The Beauty of Du'a In Al Quran.

One of my favourite part reading the Al Quran and the hadith is reading the du'a. The beauty of the du'a is fascinating. How full with mercy is Allah. Not only will He listen and grant to all of our du'a, He even taught us on how to make du'a.

Undoubtedly, the literature side of the du'a is simply beautiful. Aparts from the beautiful words, it covers all important parts of the needs to a human.
Take the morning invocation which was read by the Prophet in morning.

اَللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْمًا نَافِعًا , وَ رِزْقًا طَيَّبًا , وَ عَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلاً.
(O Allah! I ask You for knowledge that is of benefit, a good provision and deeds that will be accepted.)

Clearly the du'a covers the needs in this world and the world after. But looking at it closely, (through my scarcity of knowledge in Arabic language), you will see on how the arrangement and the placement of the words is precise.
It specifically asked first for knowledge then only requesting for good rizq' and acceptance of good deeds.

Placing the importance of gaining knowledge/ilm before anything else.
Without knowledge, we will not know how to work towards gaining the worldly and akhirah provision.
Without knowledge, we will not know how to perform ibadah according to the prophet's way of doing it. (Which resulting for it not to be accepted by Allah.)
Thus, the first thing which we ask is knowledge.
Not any knowledge but specifically asking for the knowledge which is beneficial to us.
Words are precisely chosen. On the dot!
MasyaAllah.

Thus to me, du'a which I made especially in all my sujud and after the final tasyahud are the beautiful du'as from the holy Al Quran and hadiths.
Allah and His Prophets certainly know best.

*Loving this book as it is full with du'as selected from the Al Quran and hadith of the Prophet SAW.

Definitely one of my newest favorite dua books. Very good compilation. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would definitely recommend it as an everyday dua reference. It's a wonderful compilation for gifting too. I liked that the book contained the English translation alongside the Arabic text. The only thing(s) I would change about this book is that there should be transliteration added to it for those who are unable to read Arabic text. The English translation should contain the hadith text references in full words instead of B for Sahih al-Bukhari. I found only one spelling mistake in the entire book. Typesetting is well done. Nice solid sturdy book with a lovely layout in terms of aesthetics
