"Shadow" completely swept me away! I was captivated by the secrets, hidden identities, and the constant tests of loyalty and love. Shadow's escape from her gilded cage and journey to discover who she truly is was so inspiring. And the slow-burn romance with Sir Kenway? Absolute swoon-worthy perfection! The plot kept me guessing, and while I wished for a bit more magic, Shadow's inner strength more than made up for it. If you love YA fantasy with a dash of romance and a heroine you can't help but root for, this hidden gem is for you.

I read this book when I was in middle school and it was the first book I ever read that made me realize you could in fact actually love to read. I will forever love this book and hold it near and dear to my heart.
