An affair and a shocking secret threaten to tear apart a rich and powerful family.
Claudia Samson, housekeeper to the privileged Callahan family, finds herself alone and pregnant after a brief fling with Gavin, the youngest Callahan son. When she informed him of the pregnancy he accused her of running a scam and made it clear that she was on her own.
Brody Callahan, Gavin's older half-brother, has devoted his entire life to running the family business. He doesn't realize what he's been missing by throwing himself into his work until he finds Claudia asleep in the family guest bedroom. He has discovered his very own Sleeping Beauty. Intrigued by the young woman, he vows to get to know her better.
Although Claudia is instantly attracted to the charismatic businessman, she knows her secret will destroy any chance they have for a future together, but Brody's awfully hard to resist.
Meanwhile, as Gavin watches Brody and Claudia's relationship develop, he begins to devise a plan to use the secret to his advantage. He wants full partnership in the business—something he was denied by both his brother and their deceased father—and maybe now he can finally obtain it.
Can Brody and Claudia survive the storm, or will the secrets and blackmail destroy both them and their love?

USA Today Bestselling Author Ella Jade has been writing for as long as she can remember. As a child, she often had a notebook and pen with her, and now as an adult, the laptop is never far. The plots and dialogue have always played out in her head, but she never knew what to do with them. That all changed when she discovered the eBook industry. She started penning novels at a rapid pace and now she can’t be stopped.
Ella resides in New Jersey with her husband, two boys and two feisty Chihuahuas named Roxie and Macy. She can often be found creating sexy, domineering men and the strong women who know how to challenge them in and out of the bedroom. She hopes you’ll get lost in her words.
Dear Eyelids, I am so sorry that you are having a difficult time staying open today. To be completely honest with you, it is not my fault. I blame Ella Jade. I could not put Something More down no matter how much my head was telling me I needed to go to sleep. -Me
Seriously, I could not put this book down and am running on fumes. I do not know what it is about her writing that sucks me in so completely. Magic maybe. I am not even a huge contemporary romance fan, but this is the second book I have read by her and I am completely addicted to her books now. I plan to get each and every one of them.
I think what makes this book special is a combination of things. The first is that you have completely warped situation. Seriously, you fall in love with a woman who you in turn find out is carrying your brother's child. Warped, yet riveting. Then you have the dynamics of the brother's relationship, which was strained and almost more paternal than brotherly. You add to that a young and in someways very innocent young woman. She is a combination of intelligent, fiesty, and who tends to make some really bad decisions. I know I did not do it justice. The only thing I wish is that their was an epilogue. Not because it needed one, but because I just really wanted a glimpse of the future 5 years later.
Do I love the characters? Not really. In some ways I do not even like them that much, but I am invested in them and have this need to know more. It was this drive that kept me up until 3am when I should have been sleeping. If you love contemporary romance, unusual pairings, and a bit of heat this book is probably for you. Please do not get this book if you are under 18. It really is for grown ups ;).
The reason I gave this book 5 stars is how wonderfully written this story is. Yes, it does drag a little bit. But it is what is needed in this book if that makes sense. After everything that the Callahan family has put Claudia though and now she is pregnant with Gavin's child she really wants nothing to do with them. Gavin wants nothing to do with the child but she needs her job and the benefits that come with it, so she can give her child some kind of life. What she doesn't expect was for Brody to walk into her life and start making it worth something more. But will the bun in the oven make him regret spending time with her? I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
This is a really sweet, well written story. Claudia and Brody are a great couple. Brody is the sweetest guy and his brother Gavin is a complete douche. Claudia and Brody are not an obvious match and they have issues to work out but they really do work together. There are lots of complex issues in this book, lots of complicated family issues. Love is what makes life worth living and that is what Brody and Claudia were missing, and what they find when the find each other. They get their happy ever after.
Random KU suggested book. This trope always intrigues me for some reason. 🤷🏻♀️🙂
Quick, enjoyable, easy read. It’s short, so things are kind of simplistic but still enough development. The main antagonist does a 180 for a wrap-up that’s a little too “convenient” and abrupt. But I enjoyed it and will read the next one.
A really sweet love story with a twist. Reminded me a bit of the movie 'Sabrina' but with a baby. Gavin is a huge douche but Brody more than makes up for his horrible treatment of Claudia. Can't wait to see what Ella Jade has in store for Gavin in the sequel.
I received an Advanced Reviewers Copy from the author for voluntary review consideration.
Just something sweet to keep me going and it really was a sweet treat! I caught myself going back to it constantly and I loved it! Gonna actually give Gavin’s story a go too!
This book was extremely sweet and romantic. The relationship between Claudia and Brody was basically love at "first" sight. I say "first" because they actually knew each other since Claudia was a child but never paid attention to each other. Knowing this made the amazing speed of their true love more realistic.
The good? Very sweet story. Brody and Claudia were pleasant and likable. As were some of the background characters. The villains of the piece were appropriately creepy and unpleasant. Claudia was painfully young and clueless in this story and while I sometimes wanted to shake her, I remember being that incredibly young and clueless, too. I did want to find out what happened to them. And they were very sweet together. Brody was a saint. I've never met a guy that mellow. He was smart, devoted, forgiving, and good at business. He came across as much older than Claudia though they weren't really that far apart.
The not-so-good for me? That's behind the spoiler cut.
Despite my issues with the parts I mentioned I do recommend this for people looking for a very sweet mild read with some graphic sex tossed in. I'm sure there are a lot of people for whom the bits that bothered me won't bother them at all.
Note that I did win a copy of this book in a blog hop.
LOOOOVE IT!!!

Something more was absolutely amazing to read I loved the fact you could see it from both sides. I was so sucked in by the book as the story line was epic. Before I read Something More I'd never heard of Ella Jade and if this book is anything to go by I'll definitely be reading more of her books. in the future.
What an amazing story between Brody & Claudia, a story I wouldn’t change one word, one paragraph, one page. Claudia picks the wrong brother in the beginning and ends up pregnant. When Brody finds her asleep in a guest room he can’t turn away, he’s drawn to her and vows to be there for her. As she gets to know the older brother she has some hard choices to make, walk away before it becomes too much or tell him the whole truth about Gavin and her baby. What a read and a beautiful heartfelt romance, the perfect book boyfriend, Brody. Claudia is one independent woman and I loved her strength as well as her honesty. I LOVED the reaction Brody had when he learns the truth and everything that happened after, darn it, I loved everything he did before as well....sigh swoon sigh swoon is not enough. The honesty between them and how they work together, expressing their feelings and emotions puts this book apart from the rest, I even got a bit misty eyed at times with the emotions flowing. Along with the steamy sensual scenes, the amazing characters and their relationship, the story and plot, the beautiful romance, made it hard to put down and a read you don’t want to miss. Worth more than 5 stars !!
Claudia and Brody's romance was sweet. Brody being protective of Claudia after finding out she was expecting his brother Gavin's child. Gavin was deplorable to both Claudia and Brody. Gavin does not want the baby but tries to use the baby as leverage (or blackmail) over Brody to get what he wants. In the end it was a surprise to me that Gavin did a 180 degree turn and was now on board with giving Brody what he wanted. The story abruptly ends without explaining what really caused the change in Gavin. I wished it would have explained that more and how it affected Gavin's relationship with his girlfriend Mona. Also Gavin's mother Angela (Brody's stepmother) also made a 180 degree turn when she found out the truth. She was portrayed as a wicked employer to Claudia and then warms up to her. Again a little more explanation would have been good. All in All it is a decent read except towards the end where I just had a lot of questions. I voluntarily received an Advanced Readers Copy.
I loved Claudia so much! She is in such a difficult position. She falls in love (or what she believes to be love) with someone she's known for years. Unfortunately what she believed to be a fairy tale romance blows up in her face - epically. While accidentally napping when cleaning a room, Brody sees her and is taken with her immediately. Brody doesn't see or notice the "class" discrepancy despite her working as a maid in his stepmother's home and he being in charge of the entire estate. She can't seem to get past it, but Brody is persistent. There is a triangle between Claudia, Brody and Gavin, but I wouldn't call it a love triangle. (Brody and Gavin are stepbrothers). This was a riveting tale and had me turning the pages quickly. I highly recommend this book. I received an advanced reader copy of this book for a voluntary and completely honest review.
Claudia works for the Callahan’s and was having a causal relationship with Gavin, which when she told him she was pregnant he decided was over and that she was only there to try to get the money. Brody has been running the family business making it into the best it could be. He thought that was enough until he finds an exhausted Claudia asleep and decides he wants to know more about her. Brody also starts to realise that he never has time to do anything and missing out on his life, but with Claudia he knows he wants to have more. Brody is everything that Claudia could ever want the brothers are extreme opposites, she knows she has to tell him her secret, but she doesn’t realise Brody knows. How will Brody react when he finds out it’s his brother’s baby.
This book had me going in more ways than one. It's kinda Cinderella story without the evil stepmother and sisters. Well there is an evil one, but she kinda come around. Anyway Claudia is my Cinderella and Brody Callahan is prince charming in all kinds of ways. They are drawn to each other, but Claudia has a secret that could destroy them before they get started. It involves Brody's younger brother Gavin, of which I am no fan. This book also gives a glimpse as to how people treat each other based on their status in life. Whether you are the CEO of a company or part of the cleaning crew everyone should be treated with respect, especially when they are respectful of you. I really enjoyed this book and look forward to the second one.
A modern day Cinderella with a twist. Passionate, endearing, sexy, and a no nonsense hero. Her mistake will be his greatest gift. Claudia and Brody found each other and their struggles only made their love for each other stronger.
Claudia is a great strong independent but struggles to believe that she deserves Brody and what he can offer her. Brody knows what he wants and nothing is going to stop him.
I want to throttle Gavin, he is so selfish and such a spoiled brat but I also could feel his pain can't wait for his story.
I received an ARC in exchange for a fair and honest review.
I saw this book advertised on Facebook and was intrigued by the plot and the excerpt shared.
Don't get me wrong, I was invested in these characters to see how things fared for all of them, but there was something about the author's storytelling that kept me from really enjoying the book.
I felt like there were so many plot lines that were glossed over or rushed. The absurdity of some of the tension between the brothers was offputting. And then the end is tied up in a little bow, like, poof! Magic! I don't know. I don't buy it.
Again, I was invested in the story enough to finish, but I wasn't overly impressed with the end result.
I saw this book pop up on my Facebook feed and was intrigued. There were so many emotions while reading it. Claudia is a brave young woman facing raising a baby on her own because she trusted Gavin too much. Brody is a workaholic, who found his sleeping beauty by chance after not seeing her for years. Gavin as awful in the beginning, but finds his true place in the end. Angela was truly an evil queen in the beginning, but I believe she would have done the right thing by Claudia if truly asked. I can't wait to read about Gavin next.
Interesting story, easy read. I didn't feel much chemistry between Brody and Claudia. They're smitten with each other instantly and it wasn't believable for me. Claudia definitely should have told Brody she was carrying his brothers baby before getting flirty with him - what if it was a deal breaker? I loved Brody's protectiveness with Claudia and the baby. Gavin is an ass and his issues was resolved all too quickly on all ends. Same with their mother. She did not like Claudia at all but then all of a sudden she likes her and says they're very similar. Get out of here! Decent read.
I've this store. There was drama, flare, and excitement. I couldn't put the store down. The brothers provide much need drama, debate, hot headed heated moments. Then all it takes is 1 woman to send them heads turning there lives upside down one with second chance at love, and other in denial and being cruel till life hits him up side the head.
This was a really good read. Would like to see another book about the Callahan family set a little further in the future just to tie up some loose ends. Loved the romance between Claudia & Brody and loved to hate Gavin & The Evil Queen.
I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
Wow! This was such a great story! It took me on an emotional rollercoaster, one I didn't want to get off of. Claudia and Brody were perfect for each other. I couldn't stop reading until I was at the end. It was very well written and a definite recommend from me. *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
Claudia may have started out with the wrong Callahan brother, but Brody doesn't care that she's the hired help. He wants Claudia, the whole package deal. Claudia is trying to do the right thing, but she can't fight her feelings for Brody. This twisted romance was amazingly sweet and antagonistic in turns. But through it all, they stood by what they wanted. I loved it!
I freaking devoured this book. I was hooked from the beginning. I love the story and Brody & Claudia. I hated Gavin. Something More is a swoon worthy story and filled with raw emotions. I could feel the connection between Brody and Claudia. I didn't want their story to end. I need more of them. I can't wait to see if Gavin can redeem himself. You'll want to read Something More.
Claudia is the granddaughter of the Callahan housekeeper. After she is forced to retire Claudia takes the job to keep herself afloat. Until she is noticed by their youngest son. Gavin is the ultimate player. And not the right son for Claudia. She doesn't find that put until it's too late.
I loved the story idea of Brody and Claudia’s story. It was a cute story with lots of fun moments, but I wasn’t drawn in and immersed as I usually am with this type of books. It felt incomplete. I wish there had been more in character building. I don’t feel like I know much about the how’s and why’s of why they are who they are.
This showed up on my Facebook page and grabbed my attention. A well written story. Brody and Claudia's story kept me turning the pages. I can't bring myself to read Book 2 straight away, as I'm still to angry at Gavin, but I'm sure I will soon. It shows how invested I've found myself in the story.
I didn't mind this book, but ultimately it stayed in this path that didn't have enough of a climax and dragged on with repetitive situations and conversations and then everything was miraculously solved in a ridiculously short percentage of the book. Everything was just okay and I don't particularly see myself continuing the series.
A glorious situation where the main characters got to keep their integrity the whole time and the bad guy was almost entirely the situation causing tension and conflict. Even the suspected bad guys had redeeming arcs. Lovely happily ever after. I usually prefer a story with more depth, grit, and angst. This was just lovely and sweet.
