The Defiler's Throne is the third "episode" of the Hell Bent/Heaven Sent saga by Isobel Lucas/Megg Jensen. I am an unabashed, diehard fan girl of Megg/Isobel and this series has only cemented that for me. In my opinion, this series is the best yet from her. Things heat up between Raven and Ian in this book, Ian being an adorably sexy bad good boy! And, yes, this makes sense if you read the series! And Raven is trying hard to be the good bad girl, which is not easy for her on so many levels. This one had a lot of emotion in it, too, between Raven and each of her parents, which added a good bit of drama to the story. This book definitely kept me on edge, always guessing and never knowing if anyone is as they seem!

They may be rather short reads, but they are by no means incomplete. But Isobel does leave you with just enough of a cliffhanger to anxiously await the next episode!

Gah...I kept expecting things to be elaborated on instead of just taking it on faith that they have this super great attraction...and it just got worse. I still don't get Ian and Raven. I mean seriously. And Raven really just went off on her Mom without trying to find out anymore of the story. *sigh* I know it's only novellas, but still... I did enjoy the weird Xavier side plot, but I guess I just was hoping for more, and am less convinced I will get my satisfaction from the last 2...and yet...
