Wow, ich bin total begeistert. Die Story war richtig spannend und ich mochte die Charaktere so sehr, dass ich richtig mitfieberte und mitfühlte. Das passiert mir eher sehr selten bei Mangas.
Es geht hier um veränderte Menschen, die plötzlich Superkräfte haben, die sie teils aus Versehen und teils bewusst, zum schlechten einsetzten. Einige davon wurden gefangen genommen und sollen nun auf eine geheime Gefängnisinsel (Area D) gebracht werden. Was genau auf dieser Insel los ist, weiß niemand so recht. Auch der Leser nicht, zumindest noch nicht nach diesem ersten Band.
Einen ersten Blick konnte man bereits darauf werfen, aber das lässt immer noch etliche Fragezeichen zurück. Allerdings ist das auch alles richtig spannend und ich kann es kaum abwarten mir weitere Teile zu kaufen.
Die Charaktere finde ich einfach klasse. Sie sind sehr individuell und zwei Charaktere sind mir auch so richtig sympathisch, dass ich schon ein wenig an ihnen hänge. Ich hoffe sie sterben nicht, denn ich denke mal in diesem Manga werden viele Charaktere sterben. Es geht ziemlich brutal und aggressiv zu und es bilden sich Grüppchen um das Überleben zu sichern. Solche sozialen Entwicklungen finde ich sehr spannend und bin gespannt wie das weitergeht.
Teilweise war es sogar richtig süß, weil auch ein Kind mitspielt.
Der Zeichenstil ist der absolute Hammer. Ich liebe diese kräftige Linienführung und das dynamische Design und die viele Abwechslung. Und dann diese Gesichter. Sie sind so ausdrucksstark.

Baca buku ini karena covernya "menonjol" (man boobs wowww) dan karena Kyouichi Nanatsuki.
Turns out it was dissapointing!
Idenya bukanlah hal baru. Orang-orang yang tiba-tiba mendapatkan superpower setelah terjadi penomena alam, I was read that kind of story like in at least two books!
Karakternya: tipikal dan konyol! Si man boobs turns out to be the most powerful man in the book who got a soft spot for everything "human", terus ada pemuda culun yang gampang blushing, terus ada cewe yang hobi telanjang, terus ada cowo yg nyante, dan anak kecil.

Idenya tidak terlalu baru. Sudah sering baik manga hingga novel dan movie kita temukan awal cerita dengan premis serial ini.
Ini tentang orang-orang yang berubah dan tiba-tiba memiliki kekuatan super, yang kadang-kadang secara tidak sengaja atau secara sadar menggunakannya menjadi lebih buruk. Beberapa dari mereka telah ditangkap dan sekarang akan dibawa ke pulau penjara rahasia (Area D). Tidak ada yang benar-benar tahu apa yang sebenarnya terjadi di pulau ini.
Bahkan pembaca, setidaknya tidak setelah volume pertama ini.

Un début intriguant, j'aime bien les personnages et le dessin est soigné et agréable à regarder, bref un premier tome prometteur.

I have heard, listened, watched lots of movies,books about people having special powers.
Humans still have a belief that our 80 % junk DNA which is our non coded DNA has something to do with these powers!
I'll be blunt, if u take x- men and mix it with the Japanese u might think this manga will be the ul-
Timate result of the concoction, if u believe that u'll be dead wrong! This manga has loads of drama!
The basic outline of the story is that a huge cosmic outburst or u can say an galactic explosion occurs! Which is called as the lotus incident! Occurs out of the blue, and with that everything and everybody's lives changed forever.
My theory is that because of the cosmic rays or radiations our non coded dna which was recessive suddenly become dominant and people turned out to have special powers , and those people were called as the altered!
Now there were some amount of people that either couldn't control their amazing powers! Or they abused their powers for doing blasphemous things!
Either way they were bad for the normal people so the government presumed that they did not belong among the normal people so they rounded up all the altered by brutal force and sent them to a dead city which was actually a jail!
Called areaD!
Where we meet our main lead Jin kazaragi! Who is a s class(most dangerous) altered!
As u read ahead! U will notice nothing is what it seems! Nobody can trust anybody where Darwin's theory is intact!
Which is survival of the fittest!
An amazing debut of mangaka kyoichi nanatsuki! Looking forward to other volumes and curious about wht happens next!

Area D, sebutan untuk sebuah pulau terasing, yang tidak ada seorang pun yang tahu letak keberadaannya. Penjara bagi para "altered". Kota mati, kota yang telah lama ditinggalkan penduduk aslinya.
Para tahanan altered yang mempunyai kekuatan super dengan cara yang gila ini harus bertahan hidup, di pulau yang setiap menitnya selalu saja mengincar nyawa mereka.
Setting dunia dalam Area D ini sungguh mengerikan. Aura dystopianya nampar. Art-nya juga keren. Duh Jin >< (RAMBUTNYA NGGA NAHAN HEOL😂)
Banyak muncul manusia super karena antares, bintang terang dalam rasi bintang skorpio, mengalami ledakan supernova.
Sayangnya tidak semua manusia super ini memanfaatkan kekuatan mereka dengan baik. Banyak kriminalitas yang terjadi. Kejahatan sadis. Nah para manusia super yang dijuliki altered ini akhirnya diasingkan. Begitu upaya pemerintah dalam menanggulangi fenomena yang bisa dibilang mengerikan ini.
Diasingkan ke sebuah pulau bernama Area D. Pulau yang benar-benar mengasingkan para altered ini dari dunia yang sebenarnya.
Tentunya, ngga semua altered jahat dong~ Banyak kisah memilukan yang dialami altered yang bisa dikategorikan 'masih bersifat manusia' ini.
Dan karakter Jin sukses bikin aku tertarik untuk membaca volume selanjutnya. Lagi dan lagi. Btw yang namanya Jin itu, yang mejeng di cover😂

I like battle manga like this, a world where an "event" changed the lives of many people bu turning a lot of people in certain pockets of society into superpowered beings. Similar to George R.R. Martin Wild Cards series, this one is pure Japanese manga with the awesome art of Defense Devil Vol. 01 artist Yang Kyung-Il.
The typical comedic scenes are there and the usual "powered" battle is everywhere. For these "altered" humans are taken prisoner to an island called Area D. I do not know if there's a main protagonist in this story but the young man who didn't want this power became friends with one of the most powerful "altered" humans, who can copy/mimic someone's ability.
I am looking forward to reading more. Also I might re-read Defense Devil.

Kurz lässt sich diese Geschichte über Mutanten, die von der Regierung aus Angst vor deren Fähigkeiten auf eine abgeschottene Gefängnisinsel deportiert werden, folgendermaßen zusammenfassen: "X-Men" trifft "Deadman Wonderland".
Mehr braucht man dann erstmal gar nicht zu sagen - der erste Band verspricht spannende Gefängnis-Fantasy-Action, in deren Mittelpunkt die für das Survival-Game-Genre typische Freundschaft zwischen Muskelpaket und Underdog steht. Vielleicht nichts besonderes, für Genre-Fans aber lesenswert.

Yang Kyung-Il realizza delle tavole pazzesche in tutte le sue opere e Area D non fa eccezione, questo rende l'intera serie un'opera da consigliare anche a chi sia interessato più ai disegni di un fumetto che alla sceneggiatura in sè.

انا اعاني من نفس المشكله مع الكاتب تتواجد احداث وسط الكتابه الشخص اصلاً مو مفكر فيها
و شخصيات .. و احداث و توهه
فجاء و فجاء تتختفي احداث اهم
مم بشكل عام حبيت هذي النقطه و بنسبه للمانجا فاعتقد انها جميله بس في النهايه نكمل بقيت المجلدات و نشوف

Very promising start! Area D plays in a world, where some mytserious event happened in which some humans became mutants. The story is about Jin Kazagari, who sets foot on a facility which holds these mutants in prison in order to find his brother.
It's very entertaining, nicely drawn and has a lot of potential. If you're into action, fun and mutants, you should try it.

I did not enjoy this at all. There was no likeable character in the book, especially the mc annoyed me. And what's up with all those undressed people? Can't they freeze anymore now that they mutated or what? Moreover I did not find any logic within the story.

Overall Rating: 4... 4.5?... 5??? /10 (this would actually be a 7 or 8 but the last volumes killed me). The plot of this manga was actually good, original, with an array of characters with tragic backstories. With so much fighting, and trying to uncover the mysteries of The Lotus Event (and those around it). This manga actually had potential. And then.. the publisher or staff flushed it down a toilet. The second arc had only the final 3 volumes.. out of 14 books all together!! The artwork changed- drastically. The plot changed and was rushed that honestly it didn't work with everything else in the past. This feels as if the publisher or staff had to abandon the project and just wanted to get it over with... So sad.. I remeber the first time I finished this story... I was furious...
