Dana McKinley is sick and tired. It's hard to admit but she's fed up of church, church friends, and even God. Walking the straight and narrow has never got her anywhere, especially not with the guys, and it's about time she made some changes!
However, as she sacrifices her convictions and reinvents herself in order to be accepted, she realises that there is a price to pay. And it's high. Her new friends pressure and influence her, and of course her new boyfriend wants her to do everything she knows she shouldn't. The party lifestyle isn't fun, and alcohol only makes her feel wretched.
After a series of terrible mistakes, Dana has an experience that may be the wake up call she needs. But has she already gone too far? Is she already too hardened? Can this Prodigal be redeemed?
Dayo Benson is passionate about using fiction to convey powerful messages about redemption and God's love. When she is not writing she enjoys music, reading and going for long walks. She lives in North West England with her husband and their two beautiful daughters.
My, my... another wonderful book from Dayo Benson.
The Prodigal brought the old version of the Prodigal son into today world. A Christian girl falling away from God and falling in with the wrong crowd. Sin, sex and boyfriend who was into drugs tried to bring her down and she was away for a couple of years. Her saving grace, her friends and her parents kept praying for her. Her brother straightening out the boyfriend and physically dragging her back to their parents home was the best part. Dana began her journey back into God's word.
