Do you know the feeling when you're on a diet, but you're walking through a candy story and find yourself surrounded by delicious chocolates? If you give in and tell yourself to 'f*uck it', stuffing your mouth with chocolate, then you pretty much know my feelings for this series :-)
I love fantasy literature. However, this series is so far from serious fantasy literature as Kim Kardashian is from winning the Nobel prize. Still, it is absolutely delicious for my m/m romance loving heart!
These angels are simply adorable. They're hot, muscled, caring and protecting. I'm a tiny bit thrown off by the fact that they seem to be drawn to Madigan's scent - which has me think of werewolves - but other than that, I love everything about their relationship à six. It's totally funny how the sex scenes usually have them split up in clusters as a scene with all of them involved is quite a mind-boggling read. Still, the few scenes à six that we do get are absolutley amazing :-)
This is the first book (since the very beginning, actually) that has some serious plot (!) action. Madigan and his angels are still dealing with the issue that nephilim (half human/half angel children) are considered 'abominations' by certain groups of angels in Heaven.
And interestingly, the Creator is silent on the subject, so each group interprets this as support of their own causes.
Anyway, while Madigan and his men thought they could finally relax and start planning a HUGE wedding, a war is brewing. And Madigan's warrior angels might have to risk their lives once again for their beloved nephilim.
Sigh, awesome!

At the beginning,this book was quite tedious.But After Madigan transformed,it felt better.
I love to see how this series would have ended.I have my eyes on Az all the way absolutely ! His character made me squirm.

February 10, 20192/10/2019 ETA: I feel it’s necessary to add that this series/serial was never finished. The end of book five says the conclusion/resolution of the story would be in book 6. There is no book 6. I feel anyone starting this serial should know that in advance. I would have appreciated knowing before I started, so start the serial at your own risk.

I was intrigued to see how the author would handle a relationship between six men. From what I can tell, she handled it as well as anyone else might. But the thing is, six men is just too damn many to keep track of. Still, the story was somewhat interesting.

Madigan finds that just as he is settling into his new life with his lovers Cross, Bren, Yuri, Michel and Dex in Sanctuary that it isn’t going to be as peaceful as he had hoped. Azrael is stepping up his game and bringing war to Urun, Madigan has his powers awakened and he has one week for his lovers to train him and to amass an army to fight the hunters… oh and to marry his incredible men.
This is a great continuation of the His Guardian Angels series where we see Madigan get his dream wedding. Madigan and his guys are happy in Urun the Sanctuary town and they are all finally beginning to relax, they are opening their bakery and planning their wedding, but Madigan gets a visit from his father who has some dire news and Madigan and his men have a lot more on their plate than worrying about seating arrangements. Madigan has a lot to face and accept and he has a week to do it in, with the support of his lovers can he become the Nephilim that everyone needs.
I really enjoyed this story, although, to be honest with you Jana Downs has completely ruined the Conga Line for me… never again will I be able to do the Conga or watch a Conga Line without remembering this book. The story evolves as we go along and we discover that Azrael has targeted Madigan for a reason, Ooohhh Azrael, Madigan’s gonna spank your arse!! The Archangels are taken to task which shocks all who hear and the Archangels finally have to take sides. There is a huge amount of steaming hot sex through-out the book and I am surprised that any of them ever get out of bed they must be so worn out ;-).
The characters are all great and I really liked the fact that we saw more of Azrael and discover some of why he has upped the stakes, we see Levi, Eric and Marius briefly and we see Madigan’s friends from the first book. Madigan has trouble controlling his expanding powers, and I really want to find out the extent of them… so Madigan mature quicker!
I am recommending this one to those who love Angels, Nephilim, Archangels, danger, conflict, really hot varied sex and a great ending for our guys.

This series is really starting to kick off now! I can not wait for the next instalment, m not giving an in depth review because you should read it yourself and i dont want to ruins it lol.
I love the world thats been created in this series and the other angel series thats running along side this one.

I bought this series as part of a big sale Siren Publishing had a few months ago. I stupidly didn’t think to check that the series was completed, and after reading 4.5 books, realized it wasn’t and rage quit the 5th book. I loved the premise of the series – the half-human son of Archangel Raphael is coming of age and his life is threatened by the hunters lead by Azrael, who hunt down nephilim (half-angels). Raphael asks his other 4 archangel brothers for a warrior to act as guardian for Madigan and bing bang boom – the best way to protect him is for all the guardians to wed Madigan. It also helps that angel puberty happens at 28, and surprise! Madigan just turned 28. So he’s horny all the time and the guardians are more than happy to fulfill his needs.
There were some plot holes, some continuity issues, and a few other things that didn’t make total sense, but sometimes you just need a fun, rompy series full of angels and half-angels banging it out in the name of staying alive. The series couldn’t have ended on a bigger cliffhanger and I’m SO DISAPPOINTED that it was never finished. If I’d have purchased this series at full price, it would’ve been $27.50 for 499 pages and an incomplete series, and a series that is 11+ years old at that!
