before but there were too many similarities to Slammed in When Summer Ends. I am not saying that the situations were the same, I am saying certain details were the same. Same "have to stay away from each other and basically ignoring each other", same possessiveness in the halls, same fighting a guy, same dating a guy to get the teacher jealous, oh and I can't forget SAME CHARACTER NAMED WILL! I found that this book was published in Sept. of 2012 and Slammed was published in Jan. of 2012. So, not saying anything, but for me the similarities were too close.

Now, I will say when Sam and Chloe came up with the scheme things turned around. I loved the genius idea. Hell, I just loved Sam.

There was SO MUCH filler in this book. It could have been shortened a ton. I found myself skimming parts because they just weren't important, in my opinion.

I loved all of Will's date ideas. So sweet. I loved Will at times, then there were times when I thought he was immature. Play martyr much, Will? If you are in a forbidden affair you need to be smart not kissing in the classroom or constantly asking her to stay after class. Oh and speaking of Will, his parents didn't care that she was 17 and in HS? Seriously? They didn't say ANYTHING to Will? I find that hard to believe.

Did I mention I love Sam? LOVED HIM! He's the reason this is getting the 2.5 stars. Loved the scene after the swim meet..."you can thank me later".

This book was written in a way I can only describe as 'Fifty Shades of Grey-esque' with less sex.

I imagine a book that fans of the Fifty Shades series would enjoy, myself not being one of them. The whole point of this story for me is not believable in the slightest and in fact wrong. None of the story adds up or is in the least bit believable.

This will probably be a spoiler. The way Chloe and Will's relationship progresses is confusing and unrealistic. In reality, they both have been dating for a rather long time and it is strange that they do not know each others ages. Also, I understand that Chloe, being younger, had no problem carrying on her relationship with Will when she knew he was a teacher. But, Will in real life would not have proceeded with the relationship, especially since they had been dating for 8 weeks. Long enough to know how old each other are, yet not long enough to fall deeply in love with one another, unable to detach themselves from the love that they share.

The end, also was extremely predictable, obviously written by a younger writer who has the idea that Chloe is herself and the whole outcome of this situation turns out well. (unlikely in reality)

Therefore, I definitely would not recommend you read this book. I wasted a good day reading it.
