Everyday we move closer to an unseen inevitability. The path is segmented, the choices are too many. Those who are ignorant choose to be, and they shall fall. I call out to those who have ears – look to the light, wait for the new coming - believe …

Fallen is Mark Rocha's first anthology of poetry that explores the darker side of mankind, the side that people are afraid to acknowledge - the side that makes us fall. Fallen is a look inside this darkness that is in all of us and a realization that we are not alone with these feelings.

Mark Rocha was born in Dubai, where he studied at Dubai Scholars and later completed his A-Levels at St. Mary's Catholic High School. At the age of 18, he moved to Goa, India where he completed his Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communication at St. Xavier's College. Shortly after finishing college, he was asked to join Radio Indigo where he started his career in Media as the host of the evening prime time show 'Cruise Control'.
During his time on radio, Mark Rocha made a profound impact on the emerging radio scene in Goa, as private radio took over for the first time. His evening show 'Cruise Control' became one of the most popular radio shows in Goa, making him a household name in Goan media.[2]
Although he was known for his creative wit and humour on and off air, Mark Rocha was little known as a writer since this was always a passion that was kept heavily guarded, and known only to a select few. He started work on his first anthology of poetry at the age of 19, and tried to find publishers who were willing to publish his work, however the subjective nature of poetry meant that he was forced to take the self-publishing route which he did with the help of Cinnamon Teal Publishing almost 7 years later.

'Fallen' is the first collection of Poetry that was published in August 2012 by Cinnamon Teal Publishing. The collection as described by Mark Rocha "explores the darker side of mankind, the side that people are afraid to acknowledge the side that makes us fall". Though the book is only available through online book retailers such as Flipkart and Indiaplaza, Fallen is set to be available in bookstores by the beginning of 2013.
