Evelyn Fredericksen was previously Historian at Blizzard Entertainment's Creative Development team. She worked on developing and maintaining the lore of all Blizzard games, books and various other media, alongside Chris Metzen when he was still part of the company. She also wrote short stories for World of Warcraft. Fredericksen left the company in 2016 to become Game Designer at Six Foot.

this book is available to read for free from the Blizzard website, it is awkward to read from the website so i would suggest buying the ebook World of Warcraft: Paragons, it is £4.99 for a lot of these short stories from different authors. on the website, it is only 3 pages long and so is very short.

the story follows Kel'Thuzad on his journey getting exiled from the Kirin Tor and heading off to Icecrown to learn from the Lich King.
