Born in the swamps of Glamorgan, I have wandered the world, generally with a guitar in hand.
Here I am in a beautiful village in central Spain, where the sun shines, the lake is warm, the drink is cheap and the people and animals are friendly.
I share my place with two gorgeous local cats, more guitars than I can count and a fridge full of wine.
Oh, and I write stories. Many of them about Otis King, Memphis' Number One Welsh Blues detective. Others about Angels, murderers, failed Super-Villains and ingrowing toenails.
I'd be happy if some of my stories amused you for a while.

Peters has done it again...his talent in taking you along as if you're talking to a new pal you've just met in a bar, with great short stories...captivating, very very funny, and written in a highly individualistic style...I've downloaded all of his recent offerings, and found all of them equally highly entertaining..treat yourselves..

Like 'Solo' a book of highly amusing short stories, and some very observant ones at that. Indeed, I can see why I'm such a fan, it's obvious that I've found somebody who seems to be able to read my thoughts in some situations. I'm led to believe there's a novel on the way, the readers are reminded of this regularly and given what bits are left out of these tales, it should make interesting reading. Do keep them coming...please...

I picked up "Monophonic" by Andrew Peters through a special promotion on Amazon. Having read previous work by Peters because of their Welsh connection I was reassured to see that he has a much wider range of ideas and talent. "Monophonic" is a selection of short stories, many of which are laugh out loud hilarious, others more subtle. Peters uses all day mindlessness and idiocy as main target for his witty and often sarcastic subjects. With a great gift for observation of human behaviour, with refreshing honesty and lack of political correctness I found myself agreeing with some of the views portrayed and often nodding in recognition of myself and other people.
His stories cover a wide range, starting off very quirky with the story of a man who saves the day with the help of a lettuce and becomes - for better or for worse - the Ice Warrior and a minor celebrity. In Wendy & Douglas a couple contemplates the world of swinging; in Orphan a young boy has mysterious healing hands, an excursion to more serious matters that was timely placed and welcome in the narrative flow of the stories of the book.
As the collection proceeds the tales get darker, such as a musing on the idea of hell, a feature on help lines and one particularly long one on the revenge action of a dying man.
This selection is as thoughtful as it is witty, entertaining and certainly not monotone.
