*This book is not a YA read. It's an 18+ only novella that features sex, strong language and strong violence.

“No, I’m not a Vampire……The dead, not the living dead. The Ghost, walking through walls kind of shit dead.” I burst out laughing.
I had been murdered. “….narcissistic son of a bitch had murdered me”.
It had been two weeks and I was still learning how to be a ghost – moving objects, appearing and disappearing, and such. I had no idea it would be so hard.
Time passed and I became angry, then furious.
I wanted my revenge and I would HAVE it!
4 STARS – Would Highly Recommend To Others
The cover is pretty creepy.
I knew with the first page of the book that it was going to be different. The ghost story has been told so many times, I would think it very difficult to come up with something different, but Janiera Eldridge does it extremely well.
Brianna’s personality and outlook on life, or death, had me laughing all the way through the book. When I wasn’t laughing, I was pissed off for Brianna and wanted her to get her revenge.
The details and descriptions as she dies and her “life” as a ghost are vivid.
I picked this book up on an Amazon free day. I learned about it through Feed Your Reader. If you aren’t following them, you might want to check them out.
I received a copy from the author for an honest review. Brianna’s been murdered and is determined in some way to bring justice to Brian, the murderer. When she meets Tate one of Brian’s victims, she goes on a mission to keep her sister safe and make him pay for all the other deaths he has caused. She meets up with other victims and they put a plan in place. There is some kind of a pull that connects Brianna and Tate to each other, other than just being murdered by the same man’s hands. At what cost will they have to give up for the plan to work and save other young lives from this murderer?
This was a great story! Its about a woman who was killed from a serial killer. It tells her story after her death. she finds that the killer can see her ghost and tells her he will be going after her sister next. As shes sitting near her home another ghost comes to her and tells her he was a victim of the same killer and he and other victims want to get him back and kill him and his wife (she knows what he does). And while they are hashing out the plans she falls for Tate the ghost that brought her to the other victims. The story was well put together. It was awesome!
To get the technicalities out of the way, There's some structure issues and I did spot a number of small wrong word errors. Nothing to detrimental, they are just there. The story itself if very interesting and will definitely make the reader reconsider a few things in their own lives, especially when it comes to how they treat others for whatever reason, and things they could have done to given a different outlook to something that happened. Brianna was murdered in cold blood for absolutely no reason. She quickly discovered she isn't the only one the sick prick killed, though by some of their stories, hers was quick and less mortifying then theirs had been. I liked how this story was told. Brianna has been pretty much talking to god only knows what to tell her story. It's a very sad story, but not as sad as a few of the other ghosts' stories. There's some spectral romance brewing and some grisly things as well. A little something for everyone! Janiera has definitely grasped the absolute fear we all face with daily as well as the questions and what ifs we ask ourselves a lot too. I loved how the characters while ghosts still held on to the emotions they had and banded together to help each other out. I hope there will be another book.. One that perhaps delves into how Melissa died. I give this book 4 of 5 paws
What would it be like to roam the earth and not be seen or heard? You could see your loved ones, but they wouldn’t know you were there. Everyone is going on with their lives and all you can do is observe. That may be what ghosts feel like, they are shadows of their former selves and not a part of society anymore. They see everything and have nothing but time on their hands. This is the idea behind Good Ghost Gone Bad by Janiera Eldridge.
Brianna Moreno was a normal 22-year-old woman. She had a family, bills to pay and was trying to start a career. That all changed when she was murdered walking through the park one evening. Brianna’s killer is the only one that can see her and he’s happy to know she will be walking the earth unseen for eternity. She wanders the streets feeling lonely and wanting revenge, but she doesn’t know how to get it.
Just when Brianna thought things couldn’t get worse, she discovers her killer also plans on murdering her sister. Brianna has no clue on how she can save her, until she meets her killer’s other victims. The ghosts get together and learn how to use their powers to make their killer pay. Vengeance comes with a price though and Brianna may not like what she becomes.
Good Ghost Gone Bad hits on some interesting themes such as loneliness, love, vengeance and not taking anything for granted. I love the way this story begins, the author makes you feel Brianna’s loneliness by describing her walking down the streets and the wind blowing through her. Then she recounts her brutal murder and how her hopes and dreams came to an end. I liked hearing Brianna tell all the little things she missed about being alive such as reading and sleeping. There is a lot of depth to all the characters in this story and some good action sequences.
There were some grammatical errors in this book that took a little away from the story. Also there were some things that didn’t make sense, like when the ghosts find a victim being held captive by their killer and don’t seem to care. Than later on a ghost saves a person even though his struggle with the killer had already summoned help. I would have liked to know what happened to the people who came to help.
The positives out weigh the negatives in the story. The killer’s revelations towards the end really made me think and they were a surprise coming from a murderer. I also found the killer’s double life interesting, along with his wife’s attitude towards him. It was also interesting to see how Brianna changed as a person throughout the book and the decisions she makes towards the end.
There is a lot going on in this novella and Janiera Eldridge does a great job of telling a good story and creating memorable characters. This book may have had some flaws but it was a good read and I found myself looking into Janiera’s other works as soon as I finished. Good Ghost Gone Bad is a different kind of ghost story and a good example of how much depth a horror story can have.
Brianna is a young woman that is murdered by a serial killer named Brian. Her spirit does not pass on and she is left to roam the earth as a ghost. She soon finds out that the man that killed her plans to come after her sister next. With the help of Brian's other victims, Brianna will learn some new tricks to kill the man that caused her such pain.
Let me start off by telling you how I came to review this novella. I posted on my page that I was looking for a book that would scare the crap out of me. One of my readers suggested this one and the author offered to send it to me in exchange for a review. I'm glad she reached out because Good Ghost Gone Bad gave me NIGHTMARES. No lie! I had 2 nightmares this week about being murdered. So not cool!
What I liked: Brianna is a very strong person and she does what she sets out to do. There's a hot ghost guy thrown into the mix and it adds a slight bit of heat to the story. Not much, but it was done right. This book scared the mess out of me. I love my horror books to be somewhat gore-y and Janiera delivered that. You should have seen that look on my face while reading the end of the book. It was truly horrifying.
What I didn't like: The story was predictable but it didn't mean I didn't enjoy it. I would have wished for a bigger twist and maybe make it a little longer. I don't ever rate a book based on grammatical errors and it could benefit from a look over by an editor.
I would definitely recommend this book if your are looking for a quick horror read.
Brianna Moreno was 22 when she was murdered by some psycho serial killer named Brian who had killed dozens of people before her. Now, she was stuck on this mortal coil as a ghost and had to learn how to survive if you will, at being one, like move objects and transport. With the help of Tate, another ghost who she thinks is hot, he leads her to an old decrepit house. Here she finds other victim ghosts intent on avenging themselves. I found the story had it's disturbing points and gory points but it was very amateurish.
First of all, too many spelling mistakes. I don't know if it is the editor's fault but it was awful. Secondly, did the premise of being a ghost fail with Brian and his wife when they were killed? Didn't these murdered ghost victims think Brian and his wife would become ghosts as well? They didn't but why not? It wasn't something that was explained and am I the only one who thinks this?
Anyway I'm glad Brianna was able to save her sister and that the ghosts succeeded in killing the bad guys. I was even happy to hear about the romantic theme with Tate and Brianna but I don't think I could recommend this book unless the errors were corrected.
This is the first ghost story I have read and a while and being that it is Halloween today I think it is a fitting time to have read it and be posting the review. Brianna Moreno is what I would call one bad ass ghost and her story is one that kept me pretty riveted from the get go. There were a few small things that did not seem to flow as nice as I would have liked them to here and there, but it did not draw me away from the story to much I have seen a lot worse for sure!
The story itself is solid, interesting and the result is one that made me cheer from where I was sitting and reading, but I won't share it here because I do not want to give away any spoilers. If you like good paranormal in an adult setting this is going to be a book that you will enjoy I would recommend it.
I really don't read scary, books to much but good ghost gone bad is so good, I could not put it down I felt the pain Brianna was going through, And she able to talk to Brian the one who kill her...he a killer and his wife no all about it she just has sick has him, he can talk and see ghost, and Brianna and the rest of everyone he kill want revenge,,,Brianna meet Tate one of Brian victims, They become close and find everyone who Brian murdered, He after, Brianna Lil sister She will stop at nothing to make sure he don't take her and the other ghost, I won't give up to much this was a short story it was so good. action love frightening, great characters, a must read, Janiera is one of my favorite author, all of her book are Fabulous check them out
10*s. I recieved an eARC copy of this story directly from the author in return for an honest review. WOW. This an amazing story with a twist. I was in love with this story from the beginning to the end. I felt for the characters and the things that they lost and loved ones that were taken. This is a MUST read story that will capture your heart and soul and keep you reeled from beginning to end. Thank you, Janiera Eldridge, for giving me the opportunity to read and review this story that I believe is a true and real story!!
This book is definitely different. Told from the ghost's point of view makes it all the more interesting. Poor Brianna is brutally murdered by a sadistic serial killer who's a respected member of the community. After being forced into limbo, she finds others who also died by his hands. After learning her sister is also in danger, she vows to bring her killer to justice- with the help of the others...
Gruesome moments of murder and death, intertwined with friendship and passion. This book is a real page turner. It was hard to put the book down. Passionate, satisfying ending. If you love a good ghost story this is the book to read.
