Because Whitney's own life that is suddenly on the line. Because someone nearby thinks she knows too much...
Just like Sawyer's other books, Kiss of Death is just as absorbing from beginning to end. Narration changes between characters and we learn more about the story from their angle. This adds depth to the book and makes it well-rounded. Overall, this was an enjoyable read. Great depth, characters, and plot. The identity of the culprit(s) keeps the reader guessing but not really worthwhile in the end because the action at the end of the story is just in the last few pages as in Sawyer's other books; it's not extended as it should be. Still, this book is riveting and I suggest you all give it a try. 3.5/5 stars.
perhaps it is due to my advanced age--just had another birthday--but with this book I found that i was having trouble keeping the three couples who are characters straight as to who was who.
the plot was interesting, and i had never heard the term "pet concierge," which i have already managed to work into a conversation. this was a book sale purchase, but i might try another meryl sawyer to see if it is more plausible.
Yet another excellent book by Meryl Sawyer! I figured out pieces/parts along the way but did not see the end coming. What I enjoy most about MS's writing (other than the romance) is her ability to take seemingly unconnected events and weave them into a cohesive story. Her style reminds me a lot of Sandra Brown, whom I also love. The plot clipped along and the characters were well-defined. Good combo of romance and suspense.
A very interesting story line. I really enjoyed it, but it seemed to drag on and on in some parts of the story. Over all...it is a good read, it would be a great beech read .
