Seven Deadly Sins Vol. 2: Pride; Wrath

Rate this book
The sinning doesn’t stop—volumes three and four in a scandalous series are now available in one book.

Harper and Kane got what they wanted, but there was a price to pay. Adam and Beth might not know why their relationship fell apart, but that doesn’t mean they won’t find out. And Kaia isn’t quite finished stirring up trouble, even if she has some other issues to deal with.

Meanwhile, Miranda has a plan of her own. After everything that’s happened, she’s done with games.

There’s only one way this can end—and not everyone can win.

Where there’s Pride, there’s Wrath, and no one is safe from sin…

Seven Deadly Sins Vol. 2 Pride, Wrath Review

Book Rating: 5 stars out of 5.

Story Line: 5 stars out of 5. This book got really hot and heavy. I wasn't expecting a lot of the events that happened to happen. Let's just say in the beginning Harper and Kane got what they wanted. Kane was now dating Beth and Adam was now dating Harper. Kaia was still with her teacher, but she also found someone that she was truly falling in love with. Miranda was still obsessed with Kane, but she decided to try online dating. A lot of things happened in these two books that you wouldn't expect. There were moments that still made me laugh, made me angry, and mad me sad. I really loved the drama. I feel you can learn a lot of life lessons from these books. The ending really was unexpected so it made me want to read on to the next book.

Characters: 4.5 stars out of 5. Harper really got what she had coming to her. She's not my favorite character. Actually she is the worst character in the book. She got what she wanted and in the end she lost it all. She lost the only person that truly loved her. I say she deserved it. What she did was horrible. She didn't think that Adam was going to find out what she did. Well he did and she had to suffer the repercussions. She didn't grow. She really didn't. She was still the horrible person that she was in the first two books. Maybe by the end of the series she will be okay, but I highly doubt it. Now the ending of the book was her fault...

Adam was still my favorite throughout this whole book. I really wish he hadn't been with Harper. He suffered so much because of her actions. I was happy for him when he figured out the kind of person she was. He even can't be friends with Kane because he had betrayed him. He got even with Kane. I don't normally promote violence...but in this case Kane deserved it. Adam was still a sweetie pie. He was angry through most of book 4 but, that was to be expected.

Kane was still full of himself. He thought he was the best, but no. He's not anything special. He was surprising at some points in these books. He was just annoying through most of it. I can't stand anyone who thinks they can be high and mighty. He completely got what he deserved through these two books.

Miranda was still cool. I like her a lot more than Harper. She may be Harper's best friend, but she was still used by her. It wasn't right. I understand why Miranda was so angry. Harper made her think she wasn't good enough. Miranda still thought she was ugly, but she tried to have more self esteem. I hope that she eventually realizes that she is too good for Kane. Kane would never deserve her.

Beth was a lot better in this book than the first two. I loved that she was trying to change herself. I liked her a lot more in these two books than I did in the first two. She wasn't completely controlling or anything. She wanted revenge against Harper, Kaia, and Kane. That made complete sense. They did hurt her badly. No one should have to go through what she went through. Some of her decisions surprised me though.

Kaia certainly changed in this novel. She knew she was falling for Reed Sawyer. He was definitely better than the man she was seeing. I felt like you actually got to know and understand her better in these two books. She actually showed her feelings instead of hiding them away. I was really worried about her at a few points in this book...and the ending....

I loved Reed! He was sweet! I really loved his personality! I really wish he was in the first two books more than he was. I liked the love between him and Kaia...it was really sweet. She may not have treated him that well, but he always treated her well!

No favorite quotes from these novels.

Writing Style: 5 stars out of 5. Addicting. Truly addicting. Read this one a lot faster than I did the other one. (Mostly because I wasn't sick!) I love her simple writing style!

What a way to dive right into the second volume of this sizzling series.

So the story starts off a couple months after the last book, where inevitably, Harper and Adam are now together, and Beth and Kane are a couple as well. You get a sense in this novel that they are all publicly in love with who they are, but behind closed doors there is some sort of tension going on.

I do get that old habits die hard when it comes to some of the characters.

Kaia has always been a mystery, and I get the feeling that she is really hiding something big about her.

When it comes to the characters, I feel like Beth and Adam are more suited for each other as well as Kane and Harper. You can see that they both have their own issues, but overall they compliment each other.

Overall I really liked this book, and towards the middle and more in the end we dive into some mystery, which I really liked. Robin Wasserman is a great author, and I really like her writing style.

this is laughably terrible. the final volume will be a struggle and i'm only gonna read it because at one time in my life i bought it with like a 10% off coupon and that wasn't enough of a discount for me to buy it without reading it.

The second volume contains book 3 and 4: Pride and Wrath.
So Pride starts off with Kane and Beth together, Adam and Harper together and Kaia got what she wanted and Miranda is completely miserable.
Pride is mostly because these 4 players (the couples) are angry with each other and unable to forgive. Of course relationships build on lies tend to unravel, which ultimately happens at the end of the book.
Resulting of course in wrath, the need for revenge. All the characters want revenge on one person or another. All have different reasons to want it.
And it's all good and well, until someone dies. Who it is will not be revealed until the next book.

Again a sweet indulgence for me, but honestly if you want to shield your teenagers for a lot of sex, drugs and more promiscuity, don't let them read this series. I would recommend it more for young adults than teens.
