Unputdownable. So beautiful and poetic. Gonida's words bring the divine escapism of the Marathi saint culture to life. The love of nature, the love of Konkan, stoic approach to life. Full of love and so much to learn. A magnum-opus material but Padghavali exists.

A girl learns bhajans since her childhood from her father & grows up listening to fascinating stories of god & devotion of different saints towards almighty, it becomes her world & a centre of her dedication. The book brings out old religious thought of advaita, getting to a level in life where there is no distinction between almighty & us, our body, mind, thoughts are all devoted to him with no desires, the one who achieves this stage of permananda becomes the closed one to god, mrunmayee aka Manu in this story achieves it through her devotion. a well known book by author & a famous character of Manu leaves behind its own imprints in readers mind.
