"Action Research in Education: A Practical Guide" was essential in supporting me through my M.Ed. action research proposal. I intend to keep this as a reference and highly recommend it to all teachers and educators seeking to conduct action research in their own contexts.

A stolid little companion to action research, detailing the process teachers undertake when analyzing their classrooms systematically. Very user-friendly, well written, and comprehensive. The chapters, in my mind, are a bit out of order, but only minorly so. And while there are certain Talbot-triggers throughout the book ("science proves" or "learning styles"), most of it is decidedly anodyne.
