30 Most Convincing Cases of Reincarnation

Rate this book
In your hands is a book which dares to suggest that after reading it you will no longer be the same person as you are now, at least as far as your outlook on life is concerned. At the end of the year 2000, reincarnation has finally been proven. The famous psychiatrist Professor Ian Stevenson M.D. has scientifically proven that reincarnation is a fact. A number of case histories substantiate this claim. Some of these have come from children and adults who remembered their past lives, their memories later having been proven to be accurate. Others were retrieved by means of regression techniques. The interest in reincarnation is growing yearly. Today we no longer need to believe in it, since reincarnation has been scientifically proven, just as the law of gravity was proven some time ago. We are now able to know that it is possible to return to earth repeatedly. What was until recently a belief for millions of people has now been discovered to be the truth.

Certainly not the best book on the subject but OK for a starter.

The author trying too hard to insist it's most convincing after every story takes away most of the charm. It's a good entertaining read and makes you wanna read more detailed proof on the subject but as to whether it convinces you, it didn't do it for me. But it let me think more on the topic, which is a win-win.

I love the information and the investigation about each case, it was the first time that I knew about pemonitory dreams in reincarnation cases. The only thing that was a little bit annoying was the warnings to the readers, it was unnecesary and lame. If I didn't want to read something related at this topic, I'd avoid reading it, right?

I picked up this book amused by the fact that it claims "that after reading it you will no longer be the same person as you are now, at least as far as your outlook on life is concerned"

And, I was quite taken aback, when in the introduction itself the author claims that reincarnation has been proven scientifically, by various research methodologies.

To say about the structure of the book, after a short introduction the author gives a few case studies of children having their past life memories and too-wise-for-age behavior and reuniting with the previous birth families. Then he accounts for adults who my specific incidents or person or place, regaining their previous life memories. Further the author purports to explain, how these memories can be triggered in controlled environment using hypnosis and regression therapies. Then he claims that the unexplainable birth marks and nonhereditary birth defects are due to reincarnation and relates few fascinating case
studies.Whether one chooses to believe or not, the cases studies are quite fascinating and entertaining, especially those in which, the love-at-first-sights turned out to be trans-birth relationships.

He even goes to the extent that one's phobias and talents might be carried from the previous birth. Then he refers to another professor's life work and thesis on this reincarnation which is supposed to have photographic and accurate records of people reincarnated. Then he concludes saying what fascinated and ideal changes would come about when everyone started believing in reincarnation, which in my opinion, is quite farfetched.

That being said, there are the following points to be pondered.
- Most of the accounts are second hand narrations from the author and hence i don't consider 100 % credible
- And there seems to be no recent cases that could be verified
- The thought that whatever we do, is pee-programmed from previous birth or by the so-called karma is quite mocking and shocking to my belief that everyone's life and the decisions involving the same are taking with careful intuition and intelligence.
- Most of the cases have not occurred in the past and hence cannot be readily verified

Personally, unless someone I know reincarnates or i get the memories from my past birth I choose not to believe.

Now to the question as to whether this book had changed the person I was...
No and Yes.
No because it did not make be believe in reincarnation 100% and
Yes because it got me thinking deeply about the very subject that I'm even curious to look up for a regression therapist ;-)

Like i said before, one could enjoy this book irrespective of their stance with respect to reincarnating
