Coco Simon always dreamed of opening a cupcake bakery, but she’s afraid she would eat all the profits. When she’s not daydreaming about cupcakes, Coco edits children’s books and has written close to 100 books for children, tweens, and young adults, which is a lot less than the number of cupcakes she’s eaten. Cupcake Diaries is the first time Coco has mixed her love of cupcakes with writing.

This book was awesome! I enjoyed this book because I related to Mia so much. I have glasses and will need braces in a couple years so I know how she feels. I know that people will make fun of you for your needs such as glasses or braces or even if you have an illness that gives you unique attributes. I'm glad she stood up for herself an didn't let Olivia boss her around and that's important. I will reread this book again. I recommend for ages 6+.

This installment of "The Cupcake Diaries" series actually poses an interesting scenario. What happens when a girl brimming with self-confidence starts to feel differently? Mia has never cared about the way people looked at her and what anyone said, but admits to herself that this is true because she's always been pretty, well-dressed and well cared for. When she is forced to get braces (the clear kind) and glasses (which she discovers are quite fashionable) in the span of a few weeks, her steely self-confidence wavers. Luckily for Mia, she has the three most supportive friends in the universe (seriously, the lengths they go to in order to back her feel better, over and over again, are a little extreme), an encouraging family and enough confidence inside herself to bounce back to being plain old Mia, now with braces and glasses.

I recently just finished this book, like maybe a week ago. These Cupcake Club series are a little easy for me but I still like them. So Mia is a total fashionista- but she finds out that she has to get glasses AND braces!!!!!! She's crushed, until her awesome mom who is a fashion expert tells her that glasses can really be fashionable, and that Mia can get clear braces. Things start to turn around for Mia, but disasters do happen. Meanwhile, the Cupcake Club has to think of an awesome design for their cupcakes for the school festival. But they're stumped! Will they come up with a design just in time? And will the cupcakes actually help Mia think a little bit more about her new look? Read this book to find out!

When a visit to the dentist determines that Mia needs braces, and then a teacher notices that she can’t read the board and recommends a trip to the eye doctor Mia is afraid that everyone will notice and won't think she's a fashionista anymore. Can her cupcake club friends help her realize that friends love you no matter what you look like? Part of the Cupcake Diaries Series (#14) Mia learns some lessons, helps other kids and they sell cupcakes. A nice read, especially if you have the other 13.

My favorite little series about the cupcakers was a really cute one. I think that I like Mia the best. I always find her stories really sincere and sweet. In this one, she has to deal with getting braces and wearing glasses. The series deals with different changes in a young girls life without getting too heavy-handed. The stories are very relatable and without being to sugary (pardon the pun).

If I had to get braces and glasses... I will be screaming!
But Mia is much much better and she was brave about getting braces and glasses.
Her friends were nice to take out the linse and wore their without linse glasses so Mia would feel better... way better!

Emma finds out she needs braces and she is scared luckily there are clear braces which she wants to get. With the help of Alexis, she convinces her dad to pay them but, in class, she can't the board of equations. She needs glasses and then Callie asks for mia's help on choosing............
