All of these cookie recipes are unique and cover a vast variety of ingredients!!! I'm so lucky to have found this cookbook for free on Amazon!!! My only complaint is that not all of the recipes had pictures of what the completed recipe should look like. However, a few recipes did have a picture of the completed recipe. I'm excited to try out all the recipes involving cherries as a ingredient!!!
Lots of good cookies 🍪🍪🍪🍪 here! Half of my family is vegan and lots of these recipes are vegan friendly or easily adaptable. My only criticism is I wanted some history or explanation about how some of the cookies got their names.
I have this book 5stars because it contains easy to follow instructions. The prefix was very informative. A good read or gift for someone just learning how to bake!
This is a really good book with a lot of different cookie recipes. Very well organized. I look forward to trying out a lot more recipes from this book.
Cookie Indulgence – Bonnie Scott – They are probably my favorite things to bake, and I love having ideas for something different! Happy Baking and Reading!
. Oatmeal No Bake Cookies, Easy No Bake Brownies, No Bake Peanut Butter Bars and the No Bake Chocolate Crunch Bars. I used these for a last minute family get together before Halloween, the A/C was out at my house and I was beginning to think Autumn would never make an appearance. I was to provide desserts and even with the windows open it was still over 90 degrees in my kitchen. I wanted to use my stove and oven as little as possible. The other cookie recipes are equally delicious and I used many of them, but I have never made no bake cookies before and I was surprised how tasty they truly were.
If cookies are your go to snack this is a must have for those late nights when it is too late to go to the store, but you really are craving an oatmeal raisin or a gooey chocolate chip. Check it out and indulge.
There is a special reason that this book received one star from me. It is not for the recipes which are pretty unusual and I will def. make some of them. This book appears to get stuck halfway through and repeats the same recipes...almost in a loop.
Although I gave this book one star, if this problem is corrected, I would probably increase my rating. Again, the one star is not for the recipes.
ETA: I found when I redownloaded the book, the issue was corrected! As I stated above, I knew that I would love this cookbook and I did. This book, not only has some cool recipes, but some really unusual recipes as well that I will LOVE baking!! Recipes are laid out easily and simply for even the most novice baker. For me as an advanced baker, I loved that there were some unusual recipes that I can WOW family and friends with. There is just something for everyone! So, issues corrected, that is why my rating went from 1 star to 5 stars.
I love to buy fresh baked cookies from the bakery, but it does get expensive. So to save money I sometimes use the store bought cookie dough so that I can have that same warm gooie taste for my cookie. It normally does not taste as good. Then I received this book for free from BookBub.com and I opened it up right away. I scanned through the book and read all the tips to having a wonderful cookie. I actually made my list went to the store and made my favorite Chocolate Chip Cookies and Sugar Cookies. My cookies came out beautiful. They were all the same size and evenly cooked through. In the beginning of the book the author shares their tips. I was able to make for the first time ever Macaroons and they were so yummy. I am going to use this book over and over again. Escpecially for Christmas I will be able to share my favorite recipes with all my friends and family. Thank you Bonnie Scott for such a great book, and thank you BookBub for my free book.
While it's always nice to have more recipes on hand, and free e-books are a good bargain, I should have known better than to get a cookbook, e-book. 99% of the recipes here can be found through simple web searches (which is probably why the book was free). If you don't have 24/7 access to the internet, and you enjoy baking cookies, this is a great bargain. But if you're living in the real world with the rest of us, save your time, and google the recipes instead. Or better yet, spend your time reading the reviews of similar recipes on Allrecipes.com so that you know what changes you should make to each cookie batch before you attempt them on your own.
A really comprehensive book of cookie recipes, a few unusual ones as well as those you would expect, and for that it deserves four stars. However this would , for me, be so much better with photos. The little illustrations between chapters are really cute but an illustration of the finished article, at least for some recipes, would make all the difference.
The recipes are wonderful and the tips at the beginning of the book are helpful. The suggestions for making your cookies look professional are easy to follow. The variety of recipes range from traditional to unusual, at least ten different chocolate chip recipes and 1 for pork and beans cookies. Enjoy
You'll be baking up a storm when you get your hands on this. WARNING: Have a tissue handy when you're looking through the table of contents because you'll need something to catch the saliva falling out of your mouth!
It will be hard to choose which ones to bake, but since it's near Halloween the Pumpkin chip cookie sounds like a winner. Anyone who wants cookie recipes would like this book.
Love the suggestions at the beginning of the book for mixing and choosing ingredients. The Pumpkin Chocolate Chip are my favorite so far. I like having the recipes on my Kindle app. for easy access.
