Amazing sequel to Forever Fae! I couldn’t wait to read this because I loved the first book and I really enjoy books dealing with the Fae. This was no exception. Fortunately, the author let me beta read this book for her and I enjoyed every minute.

Betrayals of Spring continues the story after the events in book one and deals with a different character from the first book: Meliantha−Calista’s sister and a princess of the Summer Court.

I love, love, love Meliantha. She’s tough and she’s got her head on straight. A beautiful redhead with unusual amethyst eyes, she was anything but spineless. Unfortunately, she’s gone through some heartache from the one person who should’ve been there for her. They really let her down! But, it only made her stronger−she’s not one to wilt and fade away. Meliantha becomes a warrior in her own right. I really like how tough she is portrayed.

The other main character in this book is Kalen, a prince of the Winter Court and destined to be with Meliantha. Or so he thought. After a baffling event, he tries to move on and mend his broken heart. He was definitely a hot number and I felt for him with his continued adoration of Meliantha.

The secondary characters were well described and important to the storyline in every way. I was left in awe of the cast and found each one interesting and with more than meets the eye. Each character was described well and their characteristics shined throughout this book. We are introduced to more species of Fae and the adventure spans through forbidden territories of the Land of the Fae. The descriptions were awe inspiring and vivid. I enjoyed Meliantha’s journey and her desire to help others even if she’s often finds herself in dire need of help too.

My favorite part of the book was when the author introduces us to the terror of the Tyvars. You’ll have to see what I mean, I was on pins and needles reading this part and hoping Meliantha could deal her way out of it. It was amazing!!!

Overall, I enjoyed Betrayals of Spring a lot. I really loved the different species of Fae Meliantha runs into, the turmoil and anguish she endures and the trials she must face. A strong second book in a very intriguing and action filled series.

I was one of the lucky ones to received an ARC Copy of Betrayals Of Spring for exchange for an honest review. Everything you are about to read is my full an honest opinion about the book.

Okay, So where do you start when you love EVERYTHING about a book!
If you loved "Forever Fae" then hold on tight because this book is going to knock your socks off and take you for a ride like no other!! And I am NOT exaggerating one bit!! This book has SO many twist an turns, Ups an downs. Surprises around every corner. The book was AMAZING from the Prologue to the very end. But as the chapters went by it just kept getting better an better to the point to where I thought to myself wait, this book can't get no better then it already has, then BAM it's 10 times better then it was!! Truly Remarkable, AND BLOW ME AWAY!!

As you should already know this series is about the power of the 4. Four different Princess but all connected. So in each book their will be a different Princess that the evil Sorcerer is trying to steal their powers from. The Sorcerer can't take over the Faerie-land until each princess becomes of age an then he has to take their powers in a certain order. Then, an only then will he have enough power to defeat the Royals and take over the Faerie-land for himself.

So this is book 2 a wonderful follow up of "Forever Fae". This one is about the second Princess an the second oldest, Princess Meliantha of Summer Court and her soul mate Prince Kalen of Winter Court.

The Dark Sorcerer has gained an enormous amount of strength and power from Queen Calista from book one. So he is much stronger then before. He is determined to destroy Princess Meliantha's life, an that he does. The Dark Sorcerer has to obtain his power from the Princess BEFORE her bonding is complete with her Prince. And if he does not he can't take the power from that princess. Then he will not have the strength an power to take over the lands. So he must do everything in his power to make sure he claims Meliantha's power before the bonding is complete with Prince Kalen.

This books takes us all over the Faerie-land. Through the most evilest places known to Fae. The Dark Sorcerer has a game played out and Princess Meliantha is his player.

I don't want to give to much away because trust me you want to enjoy every part of this book, it's that GOOD!

Meliantha is strong kick-butt female heroine and truly is remarkable. She is SO feisty when need be and so kind when needed. She has so much strength and bravery. She was really an enjoyable character and I built up such a strong connection with her. It was like when she hurt I hurt. When she cried I cried and when she laughed I laughed. I really fell in love with this book and the characters.

Leslie Dover the WONDERFUL author of this book has truly outdone herself. And this being ONLY her second book shows how much potential she really has, an what's in store for her coming books. She is truly an AMAZING author, an a AMAZING person at that! I give her mad props for this book. An will ALAWAYS read ANYTHING she writes without even knowing what it's about because anything she writes I know will truly be AMAZING!

So BRAVO Leslie Dover, You are AMAZING!

I give this book 10 out of 5 rating. I mean it was just that good! An if you haven't read "Forever Fae" I suggest you read that first to get the full experience of the book! Trust me you WON'T BE SORRY!!

Betrayals of Springs is the sequel to Forever Fae by Leslie Dover!! IT WAS AN AMAZING BOOK!
I was so excited to read this book because I loved the first one Forever Fae. Fortunately, the author allowed me to read a copy of the book before it comes out adn review it.

Betrayals of Spring picks up with the end of the first book that deal with Princess Melinatha~ Calista's sister and Prince Kalen~ Ryder's brother

Mel went through many heartbreaks in the book but at the very end she over came the problems. Just like Princess Mel, Prince Kalen struggles wiht heartbreak but over comes them.

My favorite parts was when Mel found Kalen and my the other was at the very end of the book.

Overall, I loved and enjoyed the book.... I can's wait to hear when the third one comes out.

AWESOME!!!!!!

IT WAS FAE FABULOUS

There was no dull spots it was filled with so many different faes! it was so different but, still had that feel that book one did. This couple was so very different then the first but they still had the love I don't know how to describe it but, it's a great feeling I got while reading this book. Kalen and Meliantha are both just great characters and perfect for each other! This Dark sorcerer needs his head ripped off!! This book was full of adventure and back a stabbing traitorous snotty woman too!!
If you love books filled with magic, hot men and woman, and darkness then you need to read this!!

I was given this book for an honest review!

I absolutely fell in love with this book. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed Forever Fae too, but I have to say that Betrayals of Spring is my favorite. The story is very action-packed and is filled with romance and magic. Leslie did a wonderful job on creating a story that can grab your attention after the very first page. The world-building was on point and beautifully crafted. I was able able to feel as if I was right there with the characters along for their journey. The writing was so descriptive that I was able to picture everything going on. I love that about books. Betrayals of Spring is a captivating story that focuses on destiny and shows how love and magic can conquer all.

Meliantha has closed off her heart to everyone, because Prince Kalen shattered it five years ago. She changed completely, inside and out. She is no longer considered the weak and timid princess, but a beautiful, confident, and strong woman. She hasn't seen Kalen in five years. After a long separation, they finally get to see each other at the Winter Solstice Ball. Upon seeing each other, the connection is even stronger than what it was five years ago. Princess Meliantha is next in line to fulfill her par to the prophecy. It is her destiny as being one of the "four." At the ball, the Fae can sense the black magic. The Dark Sorcerer is ready to start his game with Meliantha. What happened between Meliantha and Kalen five years ago to separate them? Will the Dark Sorcerer get Meliantha magic in order to fulfill his plan? Will Meliantha and Ken get their happily ever after they have been waiting five years for?

I loved Meliantha as a character. She was very stubborn and strong-willed and I admired her for that. Training with the warriors taught her to protect herself. With a bow and arrow, Melantha never misses her shot. She didn't let anyone push her around. I felt bad for her that she changed so much due to her heart breaking. I always loved the sweet Meliantha as well. But it did make her stronger, and she was able to protect herself. When she finally saw Kalen after five years, she learned the truth. She started opening her again and the soft-hearted Meliantha started showing again. Meliantha has always loved nature ad animals. Having an affinity for it lets her communicate with the animals and heal lands. She also has another ability that she has kept hidden from everyone, but once it is known, everyone is in awe over it. I also love how determined Meliantha was. No matter what, she never gave up. She was going to save her prince no matter what. I love Kalen!!!! I loved him in the first book and couldn't wait to see him again. He is just flat out gorgeous!!! He has been suffering for five years too. Meliantha broke his heart and denied him, and he doesn't know why. He thought there was a connection with them, but she turned him away. Five years later, he learns the truth, and his anger takes on a whole new level. He loves Meliantha unconditionally and would do anything for her. And I must say, I love his wolves!!!!!

Now onto the secondary characters. I love her guardian Ashur as well. He is a great protector and would anything to keep the princess safe. Being her guardian, Meliantha and Ashur are able to communicate in their minds. They feel what each other is feeling, and that is a very special bond that they share. I was so happy that he got his happy ending with Elissa. I really liked Finn as well. He was an all around great guy, and knew he would eventually lose Meliantha. When the time came, he stepped down but he was still heartbroken. I am very glad he got a happy ending too.

I loved the romance in this story. I actually felt the unconditional love between them. I am romance junkie and that is one of my favorite parts. I was a little worried at first, because in Forever Fae felt more lust than love between the characters. But in Betrayals of Spring, the love shines through and grows throughout the story. It was beautifully written, and I can't wait to see more between these characters.

I love how Leslie alternated the POVs in this story. I love getting that extra inside scoop as to what is going on in their heads. I hated from reading in the dark sorcerer's POV. I just really hate him. I hate all the evil doers though. Betrayals of Spring was beautifully written and well thought out. There ere so many twists and turns in this story that it kept me on the edge on my seat the entire time. Once I started reading this book, I didn't want to put it down. I have always loved Fae stories and this one didn't disappoint me at all. I loved everything about it. I can't wait too read the third book, Summer of Frost, to see what happens next. I am falling in love with these characters and this series as a whole. It just keeps getting better and better. I recommend this book to everyone!!!!

Well Meliantha is definitely nothing like Calista, which I liked. The girl has spunk, "Oh, by being the helpless pretty girl that relies on everyone to take care of her? No, thanks. I plan on changing into a gown before the ball so get the sword out of your ass and calm down." The first few chapters killed me (can't say why you'll just have to read and figure out why for ya'll selves.) I really enjoyed seeing Ryder and Calista in this book and seeing what they are up to in their lives . There were times I felt sorry for Mel but then I realized the girl can handle her own with that smart mouth of hers, "...If you will excuse me, I need some fresh air. For some reason the air in here just turned rancid." Yeppers her mouth I love dearly, "Oh, the part where you're getting married to a raging bitch? Yeah I think I know what's going on..." Mhmm girl you let him know what's on your mind. I actually really enjoyed this book more then the first, it's probably because Mel and Calista were so different which made their stories different as well. Ready for the third installment in this book!

I just have to say that LP Dover is an amazing and talented author.
I loved Betrayals of Spring, the thing I loved most is that Meliantha was no damsel in distress, she was fierce and one force to be wreckened with. She was not about to allow anyone in her path to save the ones she loved, no matter the cost.

The Dark Sorcerer is back to his same old tricks to get the power of the 4. However, some of his tricks has back fired on him and made Meliantha a strong warrior.

Kalen is still in love with Meliantha but cant figure out what he did wrong for her to hate him so much, now the Winter Court is hosting a ball and she will be here, he doesn't know if he can handle being around her even if he is engaged to be married to another fae.

L.P. Dover does it again! I am in love with this series! Betrayals of Spring picks right up where Forever Fae leaves off and never misses a beat. I was completely thrilled with this book. Reading the next in this series just sparked my interest that much more.
Meliantha is an awesome fae princess that knows how to kick some butt! When she collides with the handsome and sexy Kalen their world spins into a wonderful world of Fae! Their world becomes a spiraling fall into dark an terrifying game brought on by the dark sorcerer as he throws obstacles in their path to keep Meliantha and Kalen apart. Does their love survive? Will they finally be together? I will never tell I do however, recommend that you go pick up this series and find out for yourself. I promise you won't regret it!

“Betrayals of Spring (Forever Fae, Book 2)” by L.P. Dover

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I absolutely love this book! Author L.P. Dover did not disappoint me with the second book in the “Forever Fae” series at all! This book is a definite 5 STARS, without question. I would recommend “Betrayals of Spring” to readers of the New Adult and Adult genres, who enjoy Fantasy novels involving Fae and lots of Romance.

Princess Meliantha is next in line to fulfill her part of the prophecy. She is one of the “Four” that will change things for the better in the Land of Fae. After a traumatic event in Meliantha’s life, she makes a vow to herself to never be weak again. Gone is the shy, weak, and timid girl that used to just be “Calista’s younger sister,” and in her place is a brave, strong, and confident woman. Meliantha wants to be ready when the Dark Sorcerer comes for her…because she knows he will come. Can anyone ever really be ready for someone so evil and twisted though? Follow Princess Meliantha on her journey of finding herself, protecting herself, and hopefully finding the love of her life.

I don’t even know where to begin! I seriously LOVE L.P. Dover’s work! The first book in the “Forever Fae” series was fantastic and I loved every second of the 5 STAR novel. I couldn’t wait to read the second book and see where the author would take the story in “Betrayals of Spring.” Let’s just say that I was in no way disappointed. I loved every word written in this novel because I felt that every single one was significant. Every single event was important. I loved the mysteries and loved them even more when they were revealed. The twists and surprises were fantastic and kept me on the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. My emotions were on high throughout the entire novel. There were points when I wanted to yell at Meliantha and Kalen…but in a good way! Other points when I wanted to scream because of the Dark Sorcerer. I just love when a book captivates me. It’s great to have my emotions so involved in a work of fiction.

I loved Meliantha’s character. She was such a strong and beautiful woman. She didn’t take bull from anyone and I liked that about her. I just think that it is too bad that she made such a drastic change in her life for the reason that she did. I understand it though, but I just feel sorry for the way the transformation came about. It would have been nice for her to change for different reasons. But not everyone’s life can be perfect all the time right? L.P. Dover did a magnificent job making these characters feel so real. I was routing for Meliantha the entire time, and I just wanted her to be happy with her Prince. I really loved Kalen’s character. I loved him in the first book of this series as well. He really loves Meliantha and I find that to be so sweet. I know these Fae have a very unique connection being a part of the Four, but that would be wonderful to find a love so strong in my life. It’s just so beautiful! I think the supporting characters were great and very important. Ashur was a great guardian and I enjoyed reading scenes with him present. He was just an all-around good guy that deserves happiness with Elissa. I also really liked Kalen’s white wolves. Even though Aki was a wolf, he felt like such an important character. He loved Kalen and would do anything to protect him and in turn would do anything to protect Meliantha. I loved that both Kalen and Meliantha shared the same love for animals, I think that was very sweet. I was wishing for Meliantha and Kalen’s happily ever after from the very beginning of “Betrayals of Spring.” At other points I was yelling for them to JUST DO IT! I love getting so involved with a book, it is so much fun!

I would definitely recommend “Betrayals of Spring” by L.P. Dover to everyone who read the first novel, “Forever Fae.” This full-length novel is great for readers 18 and older. There is some violence, language, and sexual content that is only appropriate for adults. Fans of Romance and Fantasy should check this book out. L.P. Dover is such a talented author and I will continue to read her work. I am anxiously awaiting more!

Back to the Land of the Fae we go for the second installment of Forever Fae, Betrayals of Spring. This time we follow the Summer Courts' second oldest princess Meliantha and the story couldn't be more different for her than her sister's story. After having her heart broken by who she thought was Prince Kalen, Meliantha decides she isn't going to be the fragile princess she was when we began this series and during the 5 years between books she has transformed into a warrior princess, having trained hard learning everything she can to protect not only the ones she cares about but her own heart. This happens to be my favorite part of the entire book. Meliantha is a kick-ass women when we meet her again and it couldn't be more awesome. She can defend herself, she rolls with the warriors and she is an independent women who doesn't need a man, or anyone for that matter. Now, her sister Calista in the first book was no slouch, but she is put to shame when Meliantha comes back into the picture. However, despite what she may tell herself, the most amazing part is that she still has her kind heart, even if she hides it under all that armor. She cares about her plants, sprites, and family with no less vigor, just an over-arcing theme that she can now protect them if need be, especially with her added power of healing. This balance of stength and compassion is what ends up saving both her own life and the life of her Prince in the end, and I personally think is what makes her the best asset to the Fae against the Dark Sorcerer.

Another aspect that I love about these books is the world. The way the Land of the Fae is described is so thorough that I can picture the courts and the forest as though I'm standing in the middle of them. Even just beyond the physical description of the land, I feel like I'm being taken on a tour when I'm reading. Introduced to so many different kinds of Fae as we go along like redcaps, Leprechauns and Tryvar in this story, you can put these characters into the landscape and almost see the entire thing come alive, which I would like to add is NOT an easy thing to do.I always believe that having developed characters is great but when you can put them in an amazing world that has depth and range THAT is what makes an amazing story, and you'll find that in Betrayals of Spring.

To wrap this up, I enjoyed this book immensely. I may have fallen in love with Ashur, her guardian and Kalen's wolf pack just a little bit....or a lot. The only thing I had written down in my notes was that I would love to see the mortal world get thrown in more. They talk about going there and we get a little glimpse of it towards the end, but I'd love to see some adventure there for someone. I thought this story was beautifully written and you can see the obvious growth from the first book to the second and the story definitely benefits from it. I can not wait to see the other two characters of the prophecy get there own book and see what is next for the Land of the Fae!

I think I have found my place that I would like to live. That is the summer court!!! I finished this book early this morning... very early... like I've only had a few hours of sleep early! I could not put this book down, because I was hooked!

This book is about Meliantha, princess of the Summer Court. Kalen, the Winter Prince, and brother of Ryder, broke her heart five years ago. Because of this heart break, she has trained hard and built a wall around her heart, so she won't feel love. To her surprise, she feels the connection with Kalen when she arrives at the Winter Palace. She's confused and angry, because of how he treated her. He is just as confused, because he doesn't know what he's done to make her reject him so quickly.

Just after arriving, her older sister Calista releaizes that Finn, Mel's lover has been taken over by the dark sorcerer. This comes as a shock to Mel, as a horrible reality comes clear to her, and she struggles to deal with that. Just after this, she finds out just how far the dark sorcerer will go to come between her and Kalen, and the prophecy. This starts her on a journey to mend what has been taken away from her and Kalen.

Kalen... he's beautiful... but he's also very much in love with Mel. In the midst of his depression, he starts seeing a woman who is not who she seems to be. In time, he sees her true colors, but it comes at a cost that almost takes his life. Once he realizes the true reason why Mel hated him so, he makes it his mission to prove her wrong. He's been in love with her, and missed her so much that now that they can be together, he doesn't want to be apart from her.

The Dark Sorcerer has different ideas though. This guy is one sick man!! The way he used Mel is disgusting, and I can not wait to see what she does to him for revenge. Kalen, who he uses in his own sadistic way, has his own reasons want to kill him. I strongly hope, because of what he did to Claista in the first book, and then Mel, that he really gets what's coming to him.

I knew when I read Forever Fae (which I was coveting since it came out), this was going to be an amazing book!! It's proof of it, since I was up past one in the morning reading it! I had to know what happened in the end, but sadly, had to wait until this morning at about five to finish the book. My eyes started closing of their own volition, which was my cue to go to bed. Thankfully, it wasn't long to finish it. I can not wait until the next book!!!

I said this on FB, and I'm stating it here.... I would like to move to the Summer Court, move into Claista's old room, and have someone with the looks of Ryder or Kalen giving me attention.

These Series, Are so good, once I start I could not put it down I had to know what happen next in the Forever Fae Series. Meliantha is the princess of The Summer Court, She has fallen in love with Kalen,Kalen comes to visit her and he tells her they can no longer see each other and Meliantha is heartboken. Five Years Later Meliantha still has feeling's for him, even though she is seeing someone else. The Winter Solstice Ball is coming up and Meliantha is hoping to see Kalen. Once They get there Calista knows something is up and soon Meliantha knows too, Finn the guy Meliantha is seeing wears a gold band on his arm and she realize's that it has been cursed with the Dark Sorcerer magic which means that the Dark Sorcerer has been in Finn's body. Meliantha gets ready for the ball and she has a feeling that the Dark Sorcerer might show up. Kalen and Meliantha finally talks, and Kalen tells her he still loves her and has feelings for her, Meliantha doesn't know that he is engaged but soon she does Kalen doesn't have the chance to expand to her. The Dark Sorcerer kidnaps Kalen, and Meliantha goes after him, and she goes through a lot in order to save him, she finally gets to The Dark Sorcerer he tells her she needs to choose or he will kill Kalen She doesn't take is his games, so she tells him to take her instead, but he kills Kalen while he was in his body, and Meliantha trys to stop him but can't she tells Kalen to come back to her she gives him all the magic in her for him to live soon she see's he doesn't come back and then she black's out. In order for Kalen to Get Meliantha back him and her guardian needs to go in her mind and see if they can find her because she is lost because she thinks Kalen is died soon, Kalen finds her and tells her to come back and she does. Kalen and Meliantha finally belong together and the complete the bond. I hope I did not give to much away, this book was Awesome!!! Author L.P. Dover Has Done and Awesome Job with this second book I Just Love The Series!!! Great Job

I got about 4 chapters into this and had to stop. To each their own, I suppose, but I'm very confused as to how this book has so many 5 star ratings. The writing seemed young, like someone who might be good someday, but for now needs a lot of practice learning how to narrate cogently. Maybe I would have understood more if I had read the first book, but as it is, in what little I read the characters' reactions made no sense (for example, in the Prologue the hero gives the heroine a necklace, and she touches him and because she does not receive a vision at that point revealing him to be her true love, she thinks he has "betrayed" her and her heart is broken beyond all repair). Plus the author spent so much time telling me about the physical appearances of the characters, followed by their respective powers, I found myself bored. If I'm honest though, these things wouldn't have been enough to make me put the book down on their own, because I have definitely made it through worse, but the author chose to use a first-person present tense, which alternated between at least 3 different characters, one of whom is the villain. I have a hard time getting into first-person present stories to begin with, so the alternating POV made it very hard for me to get into the story.

So I really don't get what I'm missing here with all of these 5 star reviews. I feel like I should go back and try again because this is obviously a hit with a lot of people. This book gets 2 stars - and I'm being generous because it isn't the author's fault alternating 1st person isn't my thing and I put it down before I could read enough to give it a fair try. Maybe it gets better after the author got done with her character intro information dumps? I don't know, but seriously, I would not recommend this one

It's crazy how one small event can completely change your life. Meliantha feels betrayal and heartache and it changes her from a pretty and sweet princess to a beautiful warrior princess. She's now strong, determined, and independent, but she still feels a little empty inside. That event allowed the dark sorcerer to keep her away from her true love for 5 years!!

Once Meliantha and Kalen are reunited and discover Alasdair's deceit, it's amazing to see them feel joy after being sad for so long! But the dark sorcerer's not done. He's got new tricks up his sleeve that affect Meliantha's best friend, her guardian, and her prince.

Alasdair is EVIL. Seriously evil. If I could change anything, I wish he wouldn't have used Finn the way that he did. It hearts my heart to think about it. Gosh I really wanted someone to kill this guy!! It probably won't happen until the Four have each bonded with their true love but I wish he could have died yesterday!!!

After Alasdair's latest kidnapping, Meliantha sets off on a journey to save Kalen and along the way she meets several scary, new fae. Leprachans, Tyvars, and Redcaps, Oh My!! This was one of my favorite parts of the novel!!! Regardless of how others see these species, Meliantha is able to look past the darkness and see the good in each of them. Because of this, she's made new friends and valuable allies.

I love that Meliantha finds a way to save her King! What a tough and fantastic heroine!!! Then Kalen has his chance to rescue and bring back his Queen after she gave her all fighting for him! The Spring Court sounds like a beautiful and majestic place. The book had a wonderful ending and I'm looking forward to Sorcha's story! Bring on Book 3!

The second book in the Forever Fae series continues the story from book one and tells the tale of a different character: Meliantha a princess of the Summer Court and Calista's sister. We are also introduced to more species of fae as the battle with the dark socerer continues. This story is filled with romance, action, and magic. Once again there are a few passages that are a bit more "adult" but oh so good!
Meliantha has gone through some heartache from the one person who should've been there for her, but it only made her stronger. She's tough and not one to cave in or run away. She has become a "tough as nails" warrior. Meliantha is the next to fulfill her part of the prophecy of The Four. She doesn't take any foolishness and I like that about her. This girl really has some sass and attitude, and I loved it!
Kalen, a prince of the Winter Court, brother to Ryder, and also destined to be with Meliantha. Though Kalen is engaged to another he is still in love with Meliantha, but cant figure out why she hates him so much. Kalen is actually a very sweet character that has you falling in love with him over and over.
This couple was very different then the first but they still had the same all consuming kind of love. I loved the fact that both Kalen and Meliantha share the same love for animals.
This was a great read and I enjoyed it even more than the first book. I love the references to Calista & Ryder from the first book and to the future books of Ariella & Sorcha. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of the series and would highly recommend this book!

I received this book ARC for an honest review by the author because she's simply AMAZING!

Stars: 5+

Overall: Just like the first book i can feel the magic flowing off the pages and i love it. Miss Dover promised that this book was going to surpass the second book and she wasn't wrong. It was filled with betrayal, lost love, Girl kicking ass and taking names later and then a beautiful love connection. lol This book was filled with just the right amount of action and I really liked the way Meliantha was able to figure out her own path and "defeat" the sorcerer in the end. Kalen and Meliantha was beautiful and i can't wait to hear more about them in future books.. So let's get writing Miss. Dover. =)

Characters: Princess Meliantha & Prince Kalen

Page Turner: Yes

Series Cont: Yes, But not soon enough! lol

Recommend: Yes! Yes! Yes!!

Side Note: I really loved that the heroine was a "weakling" ( character's own words ) , but was able to turn herself around into an amazing woman. We need more books with main characters like her.

Betrayals of Spring by L. P. Dover

Rating 5*****

This book was provided from the author in exchange for honest literary review.

Ok, so I opened this book very skeptical. I fell in total love with Calista and Ryder. I really didn't think that Mel's story would be anywhere near as good. I will admit I was very, very wrong.
Now, I am in love with the Fall Court. Mel and Kalen went through it I tell you. Between hexes, cursed jewels, and a smorgasbord of fae creatures it seemed as if once and for all that nasty wretched dark wizard was going to win. I can't tell you what happened, but I will say that I was hollering a lot at these characters.
Characterization is superb. The plot literally grabs your attention ruthlessly from the first page. I seriously don't know hoe she can top this one, but then again I said that about book 1. This is seriously one amazing series. I still can't believe that this is only her second book ever......

Totally off The charts recommended read for mature readers for steamy scenes with drooling involved......

*I received this book for R2R

The second installment of Forever Fae allows us to follow Meliantia and Kalen through their journey to make their own court. The story begins with Meliantia meeting with Kalen after the party for Ryder and Calista, in which she yearns to touch his skin to see if they are destined to be together. Even though things seem off with Kalen, Meliantia is infatuated. While reading the begining of this story you feel her heart ache as nothing happens when she toughes Kalen and he gives her a necklace anyway for basically being a good sport. Like in the first book in this series the evil sorcerer Alasdair, who unbeknownst to Meliantia is inhabiting Kalen's body. As we follow these two characters through the book we deal with the struggle between good and evil, and the battle to win and keep the love of your life. L.P. Dover doesn't disappoint with this story and as always leaves you wanting more.

WoW..... Well my first thought is to let you all know that Betrayal of Spring is much darker than Forever Fae, we find ourselves back in the wondrous world that L.P Dover has magically created with Kalen and Meliantha.
Meliantha isn't the sweet, soft caring girl we left in Forever Fae this Meliantha isn't someone you want to mess with or underestimate as she surpasses all challenges that are thrown her way. I must admit at the start of reading Betrayal of Spring I was extremely angry, Alasdair is much more evil, his twisted mind just keeps getting worse as the book continues that I wanted to crawl into the pages and hunt him down myself. The emotions that are brought out in you while reading is fantastic not only are the characters going through them, but you are going through them right with characters. A MUST READ as ever L.P Dover has out did herself once again keep up the amazing work. I know I can't wait for more of you talented written magically work :) .

Oh, my gosh! This forever fae series is amazing! I read the first in the series and hoped to know more about Kalen and Meliantha. Betrayals of Spring definitely let me know more!

It is set five years after the first book. I like that it didn't just pick up because we got to see what's happening with Calista and Ryder. The dark sorcerer is once again up to no good, causing all sorts of issues with The Four. The journey Meliantha must go on in order to get her happily ever after is full of surprises and turns you can't see coming. Kalen is a wonderful character that makes you fall in love with him over and over again, just like big brother Ryder.

I absolutely LOVED the ending! I can't wait to read the next book! Ariella will be fun to learn about and I'm excited to find out more details about the ending of Betrayals of Spring.

I love L.P. Dover!

I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I really adore the world and characters that Dover is creating. Like the first book, this one sucked me in and kept me entertained till the end.

I feel like I am struggling to give my review though, because so much of my feelings relate as they did to the first. I feel like she has grown as a writer since book one, but still felt like I was reading a simplified dialogue with some naughty bits thrown in. I am sure that Dovers skill will only increase, and I will be there with her reading along and offering support.

She has so much room to grow, and I am glad to be here watching her bloom. I look forward to the next installment of her tale. =)

Once again I am in aww over L.P. Dover's writings. She did just what I wanted and stepped it up in the hot and steamy category. It was the perfect mix of love, sex and tragedy. I hated having to put the book down for daily life stuff, but I was right back at it when I had a chance. The characters have great personalities, strong, funny, passionate and determined. The creativity of the other fae creatures and there connections to the story were wonderful and descriptive. Just like the first book, this story is written in different POV and it is easy to determine who is saying what. Being able to see everything from the different angles helps fit everything together.
Thank you L.P. Dover for another Amazing story and I can't wait for book 3.

I am a sucker for book series, as a matter of fact I hardly ever read a book if it is not a part of series. The really cool thing Dover has managed to is you could read this book before reading the first book and not be lost. You will obviously have to read the fourth book last but all the books could be read in any order really.

I love the Fae twist on these books. Mel loves those close to her so deeply that she almost get herself killed. I do miss Kalen being the jokester. He was so serious for the most part of this book. I understand that he was suppose to be broken hearted, but I lost who he was in the the book. I am excited to see where this series will go.

My heart is overflowing with love after reading this book! Meliantha & Kalen would go to the end of the earth to find, save, & be with one another! They were put through some hard times & still managed to come back to each other, now that's TRUE LOVE! I loved Meliantha & Kalen's story, just as much as Calista & Ryder's!!! If there were more stars for rating I would still give them all!! Whoever is not reading this series is missing out!
I can't wait for Summer of Frost! (love the name)

Oh yeah, I want to make my own court or just join one!!

LP Dover continues to build on her fantastic world in book two of the Forever Fae series. The book allows you to escape to a different place where things are really tough, but they seem to work out. I enjoyed the way she continued to build on her characters, but Forever Fae will forever be my favorite.

Betrayals of Spring (Forever Fae Series Book 2)

Great job. Another one I had trouble putting down. The 2cd couple of the four finally got to enjoy their love after numerous attempts and triumphs of the dark sorcerer. Who's next Drake or Sorcha? Guess it's on to the next one . I hope that is as good as the last two.
