A really good little known book about drawing. To the point, bullshit free, pretty good on the "learning how to learn" part, too. It also features a useful list of general exercises to avoid the "I want to draw but I don't know what" moments.

If you need a recap of some fundamentals try this one. The author gives it away for free on a popular art forum, look for it if you want to take a peek first.
