Aberdeen, the Echo of the Earth Tribe from the unknown past, appears before Keira Ponto persuading her to reverse the Black Crystal's corruption upon the government. Keira, a competitive, conflicted thief, is destined to be the one to bring the White Crystal (the Black's counter part) back into existence. Keira falls into the depths of the communistic government by finding out the connection between the crystals and her little sister's disappearance, along with that of many other children. The Echoes are a reflection of a major event that happened in the past, one that changed our world and Keira's world. Is Aberdeen the only Echo that will assist Keira down the path that her murdered older brother, Adam, already knew about?

This author has an imagination that blows the mind. The concept of this story is so unique but I had some trouble with all the POV switches.
