From the creators of Ice Age and Rio, Epic tells the story of a hidden civilization. The battle between good and evil rages until a teenage girl is magically transported into this forest kingdom to help save their world, and ours.
The Jinn are tiny forest creatures who love all growing things. Their enemies, the Boggans, want to destroy the forest by spreading decay. When a human girl named M.K. magically shrinks and joins forces with the Leafmen— the brave warrior Jinn—the Jinn may have a chance of survival. Join M.K., the Leafmen, and other curious creatures on a dangerous journey to save this miraculous forest world!
Epic: The Junior Novel retells the whole exciting story and features eight pages of full-color images from the movie!
Yet another book that I had purchased after the watching the movie, only this time it was with the intention of giving this book as a present to my nephew. That did not go as planned and so I decided to read this book and pass it along. If you've ever seen the movie, then you may not take interest in reading this book as it is pretty much exact to the movie. However, I feel that this book is more suited to children who enjoy reading and loved the movie.
The Junior Novel is the next stop for your young reader after the early reader and 8x8" paperback picture books to tell the story of the film epic. Adapted by Annie Auerbach who also wrote Epic: Welcome to Moonhaven and Attack of the Boggans. Epic: The Junior Novel has 19 chapters and a middle section of color images to bring the story to life. This one also has an awesome font. Encourage your early reader to work their new reading skills in this chapter book and be rewarded with watching the film.
