With her gorgeous coffee-and-cream complexion, long black hair, and a winning smile, April Mitchell-Bradford has the capacity to brighten up any room she enters. Everybody who knows her loves her--except her husband, Daryl. After years of putting on the facade of a happy marriage, April goes outside of her marriage to find the love she's never known but always felt like she deserved. When her sordid affair results in a pregnancy, Darryl wants to kill her, and her husband's girlfriend can't wait to take her place. So who's to blame when April is found murdered in cold blood?
There used to be a time when no matter how bad I thought a book was, I would continue to read it. Maybe thinking it would somehow turn itself around and become good? Maybe I shouldn't rate this book. I didn't finish it. The story isn't told in any sort of sequence and lacks any sort of cohesion. I didn't care who killed the wife. There was no element of suspense and the characters weren't developed.
This is the first time I'm reading this author work and I thought this was a great book. The characters were descriptive, pretty thoroughly and well defined with excitement that led in-depth shocking and twisted backgrounds.
I automatically felt disappointed and disgust for Daryl Bradford. I wanted him to go to jail for his crude and voliently actions towards his wife, April.
The book was okay it could have been better with less obscenities. For a bit it was a bit repetitive but overall a good story I was not pleased with the ending in that it went on to talk about a character in depth when he was not the focus. I did read it to the end and understood the villains though process although it was extreme but where marriage and infidelity are things like this and worse can and do happen.
The book was a very inlighting book, keep me reading.I just had to see who really was the person to blame. we are reading this book for our book club come join us and less have a good book talk, then you will know what i am talking about when i said who really to blame.
This book was okay. It kept my interest and I really wanted to find out who the killer was. I didn't care for all the profanity and I thought it could've been put together better. But overall it was an okay read.
I found this book browsing a bookstore in Nassau, Bahamas called Buy the Book. I don't normally read mysteries, but this one I could not put down, and I was very shocked by the end. I will be looking for more books from this author
