Generations have passed since the Colony Board ordered the outpost on Hobb's End to be abandoned, but not all of the scientists chose to leave.

Now, their descendants struggle to keep the illicit colony going as their population dwindles and the moon's already harsh climate undergoes a dramatic shift.

But not all of Hobb's End's secrets have been buried under its new mantle of ice, and suddenly the long absent government has a reason to ask questions.

This is a futuristic novel with a very strong female lead, and a very surprising ending (which actually is the beginning). Chapel Ward is a ward of the state, and goes through less than legal channels to leave an overcrowded Earth as a mail order bride to a colonist. She's discovers she's a widow as soon as she arrives, and is held prisoner by a character reminiscent of an Irish gangster in early chicago. She uncovers a world below the surface, and every chapter had an intriguing twist. I love this author, although she needs to find new proofreaders and editors, because there were quite a few typos and grammatical errors. otherwise, it's pretty perfect

This was an incredibly unique read! I could not put it down. The author had me hooked right from the beginning. Chapel is a mail order bride except in this case she is sent to another planet. Once she is on the planet she finds that her husband has died and she is basically kept in hiding from the native population. There is a mystery here that she is determined to find out what it is. The book is highly addictive. This is the second novel I have read by Aimee Love. I am loving this author. I look forward to reading her third book.
