The author covers several generally well-known UFO sightings starting in the 1940's. He goes into quite some detail about a few of them, especially those that seem to be obvious hoaxes. This includes people and organizations that have conspired to spin a particular story. The research is thorough, almost to the point of being painfully thorough (for me at least), but I do appreciate the amount of effort made to validate the point.

He also covers some incidents which seem to have no obvious explanations and were reported by reputable witnesses. And he includes some views on the official government releases related to many of those which can be interpreted as obvious debunking or in some cases a seeming cover-up.

Interesting in many areas but it does take some time to work through all the detail.

This is a very extensively researched book and very well presented at that. Don't be looking for any conclusive evidence of alien existence here. What the author does is actually exposes several well known, to us U.F.O. nuts, cases as fraud. He does this quite well as a matter of fact. Here is where it gets interesting though. The author presents that though there are numerous cases that are hoaxes, some may have been done deliberately. This is where the conspiracy thing comes into play. Here you will read about how the government is not investigating these cases, mainly by changing the names of the investigative groups, and how they attempt to disprove those cases that may actually have some validity. An interesting read for those who "want to believe".
