Rate this book
Marshall Hamilton Stewart III (a.k.a. It's an entertaining novel for a weekend at the beach or even a slow day at the office. No matter where you read it, it will add some sizzle to your summer or warmth to your winter. As the author, I am a tad biased:-), but please continue reading my comments. Hopefully, they will make you want to check out the reviews and sample pages on Amazon.

If I am lucky, you'll be hooked; you'll want to follow Mars as he tries to exonerate himself. See how his sense of being 'true to himself' puts his marriage and his family at risk. I think most will agree Mars was, indeed, senseless in Lewes. His job, his marital status and his freedom are all at risk as his life threatens to turn on a dime. Some is his own doing, some is not.

Please consider helping out a debut inedependent author. I can't guarantee you will enjoy it, but the feedback I have received in person, by e-mail, and online indicates that you will. Of the eleven who reviewed it on Amazon, nine gave it five stars and two gave four stars. One reader stated, "The tale was spun artfully . . .with lots of steam and intrigue ... always want to get to the next chapter. I strongly recommend the book as an easy and entertaining love/mystery ideal for quiet moments at the beach or beyond."

On a Dime - Senseless in Lewes has short chapters like in James Patterson's novels. I attempted to do what he does at the end of each chapter (and the end of the book) and leave you wanting to discover what the character(s)will do next. If you like reading James Patterson, I think you should try reading Revere Reed:-)

WARNING: The main character behaves badly; some readers will understandably never forgive his betrayal. Whether you end up loving or loathing him, I hope you will get swept away in Mars's story.

Disappointing

I like the premise of the book and the accurate local flavor of Delaware. The book was an easy read.

Why I was disappointed. Many inaccuracies. Banking is highly regulated and computer systems are monitored and audit logs stored for years.

The characters were too flawed. How could 2 people who were close as teenagers not recognize one of them decades later especially since he was deeply in love with her.

Finally, the ending was disappointing. Resolution of the issue would have been more satisfying.

This is a Delaware book with some very nice portrayals of summertime in Lewes. The description makes it sound much more like a thriller than it actually is, which is a story of middle age and the disruption of an orderly, predictable life. Not the type of thing I'm normally into, hence my mediocre rating, but I would definitely recommend it as light vacation reading.

This was a true page-turner. The author did a great job of creating believable, flawed characters. Their dialogue rang true, as well. I was familiar with most of the real places in Lewes, Wilmington and Baltimore that Mars visited as he tried to clear himself of pending embezzlement charges... I think the female author did a fine job in her portrayal of the male main character, Mars. I ended up never forgiving him, but I did get caught up in his story. I think you would too!

LOVED this book. It's set in Lewes, DE. Has many references to the beach communities in Delaware and to Smyrna and Wilmington! This book kept me hooked - a few surprises that added to my enjoyment.
