This engaging, myth-busting series seeks new explanations for the ghost stories, outlaw tales, haunted places, and unsolved mysteries that shaped a state's identity.
This is a must read for Tennesseans or for anyone interested in stories about Mysteries, monsters, folklore, and paranormal. I couldn't put it down I was born and raised in East Tennessee there is alot of things I didn't know that happened here in my little state I recommend you pick up a copy I read it on my Amazon Kindle but I ordered the book on Amazon I wanted a copy for myself. It's a real page Turner
A variety of mysteries in TN. Some were fantastic (Belmont Mansion, etc) and others had me almost in tears from boredom (Melugeons, etc). There were parts where I believe the author was struggling and grasping at straws to make the topic sound believable as well as possibly having to meet a word minimum. It was very wordy at times and kept repeating information.
Interesting stories I’d never heard before! Would have liked to read more from East Tennessee, but enjoyed learning some history from other parts of the Volunteer State. I wish there were more photos, at least one to go with each story.
Loved it. The Introduction was sweet, short and to-the-point. Easy-reading, layout was spaced and wow!: actually surprisingly interesting; written from the heart of someone who knows.
