Manto always criticised and blamed for his "inapropriate writings" acts as a deep analyst of the society and its troubles and writes on taboo topics that people refrain to talk about or even acknowledge their existence. The beauty of Saadat Hasan Mantos work is that he is uncensored and has the ability to make the reader actually feel the strong emotion he is supposed to feel when talking about certain uncomfortable topics.

I loved:

Manto had a unique and almost unconventional way with words and phrases and he was indeed a master craftsman when it came to storytelling. Manto could just be as intense as Charles Dickens or Thomas Hardy, without using too many words. This volume contains the stories which are actually the hard truth of society, actively against tyranny and ideological confinement, more specifically about partition of India, which he opposed. His stories shows his deep understanding of Human Psychology; like Toba Tek Singh, Naya Qanoon etc. His innate humanity; his economy of words. What a man.

People tend to find manto ludicrous and lewd but it's his candid view of the world and the exact portrayal of human nature that makes him so. He isn't making stories in fact he is showing the readers the mirror, the reflection of men the vice and virtue as we know in real life and mostly the inner feelings of humankind that most like to leave hidden! That's what manto does best

Manto is one of the giants in Urdu literature! No one can match the quality of Manto's satire. He is the best story teller. He can rip you apart and put you together with his one simple sentence. Such is the power and ease of Manto with the language!
