My four year old received this book for Christmas. She requested “a collection of actual rocks” and this book. The book was originally seen at a local gas station and ultimately led to a little girl falling head over heels for rocks. I must confess that I was not looking forward to reading the book. However, after reading the little gem from cover to cover, I must say, I enjoyed learning about rocks and minerals.
I truly enjoyed the book! The pictures of the rocks and minerals were beautiful along with the information about each stone. They also had information on famous rock formation, the hardness scale, and the periodic table. Just to name a few. The book is pack full rock information. I highly recommend it.
