Poetry. Subpress collective is a group of nineteen individuals who publish nineteen books each year in an effort to promote the work of younger writers and writers whose work would otherwise be inaccessible to the public. Each member chooses one book to edit and promote, and Kevin Davies made a very wise choice with Jeff Hull's SPOOR. Full of poems brief in length, yet lasting in impact, SPOOR explores the subtleties of day to day existence as well as the impact of other writers. "Tossing the bookmark/ away, he said/ I'm ready, she said/ let's go" - from My Book of Plots and Providences.
