This story is perfect. What Amie Barrodale does is deceptively simple & pure. There's a lot going on underneath her short, clipped sentences. I felt a lot for her narrator & his salad-eating-in-bed life. Reminds me of Joy Williams, Denis Johnson, Ottessa Moshfegh, etc.
