I wanted to write a book that celebrated and showcased a voluptuous heroine for a long time. I'm a curvy woman and proud of it! I loved penning Nick and Terrah's steamy romance! These two characters burned up the pages! I enjoyed the challenge of building the heat and intimacy between these two as they fall head over heels in love. The challenges their love presents for them both are relatable to anyone who's ever decided to trust their heart to another.

I would give Ample Delights 2.5 stars.
At the beginning I was excited to read because I loved the characters. I thought Terrah was cool, confident, and relatable while Nick was hot, sweet, and charming. Towards the end, however, I couldn't wait for their story to be finished. The characters became shallow to me. The response they showed to Jocelyn's supposed pregnancy was innappropriate as well as Terrah's "Wow. Are you okay?" to hearing of the miscarriage. And, even if she faked it all for publicity, using Jocelyn's failed pregnancy in an argument (about pictures from nearly a month ago no less!) was a grossly low blow on Terrah's part.
Additionally, I don't like it when authors use phrases like "real woman" or "how a woman should look" to describe women with a fuller figure. Last I checked what made a woman a "real woman" was the fact that she was born with a vagina and/or ovaries. Ms. Gregory even went as far as to put a news segment reporting about bigger women being preferred by men. The way to over come the insecurities of a certain body type is not to bash another. It only shows that no matter what that person says, they are still not secure enough in their appearance to not feel the need to insult those who don't look like them.

Still, there were parts of the book that I did like. I think the characters were cute together and that this story angle (i.e. black woman meets white male model) is one I haven't read before which makes it a bit unique. I also enjoyed Terrah's cheery relationship with her sister. I'm on the fence as to whether or not I'll read anymore of Ms. Gregory's books being that this is my first one and I wasn't exactly blown away.

Awwww....Man I love Terrah and Nick's story. There was such love and complete triumphant for these two, I loved how Nick just knew that he wanted her. There was not a hesitation on his part and he is just a man's man.

Terrah is beautiful, smart, funny and a curvaceous diva. She has struggled with her weight in the past and has overcome them but the emotional part was still a hindrance for her. It's funny how we believe we are over something and all it takes is a quick incident to reveal that we are not over it and a stronghold exists. I was so glad that the author put in the struggles and insecurities that Terrah faced because they are very real in each of our lives and I appreciated the realness.

Jocelyn another model was a one night stand which Nick regretted. Jocelyn on the other hand wanted something more which he didn't and tried everything in the book to get Nick back. Silly woman tricks are for kids lolll!!!

Nick was a man that wanted a family and not with some skinny chick but with a woman of substance and a woman to love, one look at Terrah and he knew that he had to get to know her. Terrah on the other hand didn't think so but she secretly lusted and had the hits for this Greek god lol!!

Nick proving to Terrah she was the only woman for him was the icing on the cake.

Well until my next review Ciao Bellas!

All around perfect book. I wish I could give it six stars.

Terrah and Nick work in the modeling industry, but since she's curvy, most people (Terrah included) figure she's not Nick's type. He pursues her although she thinks the most she can get out of their relationship is an island fling. The ending had everything I look for in this genre and the main couple's chemistry was off the charts. Not to mention it was well-written and the editing was superb.

You will not be disappointed.

Today’s media is selling us a message that if woman is not size zero or below then her life is miserable, unhappy, she is lonely and nobody will ever love her. Such a message is creating very dangerous anxiety among women. Fortunately there are books promoting curves and providing women with completely different and far more positive body image message. Ample Delights is one of those books.

The main character of the story is Terrah, a make-up artist in the fashion industry and she is size 14. But, regardless of her clothing size and the daily contact with the ultra-thin models, Terrah is a girl who loves her body and she is not putting her relationship in doubt because of her size. On the contrary, Terrah is one of the greatest size 14 heroines that I’ve had the chance to meet. She is down to earth, and when her old fears came crawling back she dealt with them in the rational and adult manner. No whining, no self-loathing, just telling the message: “love your body, love your curves”.

Besides the great heroine, this story is packed with hot sex. While the sex scenes give additional spiciness and flavor to the story, even without them the story would be great. In other words the story does not focus on the sex but on the development of the relationship between Terrah and Nick. Additionally, I would like to point out that although this is multicultural novel, the issue of multicultural relationship is not raised at all, which was really fine by me. Trying to cover too many issues in one place can unnecessarily dilute the story. Author Nichelle Gregory has done a great job focusing on body image issue while developing relationship and creating two great characters.

Ample Delights has all my favorite genre components; it is contemporary, Rubenesque and Multicultural, three in one — oh what a joy! — but what is most important it is also a great story that provides the reader with the message that you do not have to be size zero to be happy, loved, have great guy and very hot and satisfying sex. And because of all this I highly recommend this story.

...SIGH...
One can read the synopsis of this book, so there is no need for me to re-cap it here...Let's just say that I like sex in stories...not stories in sex.
For what I like to read, Ample Delights could have been so much better. The writing was fine, and the premise of the story was hopeful...too bad that the somewhat predictable plot was overshadowed by the onslaught of repetitive sex scenes. Besides becoming bored with the sex, and the over-abundance of crude language in regards to certain body parts (the dreaded c**t, c**k, and p***y words that I detest), I was also beginning to think that the female lead of the story was really one giant dripping dishrag, with the amount of times she gets wet in her panties...
What made me like the story even less was the more-or-less forced anal play between the two main characters. As I've mentioned before in other books I've stumbled upon, a nice lil' warning would have been nice. It was a complete turn off for me, but by then, I was skimming through the book to the end.
I deleted it from my Kindle; it's not like I'll be reading it again. The only reason I'm giving this two stars is because of the solid writing. (Too bad the author couldn't use her writing skills to tell a better story).

4 stars. Terrah and Nick this was very nice love story of how anyone can love without the look of races involve. Even in the books there is always will be racism because you are dating outside of your race. For me that is total bullshit, love is love and unconditionaly, no matter the color, creed nor religion. Kudos to Nichelle Gregory. We are Big Beautiful Woman and hear us roar!

5.0⭐️ DELIGHTFULLY SCRUMPTIOUS NB: Review originally written November 2012-I neither remember what criteria I used when rating books back then nor do I remember how cogent my reviews were, but I do notice an exuberant use of exclamation points, so here goes.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this book, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The main characters, Terrah and Nick, were such extremely likeable characters. We've all seen some Hollywood actor/model types who are exceptionally handsome and scrumptious on the outside, but vain, self-absorbed, insensitive louts on the inside. Rarely do we find such a hunk like Nick, who shows humility and seeks to put his woman's needs above his own. Nick (Mr. Greek God!!) was all that and more--so very refreshing!!! Terrah was one of those down to earth (not ghetto) black women who may be confident to the world on the outside, but still have emotional/psychological issues, namely insecurities about body type and/or weight. Reading Terrah's inner dialogue concerning body image, her recitation of all the cruel, insensitive comments about her weight when she was a teenager, as well as the public debate played out in the media about her "curves," was heart-wrenching at times, but they were dealt with beautifully and realistically by the author. Of course, the sexual encounters, those toe curling kisses, etc., were very, um, "stimulating." (OMG--ice cubes required!!!!!)

Nick & Terrah grappled with both inner and external conflicts that are very true to life. It was satisfying to follow their journey and to see how they each coped with and, ultimately, resolved those very real struggles.

This book was a very pleasurable read, and I think the length was just right (approximately 201 pages). Anything longer might have been rife with redundancies or more than likely the book would have gone in a totally different, unintended direction. For all of those who abhor myriad typos and other errors, I don't believe this book had any. Please note that the author uses "kerb" several times. This is not a misspelling, rather, it is the British version of the English (US) word "curb." I believe there may have been a few more words with British rather than US spellings. I recommend this book for all those rooting for an IR couple to rise above the conflicts and come out with a very deserved HEA ending. [Book still available]

I liked this book, very entertaining. The characters were interesting, without over the top drama. I liked that Terrah was a size 12, had some insecurities regarding the way her body was perceived back when she was overweighted and in the industry she worked for, but was nonetheless confident enough and had a great spirit. I liked that she didn't play games with Nick or spent too much time fighting her attraction : her questioning his attraction to her felt genuine and true to life, without ending being annoying. I liked Nick and that he was so confident with his feeling, without going all alpha jerk (god I hate that archetype!!). I wish we had had a bit more into his character though. maybe by having him interact with other characters (his agent, his family). The weakest plot to me was that modelling thing at the end : it was a bit too much. Also the emphasis on her good "curves" and "small waist" became annoying at this point : it ended not being about celebrating all body types but a very specific body type (thick thin or curves at all the right places). But all in all, it was a good read. which

I loved this story. The way Nick pursues her and the way she evades him were very real life. Actually I would do what Tarrah did and more. Nick however, well he was relentless in his pursuit of her. He wore her down. What surprised me is that he was an intelligent observant man. You know not an airhead or cocky man in the industry. I loved also his vulnerability. Made me want to go to him and just hug him and kiss him until he was better. I also loved Tarrah's character. She was just like every other woman female in the world. Filled with insecurities and doubt that she has had to overcome. There is no road map as ro how to overcome everyone's issues. Just that with time and hard work anything can be. This book was hot hot hot. There chemistry was scorching. And I have no complaints whatsoever. I would recommend this.

Love it!!

Nick love his women with some meat on their bones. Something to hold on to and Terrah fits that description. He was eager to chase any doubts on their relationship. Jocelyn was jealous that she wasn't the chosen one and was hell bent on making a fool out Terrah. I enjoyed the look on Jocelyn face when her misgivings came back and bit her in the butt. You don't want to mess with Terrah.

Ample Delights is a story of a curvy woman succeeding in the modeling world. Terrah is curvy and she knows it but it doesn't change her self confidence being the make up artist. She catches the eye of the world renowned Nick and she realizes that he isn't as shallow as she believed someone like him would be. They have an island fling and it turns deeper for both of them and they realized that a week just wouldn't be enough. It was an entertaining and easy read.

Not the best of Nichelle I've read. I started I wanted to really really like this book, but as a whole it seemed a bit rushed at the end and not as developed as it could have been. the sex was a bit much. it was like their connection was purely based on sex. it was an ok read. I finished it. so that is saying something.

Love is in the air !!!!

What a match Nick and Terrah made . Love the chemistry these two had was awesome. Nick showed Terrah how to be complete and comfortable with yourself and not worry about what others think. I would really like a continuation this novel .
