What if everything you think you want isn't what you actually need...

Dr. Shelly Monroe is a woman who doesn't shy away from going after what she wants, but lately good sex has been hard to find. Shelly's become increasingly frustrated with the men she's been dating and the men she believes are the right choice.

Joshua Daniels is certainly not even close to the right choice. In fact he is exactly the wrong choice. For one thing, he's Mason Langley's best friend and best man. Second he's too much of a risky complication for Shelly to even consider.

Then why can't she stop thinking about how delicious he looked that first night she met him at Exquisite? Why is it so imperative to keep her lusty desire for a man that doesn’t meet her preconceived mold hidden from Lena and Mason, her trusted friends?

It seems unreasonable that being with a man completely wrong in theory could somehow feel so right. Then why is it the more she sees him the more enticing he becomes?

4.5 enticing stars.

Josh has a doggie! Er...the doggie's physical appearance is pretty impressive. :)

Even though Josh is wearing jeans all the time he cleans up nicely:

First of all let me say something about my rating. Overall I loved Entice. It's a wonderful, witty, steamy and at times very hilarious sequel to Exquisite. Loved the snappy dialogue! I found myself smiling and laughing all the time and I was pleasantly surprised when the light-hearted and funny story took a turn into serious and emotional waters. And my sexy Mason made Entice even more enjoyable. With that said, I'm very happy that he played a major supporting role in this story. While the first third of Entice was absolutely fantastic (even better than Exquisite) and made me fall in love with the characters and the plot, I have to admit that the part between 57 % and 92 % could not quite live up to my very high expectations. Granted, the finalissima was very lovely and inspiring and However, I was not happy when Shelly had to jump to conclusions after After all, it's quite a long process, however, I felt it dragged a little bit too much. All things considered I will be upgrading my rating of Exquisite to five straight stars. Oh, and Mason stays above and beyond... :) Also, I'm looking forward to reading Rachel's story. Stuffy guy meets crazy gal. Now that's going to be interesting, that's for sure!

After getting rid of her lazy boyfriend, Shelly made a promise to herself. No man will ever use her again. She only wanted to date men from now on who could give her what she needed. She didn't want to provide for a man anymore.

Enter Josh Daniels, owner of Creative Construction and Remolding Co. Josh moved back to Chicago after he broke things off with his girlfriend a couple of months ago. He is on his way to his friend's restaurant Exquisite. Mason Langley and Josh went to school and college together. When Josh arrives at Mason's restaurant, he is in for a surprise in the form of high-maintenance man-eater, Dr. Shelly Monroe.

At the same time Shelly's best friend Lena is trying to set her up with Josh. But Shelly is shocked and declines immediately. However, as soon as Mason introduces her to Josh…

"Josh, this is Dr. Shelly Monroe, and that gorgeous woman over there is my doctor, Lena." Mason paused, and then looked back to Shelly. "This is my non-balding friend, Josh Daniels."

…she is intrigued and can't deny their mutual attraction. And Shelly does not lose precious time and provides a specimen of her bold behavior right away.

"Not an ounce of fat either," Shelly whispered seductively.

Mason intends to hire his friend for a renovation project. Josh accepts and from there on it's obvious that Josh and Shelly will see each other again.

"Dr. Monroe," he said in a voice that licked all over her naughty bits. "So nice to see you again."
Gripping her purse in one hand and Paul in the other like he was her lifeline, she answered, "You, too. Still no bald patches, I see."
Shelly watched as a wolfish grin appeared on his mouth. "Not since the last time I checked. Would you like a closer look?"

It's needless to say that their chemistry and sexual tension is irresistible. Josh is surprised when Shelly presents him an outrageous offer. She wants to make a deal. Shelly is not looking for a commitment or a happily ever after. All she wants is hot, sweaty, back-scratching sex. In fact, she only wants casual sex without any strings attached. After all, you can have fabulous sex without getting involved, can't you?

"I've wanted you since the moment I turned around in Mason's bar. Happy?"
(…)
"I'm horny, not happy. You're f@cking sexy that all the blood in my body is in my c@ck. But you already know that because you keep aiming your eyes down there to check."

 photo Bildschirmfoto2012-12-16um002611_zps398f1e4a.png

 photo Bildschirmfoto2012-11-27um211135.png

Taking his hand from the back of her neck, he turned them so his back was to the club, and she was shielded from any eyes. It also gave her the opportunity to see if anyone was coming.
Well, anyone other than us.
"Well then, now that you have me here and your hands are down my pants, what are you going to do with me?"
(…)
"I'm going to keep my hands down your pants, and you need to get this hand up my skirt."
(…)
He took a breath and asked, "And when all is in hand?"
She smiled in a way that made him think she'd just devoured him.
"Then we come all over each other."

Later on, Shelly invites Josh to go on a road trip with her.

 photo tumblr_mbzhyucC1X1rgfiw2o1_250_zps802f0c3c.gif

They are traveling to Savannah, Georgia, to visit Shelly's parents. While traveling down South Josh gets to know a different Shelly, the Georgia Shelly. This Shelly is relaxed and casual, still sexy but in a more approachable way. Although when they arrive at her parents' home, Shelly is tensing up and it's quite evident that things are not always what they seem…

He thought about what Shelly had just told him and wondered what he was going to witness this weekend. Before he turned away, he brought the penny up to his mouth, closed his eyes, and made a wish. Then he kissed the penny and tossed it into the fountain.

 photo Bildschirmfoto2013-01-26um165945_zps56a88581.png

If you have read Exquisite then you know already that Ella writes great and steamy sex scenes. And she sure delivers again with Entice! When these two come together (pun intended) you want to combust along the way.

 photo 352019_600.gif

Even though Shelly wanted only casual sex, she embarks upon a journey of finding true and unconditional love. As a matter of fact, you cannot control love. Sometimes you will find love in places where you least expect it. Along the way she has to deal with painful memories and new revelations. Also, she has to make a decision.

"Take a chance, Shel. I'm not going to hurt you, use you, or take any part of you for granted."
(…)
"It's clouding nothing," he told her, cupping her face again. He lowered his mouth to hers. "It's stripping you bare, and I'm falling for you so hard that I can feel the scrapes on my knees as I'm brought to them.(…)

At a certain point Josh knew that he wanted more than a casual fling. What Josh hadn't expected though was for him falling in love with Shelly. And he ended up wanting the whole shebang with flowers and rainbows. He wanted to build a dream.

 photo Bildschirmfoto2013-01-26um145043_zpsf0ff5ab3.png

Life and love is about taking chances, about overcoming your fears and holding onto someone who will provide you with everything you need. And Shel found her special man. DD…Delicious Daniels. Josh is scrumptious, delectable, hot, sexy as all get out, witty, and is sporting a panty-dropping smile. Dayum! The man is lovable! *fans self*

I think I saw right through Shelly. Being bold is her armor and she projects the confident woman perfectly. Ms. Smarty Pants personified. Without a doubt Shelly gave as good as she got. That being said, behind the confident and cheeky woman hides a wounded and scared soul. Despite her defense mechanisms Josh found a way into Shelly's heart.

"I'm so lost in you, Georgia. I don't even know where you end, and I begin. You feel so f@cking amazing. I want to stay here forever," he professed softly.

“No strings, Josh. Not one. Unless, of course, it’s to tie me up.”

This book has...

The best!

Sexual tension!

And chemistry!

EVER!!!!!!!!!

I creamed my panties just from those two TALKING! I don't even have to say anything about the sex scenes 'cause they blew my mind!!!

I absolutely loved Exquisite, and this book comes very close to it, in fact, the first half of Entice was even better than the first book! I couldn't believe it! Just amazing photo 279453.gif

Anyway there was this one thing that bugged me, I guess my brain just couldn't get it because I'd personally handle the situation differently, so I couldn't understand and couldn't like it. Thus the 4 stars rating.

But don't get me wrong. This is still an awesome book, REALLY worth reading, and where I had problems, you may not, so...

"You have a body that’s made to pound a woman into her bed. So, I’m really hoping you can live up to that."

THE WRITING

Usually I start with the story, but I just can't. The writing surpasses everything in this book, is't just that great!
I forgot to mention this in my review for Exquisite, but I absolutely love the POVs! We get both the hero and the heroine, and in exual measure, which I really like. It helps understand both characters and it made me connect to them instantly :)

I'm not an author, but I read lots of books, and from what I've read, I know that great sexual tension is hard to write. How do I know it's hard? Because only a few manage to do it well! And Ella Frank... She did an amazing job, I tell you! photo 279453.gif
Good sex scenes make me hot, well, that's what they're there for, but when you come to the point when the talking makes you twitchy and squirmy and bothered...

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

YES!!!

Every scene with them was packed with chemistry, and hell, I didn't even need the sex scenes to make me hot! The dirty talk, the flirting photo fansmiley.gif
Still, the sex was there, and it was OMG hot!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

He placed his lips against her head, giving her a gentle kiss, and then he whispered, “Take a chance, Shel. I’m not going to hurt you, use you, or take any part of you for granted.”

THE STORY

Josh ended a relationship with a high maintenance woman who used him just for the money. He told himself - never again.
Shelly ended a relationship with a dead-beat guy who used her just for the money. She told herself - never again.
Best Man and Maid of Honor for Mason and Lena's wedding, they meet one night at Exquisite, and immediately realise that 1)they want to jump each other like crazy, 2)they're exactly what either of them is NOT looking for, and 3)no way are they EVER going to have sex or try any kind of relationship.
Yes. Riiiiiight photo biggestgrin.gif

"He’d told himself over and over that he would not get involved with her. As he slid onto the seat, their knees brushing against one another, he also convinced himself sex did not require involvement."

So basically the story is about Josh and Shelly, both wanting to be together, but both NOT wanting a relationship. So they made a deal, just sex, no strings attached, and no one knows about it photo 703126.gif

“Sure. If she can do it, so can I. After all, she doesn’t want feelings. She just wants sex.”

That works out really well photo 355146.gif
Well, the sex thing works out amazingly because I was panting through it all, damn but those scenes were HOT!
The club/parking lot scene - OMG the sparks were bursting all over!
The arrangement in her office *faints*
Well basically all the scenes between them were uber-hot!
A bit later they started to get more and more attached (of course), and we get to see some wonderful romantic scenes between them (the park, the wishing tree), some fights and some making-ups :D
The ending is beautiful, and explains most of what was happening in the last half, and definitely worth it <3 The epilogue was just great!

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

“Don’t make me want to keep you.”
Josh felt a huge grin spread across his face.
“Well then, don’t make me want to be kept.”

THE CHARACTERS

Shelly

I loved her from the first book :D She's Lena's best friend, and every scene between those two girls was just hilarious :D
Shelly tells it how it is, she doesn't mince words and is refreshingly honest :D
That's why the flirting was so interesting to read, well actually, that can't be called flirting, that was down-right sex talk ahahahahhah LOVED IT!
Anyway let me get back to her... Shelly doesn't want to have a relationship with Josh, she wants someone reliable, and Josh doesn't fit the picture. BUT, Jos being Josh and pretty much irresistible, she starts falling for him more and more.

“I was determined not to fall for you, and somehow, I don’t think I ever had a chance of resisting.”

There is one point in the book where I wanted to kick Shelly, she overreacted in one scene and did the totally wrong thing! But I don't know, I forgave her pretty soon because (since we get to see both POVs) I could understand her better, and I could totally feel her confusion with everything that was happening to them both.
The last 30% were really tough on her and I just felt really bad for her, she didn't deserve that treatment at all, maybe a bit more understanding was in order, but oh well. The ending and epilogue made up for all that and explained everything, and I'm glad it turned out the way it did, it was beautiful photo 836920.gif

Wearing worn jeans with a rip across the knee, he had big broad shoulders that looked so strong and powerful he could possibly lift her above his head in a bench press. Add in all that amazing wavy brown hair that was just long enough to come down and curl behind his ears, she thought, Crap, I’m screwed.

Josh

*sigh* it was insta-love with us <3 I saw him on paper... he has wavy longish hair... (I have a hair fetish I guess LOL), he looks great, talks dirty and is hot as hell. Oh yeah. Loved him right away.
He doesn't really do the "just sex" thing, doesn't know how it works, but he knows he wants Shelly badly, so he agrees to it :)
Later on he makes his own deal photo 703126.gif

I pretty much adored him in one scene, Shelly acted immature and used him as a buffer, and he told her he won't take something like that again from her photo 279453.gif

Josh doesn't take long to fall for Shelly and he wants more than just sex. BUT, he knows she doesn't want to, and is confused with other things happening in her life that I won't be talking about right now.
Still, one thing he does in the book I just don't get, no matter how good his POV is, I think he should've handled that some other way.
That's the only reason this is getting four stars. I just don't understand it and I can't approve of what he did. Don't worry, it isn't cheating! He pretty much forces Shelly to grow up and realise what she wants. That's a good thing because she does need that, but the method he used... Nope, me not likey. photo 927261665.gif

“I’m finding it really hard to fight wanting you, Josh,” she whispered, watching as Josh looked down at her.
He turned his big muscular body toward her, reaching out to cup her face in his hands. “Well, that’s nice to hear, Georgia, because I stopped fighting a while ago.”

Mason and Lena

I LOVED seeing those two again <3 Such a great couple and they made me love this book even more <3

There was a teaser chapter for Rachel's book, and I was stupid enough to read it, and now I think I will go CRAZY until it's out! photo 311685.gif photo 311685.gif

And so, this book made it to one of my favorites, even if it's 4 stars :D I still loved it and definitely recommend it to everyone (along with the first book which is absolutely fantastic in my opinion).
Thank you Ella for giving me the opportunity to read your book, it was fantastic and I had a lot of fun while reading :)
I will be eagerly waiting for the next installment in this series photo bliss.gif

HEY ALL....ELLA POSTED THAT THIS WENT LIVE ON AMAZON TWO DAYS EARLY!!!!

“Have you ever looked at someone and just thought, Yes, I know you. You’re meant to be mine.”

Dr Shelly Monroe is smart and beautiful. She has a great job and wonderful friends. But she always seems to pick the wrong kind of guy. She wants someone responsible and successful, someone well put together and completely unlike her last boyfriend with his get rich quick schemes, ripped jeans, and flighty outlook on life.

Josh Daniels recently left his lying, prissy, demanding girlfriend and moved back to Chicago. He’s looking for a woman who’s sweet and biddable, one who fits easily into his life and lifestyle.

“He was not in the market for upper class and high maintenance. He wanted middle class and low mainenance.”

Josh looks exactly like the type of guy that Shelly wants to stay away from. When Shelly meets him one night at Exquisite, my how sparks do fly! Their attraction is instant and undeniable. Shelly is quite the feisty little heroine. She’s not shy about saying what’s on her mind.

“You have a body that’s made to pound a woman into her bed. So, I’m really hoping you can live up to that.”

And what’s on her mind is that Josh is exactly the opposite of what she’s looking for in a man. Soon, however, the chemistry between these two is too explosive to resist and they find themselves sating some carnal needs while hiding their pseudo-relationship from their friends.

Of course, what they don’t realize is just how perfect for each other they are. Everyone else sees it…Mase and Lena are practically shoving them at each other and even though they think they’re being sneaky, their attraction is too intense to hide.
And here’s where the complication comes in…

“You’re not ready for me, Georgia,” he told her softly. “And that’s a real shame…”
There’s a wish…
[image error]

And a tree…
[image error]

And a great deal of loneliness…
[image error]
because Shelly just isn’t ready to believe.

Just as with Mason and Lena’s story, this was much more than I expected. YES, the sex is hot and Shelly and Josh together are funny as hell. But their process of “getting to know you” is intense. It leads to some life altering revelations. And the resulting outpouring of emotions in turn leads to stupid, stupid decisions!!!

I was so in love with this couple! But when Shelly is overcome with too many emotions…both for Josh and over a life altering confrontation with loved ones, she soon turns into the typical overreacting female. I wanted to strangle her!!!! But I could understand her, to a certain extent. Where this story lost some steam for me was the way that Josh handled the situation.

I have never been so frustrated with a character, never wished so badly for a character to be real so that I could shake him, slap him, wake him UP! What are you DOING, Josh?! How is that going to accomplish what you want it to accomplish? Had I been Shelly, I’d have thrown in the towel and stopped wishing for the best. Because at that point, Josh was certainly not acting his best. He was acting like a self righteous prick, running and expecting Shelly to bow to his demands.

Up until this situation (that goes on for quite some time) this was a five star read for me. But I never quite got to the point that I understood why he did what he did. His actions just seemed counterintuitive. Though he does somewhat redeem himself in the end.

If you loved Exquisite, then this is for you. If you like steamy and dreamy, here it is!!! This is a love story that is true to life, not a drama for drama’s sake read. Just like with Exquisite, Josh and Shelly are a couple that are simply meant for each other…yet life gets in their way and the timing of their meeting is a deterrent to their compatibility. And they have to work at it to overcome their own preconceptions of each other, to learn to mesh their lives and learn to trust and rely on each other.

"I knew from the first moment that you would change me."

5 BLISSFUL STARS!! Ella Frank brings the goods again! Exquisite was no freshman fluke, this woman can write!

“I’ve been building a dream.”

Oh Josh Daniels, you are MY DREAM!! As with her first book Exquisite, Ella Frank skillfully crafted another emotional, passionate, sensual, enchanting book!! Entice is proof that once again this author has what it takes when it comes to writing contemporary romance, and the staying power to compete with the big guns!

While first half of the book was good and quite enjoyable, the second half was utter perfection!! The author really brought it home, and this was where her writing didn’t just shine, it SPARKLED!! Just like in Exquisite, Frank makes her characters work to gain the trust and respect of the character that’s been wronged. The issues aren’t so easily solved, niceties are not always exchanged, there are heated confrontations, and it is raw and real. You feel the emotions right along with the characters, Shelly’s shock becomes yours and when she is unable to function, neither could I. My hands were wringing along with Josh in his moments of desperation, as he thought through the decisions he made, and hoping they were the right ones. It was emotional overload, but in the best way!!The author is brilliant when it comes to writing 2 POV’s. She switches seamlessly between the character’s minds. The impact is greater this way, because we get to feel what the characters are feeling in that moment, as the scene plays out. At one point in the book, my emotions were running so high, that it exhausted me, mentally drained me, my anxiety level was through the roof. The sex scenes...I can’t even think about them without breaking into a sweat, and the chemistry was amazing between Josh and Shelley…OFF THE CHART HOT!!

The message in the story is clear… what we want in life doesn’t always come in the package we think it will, and we have to live and love for ourselves and not according to someone else’s expectations. Shelly needs to realize that like in the case of her parents, history doesn’t have to repeat itself, and if she can see past her own stereotypes, a beautiful man by the name of Josh would do anything to give her the life she deserves, and fill her days with love!

The ensemble of characters that were involved throughout the storyline was a huge plus, it didn’t detract from Shelly and Josh’s story, and it just made it that much better. Frank expertly weaves those that are familiar to us, and some new faces, into the plot, and along the way sets us up for the next book. Witty, heartbreaking, genuine, profound amazing dialogue fills the pages. Ella Frank’s books would play out well on the big screen.

I did not want Entice to end, and I hovered over the last few pages, and read them again and again, the book possessed my heart, and as I finally gave in and turned the last page, I was floating on a cloud, and crying like a baby! It made me want to play sappy love songs and whip out a box of Kleenex. The ending…is every girl’s fantasy! My heart starts to flutter every time I think about it.

It won’t be long before this gifted author catches the eye of a big name publisher, if she hasn’t already; she is THAT TALENTED and so deserving of any recognition that comes her way. Mark my words; it’s just a matter of time!

The first chapter for Edible is included, and this reader was left drooling over what's to come!

The second delicious instalment in Ella Frank’s Exquisite series and it’s a beautiful, soulful erotic romance.

Ella Frank first burst onto our horizons with her stunning contemporary romance, Exquisite, last year and we’ve been waiting for some months for Shelly’s story. We were delighted and privileged to receive an ARC of Entice from Ella Frank and we’re so happy to be able to tell you all that it was so worth the wait!!

Lifting his head, he told her softly, “But we were just a fling.”

She tried to shake her head, but with him holding her face, she could move it only slightly.

“You were never just a fling,” she whispered.

“Then, what was I, Shelly Monroe?”

She licked her lips and locked eyes with him. “You were a game changer.”

Entice is a beautiful story of two people who have learned mistrust the hard way, slowly learning to trust again. We’re right back in the heart of the world we were first introduced to in Exquisite with Shelly coming to dinner at Mason’s restaurant and this is where she first meets his old friend Josh. They have an instant, incendiary physical reaction to each other but jump to fairly damning first impressions. He thinks she is a ball-busting, man-eating Barbie and she assumes is a high-risk, love ‘em and leave ‘em type of player, no good for a serious relationship. Their physical attraction, however, will not be denied and they agree to a no-strings, no-relationship, sex-only deal and proceed to burn up the pages with their white-hot passion! Phew!

Ella Frank really does write THE most amazing heroes that will have your loins aching and a secret smile on your face and Josh ‘Delicious’ Daniels is absolutely no exception. How much did I love him? Let me count the ways. He’s drop-dead gorgeous in his sexy ripped jeans with a tool-belt slung low around his hips, he has a melt-your-panties shit-eating grin and lose-yourself chocolate brown eyes, he knows how to make Shelly ‘feel like a woman’, loves his dog and is a really kind and patient guy. They don’t come much better than this – BE STILL MY BEATING HEART!! YUM!!

At first, as with Lena in Exquisite, I wasn’t 100% sure that I liked Shelly – she seemed a little cold and aloof but, as we got to know her and her brave face a lot better as the story progressed, I realised that there was a lot to love about her and I really warmed to her. She’s trying to project a tough-as-nails, cold, calculating image but this is only masking the sadness deep inside. She’s holding back on Josh and this leads to months of angst and a very emotional journey but she is falling further and further down the rabbit hole, slowly realising the depth of her own feelings.

“Don’t be too quick to throw it all away. Some dreams are meant to last.”

As Shelly quirked a brow at him, he leaned down to whisper in her ear.

“I’ve been building a dream.”

Le Sigh!

What I love about an Ella Frank romance is the time given to tell it. This doesn’t take place over days or even a couple of weeks – this spans several months and this gives time to allow the relationship to develop naturally and you can really feel the intensity of their emotions and worry that they may not find that Happy Ever After as they constantly run from one another, one perceived slight at a time. There’s a real heartfelt intensity to the story and I was completely absorbed and captivated and read it in one sitting, I just could not put it down. I was urging them on, often angry at Shelly and her reactions and the way that she hurt Josh but he is a great hero and he plays a patient waiting game hoping that, when she’s ready, Shelly will come to him. Will they find their Happy Ever After – you’re just going to have to read it to find out!

It’s wonderful to catch up with Mason & Lena as they prepare for their wedding and reconnect with Mason’s mysterious sister Rachel who is to be the star of the next book in the series and her story is set up tantalisingly in this one.

So if you like your romance to be angsty, soulful, emotional, captivating and very, very sexy, then this is just about the perfect book for you.

4.5 stars erotic romance

"I've wanted you since the moment I turned around in Mason's bar. Happy?"

"I'm horny, not happy. You're so fucking sexy that all the blood in my body is in my cock. But you already know that because you keep aiming your eyes down there to check"

This is the story about Georgia/Shelly & Josh. Yeah, I like calling her Georgia because I just like this part of her. Shelly was a little bit annoying sometimes but I ended up loving her too.

Shelly is Lena’s best friend. Yeah, you remember Lena, right? And yeah… I know you are remembering Mason aka peaches now, you sluts! ;)
She is a little bit sorry for herself because her sex life is not as AH-mazing as she expects…

“You are wonderful, and we all love you”
“I know you do, but I can’t have sex with you”

Josh is Mason’s best friend. He is just PERFECT. Yeah, I think ‘perfect’ is the best word to describe him. He is sweet, he is a gentleman, he is hot, he doesn’t want a fling, he is searching for something else, I mean, where on earth are those guys? Ella, pls enlighten us! ;)

Shelly is not the kind of woman he wants to share his life with but she is HOT AS HELL and intriguing…

Why on earth would a woman like her be dating Paul the Bore?

Shelly is searching for the perfect guy. Wait, scratch that, she is searching for a boring guy! But when she meets MY JOSH she obviously can’t help it, she wants him!

So they get a deal: SEX & NOTHING ELSE…

”No strings, Josh. Not one. Unless, of course, it’s to tie me up.”

And yes, they are very hot when they are together!

”Okay. I’m hard, horny, and want YOUR lips around my cock at 2 p.m. Can you make that happen?”

I wouldn’t deny such a great offer!

But Shelly had a bad experience with someone like Josh in the past and she doesn’t want this to be anymore serious but Josh is making things hard for her because he is just her perfect match.

”Don’t make me want to keep you”
“Well then, don’t make me want to be kept”

After a few misunderstandings Josh decides to put some space between them. He is really into Shelly and he wants her only if she is really into him. I told you ladies, he is just PERFECT!. And, you just need to read the book to find out what happens with them…

I don’t want to spoil the story for you but pls READ THIS BOOK, it’s sweet and hot at the same time, you will get more Lena & Mason and we will get to know more about Rachel & Cole. OMG, I know this sounds bad but I can’t wait for book 3 in this series because I have the feeling it’s going to be my favourite one. I just LOVE Rachel & Cole!

- ok let me just tell you something first:

1. the first book "exquisite" was first published in july 2012
2. i read the first book in august 2012 (so you see i was really waiting really long for this)
3. i've been waiting for the sequel for 5 months!!!!!!!!
4. i reread exquisite couple of times because i love mason
5. i was hoping the second will blow my mind too
6. it didn't

- possible spoilers (depends what will be on my mind during writing the review)!

- i will keep this short.

- i really liked the book, i thought josh was the perfect one, in his torn jeans and leather jacket etc. (yes i am shallow woman)

- the scenes with them were very very hot!

- the chemistry between them was awesome!

- but then somewhere it all went down for me

- to be precise: josh was the reason it all went down for me

- i mean what the f*ck?!?!?!

- don't people anymore date in books? does it have to be instant? do you have to know you want to marry somebody after 3 days or something like that?!?! i mean his constant leaving! every-f*cking-time!!!! so she could realize!?!?! i hate to tell you but that is just stupid! in that period people would actually date and see what will happen!

- him not being there was explained in the end (which i thought would be like that) but still stupid

- some parts were to sweet for me (wedding vows and the ending - i like cheesy but sometimes it doesn't fit the book - to me,i am weird)

- so you see i am in dilemma how to rate this book

- the first half was 4 stars for me, the second 1 star so i will use mathematics and rate it in the middle and give it 3 stars (2.5 actually but nevermind)

- i am really sorry because i really wanted to like it but....

- at least i still have mason to dream about

“You have a body that’s made to pound a woman into her bed. So, I’m really hoping you can live up to that.”

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

This is the second book in the Exquisite series. This one is about construction businesss owner Josh(Delicious Daniels) and doctor Shelly(Man-Eater Monroe). Josh is the BFF of Mason and Shelly is the BFF of Lena..they were in the first book, remember?? Josh just moved back to Chicago, and meets Shelly at the weekly Monday night dinner at Exquisite. They are instantly attracted to the other, but they only want a "fling". One thing leads to another, and well they start to fall for each other. They have both been hurt in the past....and need to just give it a chance. I loved this book....now on to the last book in the series...... Edible.

4.5 Stars!! Sweet, Hot, Wickedly sexy with a little taste of Southern!

 photo DorseysKA_zps370e6e65.jpg

Ella Frank writes the kind of contemporary romance I love. First and foremost I’m happy to say this book has a concrete ending! With the serialization craze often leaving the reader hanging with a mind boggling cliffhanger, it’s more than refreshing to get lost in a well written romance that leaves you with a happy buzz at the end. She’s a great storyteller giving both POV with banter and dialogue that make it easy to become immersed in the lives of the characters.

This author knows how to write a hero! When reading a romance, the hero makes or breaks the book for me.

Joshua Daniels is all alpha male dripping in sex appeal. With his body, charm and wit, this sexy as sin man could easily cause serious damage to any girl’s equilibrium. As the owner of a successful Construction company he still enjoys being part of the labor crew. I soon learned Mr. Delicious Daniels is a builder of much more than just tangible assets. I started off liking him, soon came to love him and most definitely there was plenty of lust involved too.
...Delicious. That’d been the first word that came to mind when she’d seen him. ... “Wearing worn jeans with a rip across the knee, he had big broad shoulders that looked so strong and powerful he could possibly lift her above his head in a bench press. Add in all that amazing wavy brown hair that was just long enough to come down and curl behind his ears, she thought, Crap, I’m screwed.”
I always do the happy dance when a heroine has a brain. I like smart heroines. Dr. Shelly Monroe is beautiful, sexy and smart! After meeting her in Exquisite I was anxious for her story. She’s cheeky, confident, and bold. She also has some deep commitment issues to overcome.

Shelly is determined not to get involved with Josh. He’s not the type of man she wants in her life, or so she thinks. Josh definitely wants to make sure he stays well away from Man-Eater Monroe. He’s been burned before by her type. The only problem is this intense hunger radiating between them that can’t be denied. But who says sex has to come with a commitment!
...“Don’t make me want to keep you.” Josh felt a huge grin spread across his face. “Well then, don’t make me want to be kept.”
The banter between Josh and Shelly throughout this book is delicious!
The story picks up momentum as Shelly invites Josh on a road trip to her home town and one of my favorite places, Savannah, Georgia. Josh is amazed to see a softer, more relaxed version of Shelly and finds he likes this side of his Georgia too. While visiting her parents he comes to understand the cause of Shelly’s reticence and her lack of trust in relationships.

There’s serious hotness here and what starts off as only passion slowly develops into much deeper feelings. Shelly’s denial that there could ever be anything more than sexual gratification causes a big riff. Josh handles this situation in a unique way keeping this reader anxious and turning those pages!
... “He placed his lips against her head, giving her a gentle kiss, and then he whispered, “Take a chance, Shel. I’m not going to hurt you, use you, or take any part of you for granted.”
Ella Frank has given another winning contemporary romance with Entice! It’s blazing hot, fun, and romantic. It’s filled with dreams and wishes, passion and love. Fans of the first book, Exquisite, will enjoy catching up with Mason and Lena. If you’re looking for a well written, character driven, passionate romance with a HEA that will leave you very pleased then be sure to grab this one! You won’t be disappointed!!

Entice is the second book in the exquisite story. I loved Mason in Exquisite but I love Josh, the hero of Entice more!! Call me fickle. It's a gorgeous story about two people looking for something and it's filled with DELICIOUSLY, HOT, SMOKING SEX!!!! Lovely!!!

Dr. Shelly Monroe is Lena's BFF. She's a smart woman who knows what she wants: GOOD SEX with a MAN and not just any man but one who is a suited professional who can take care of himself financially and take care of a woman in the bedroom.

"The lady was a knockout...oozed sex and was smart…..dangerous package….a man-eater.

She doesn't want to be used for her money as a 'free ride' EVER AGAIN!!! Sometimes, things aren't what they seem and sometimes, you don't know what's best for you until it's staring you in the face!!!

"Oh yeah, you don’t need to be involved to hit the sheets." TRUE!!!

Joshua Daniels is Mason's BFF, are you keeping up? And he appears to be far from what Shelly is looking for as her ideal man, not even close to being the right choice.

Is Shelly what he’s looking for? Hmmmmm???????

Will they want to keep each other?

**I LOVE that line!!! Fabulously HOT, pictures in my head....I LOVE that line!!!!!

There were some sad moments when my heart ached for them; the dual POV, that Ella Frank wrote so beautifully, gave the inner thoughts of Josh and Shelly and made the heartbreaking emotions so strong……..

I loved seeing the continuation of Lena & Mason’s story, seeing their future, it made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside, my heart melted and I shed a tear. ♥

We also get an insight into the characters that will be in the next book, very clever, Ella, you’re luring me into your fabulous world, with glimpses of the delights to come!!!!!

“Don’t be too quick to throw it all away. Some dreams are meant to last.”

“I’ve been building a dream.”

Dreams are funny things. They shift and morph the more you grow

“But what do you dream for when you have everything you already want?”

Shelly and Josh....

Such explosive chemistry from the very first time they saw each other... I could just feel the sparks! What an emotional roller coaster their journey was.. for them and me. I felt so many emotions reading their story..which I ate up in one day like a box of candy
I went from feeling like my panties were melting to happy sighs, to wanting to jump through my Kindle and kick some ass, then all happy again, then angsty and nervous, then happy again..

I absolutly love books that do that to you.. that can make you so happy one minute and then turn around and have you pulling at your hair.. a book with feeling!! This is why I love to read and Ella has done it once again..

We also get to see Lena and Mason again and lots of them which I totally swooned over

I finshed this book with a big ole sappy dreamy smile on my face and I think anyone that loves romance with some super hot sizzling sheet burning wall banging sex thrown in will love it too..

Thanks Ella, for another great ride!

5 Stars!

What if everything you think you want isn't what you actually need? This is the exact question Ella Frank poses in her second book, and follow-up to the very popular Exquisite, Entice.

Dr. Shelly Monroe is NOT a shy woman. She goes after what she wants, but lately she's found herself conflicted between the kind of man who manages to light her fire in bed and the type of man she believes to be the right candidate for a life partner. Because he's Mason Langley's best friend, as well as being perceived as a risky bad-boy type, Shelly is certain that Joshua Daniels isn't anywhere close to what she wants or needs. So, it's funny that she can't stop herself from thinking of him and how delicious he looks. In fact, in her mind, he has become Delicious Daniels. He's an enticing temptation, and, really, one she doesn't want to resist. Sometimes, it's almost impossible to reconcile what you think you want with what you actually need, especially when you're fighting yourself not to make the same mistakes your parents made. Shelly and Josh walk quite a road. Some of it together. Some of it not. The question is, can anyone honestly afford to turn away from love even when the fear of failure is so overwhelming?

Entice is FANTASTIC! It's fun, flirty and sexy, yes. No question! But, more importantly, Entice is a story with a depth and fullness of character that we don't often find in the romance genre. Or, at least, we don't often get it wrapped in this type of package, with all the trimmings. Entice is the *complete* package!

To be honest, I wasn't certain, early in the story, if I was going to be able to understand and empathize with Dr. Shelly Monroe. For me, it seemed she'd had a personality transplant from the funny, supportive friend she was to Lena in Exquisite. And....I wasn't fond of the new Shelly. As the story went on, though, it finally clicked in my head. Just as the story is multi-dimensional, so is Shelly. She, like all of us, has many facets to her personality, and it was interesting and compelling to explore those differents parts of the character. I actually came to be quite a fan of Shelly by the end of the story.

Josh, aka Delicious Daniels, is an absolute DREAM!! His, by now, famous line in the book, "I've been building a dream.", had absolutely *no less* impact on me when I read it, for knowing it was there. I went back, just now, to read that scene again, and it gives me goose bumps, STILL! There is something about those words, coming from a man like Josh. It takes my breath away. Without any doubt, that scene is my very favorite in this book. In fact, it's become one of my favorite scenes, ever. Ladies, any man who treats you as Josh treats Shelly, holds you close and whispers, "I've been building a dream.", if you don't grab hold of him and hang on tight, I don't even wanna know you!

I have to come back to the depth and fullness of character that Ella Frank gives us in Entice. It isn't only the two main characters. It is *every* character in the book! Yet, somehow, that doesn't detract from the telling of Josh and Shelly's story. Just the opposite! It makes their story richer as they connect and interact with other fully-formed and multi-faceted characters. I absolutely *adore* this aspect of Ella Frank's stories!! It is so rare in the romance genre as to almost be nonexistent. Therefore, it is a stand-out feature of Ella's storytelling and writing, and it should be widely praised and appreciated!

Ella Frank floors me!! She really does. Where in the world did this author come from?! Her writing and storytelling positively flow, and there is such depth and maturity to it. It astounds me that this is only her second book! This author writes as if she's a seasoned professional, and, frankly, *better* than many so-called seasoned professionals! There is only one explanation for it. Ella Frank has a gift. How lucky are we that she made the choice to use it? I'm being completely honest when I tell you that I am unbelievably excited about how and where she'll choose to explore this gift of hers next. Can you imagine? The possibilities are endless!

Whew—where to start...
If you thought Exquisite was hot, ladies, wait until you read the scorching-hot scenes in Entice. I'm talking panty-melting, leave-you-breathless scenes. Ella Frank does not disappoint.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

The story of Dr. Shelly Monroe is a realistic tale of finding what you need, where you least expect it. Overcoming your inner-demons and repairing your shattered soul. All with the help from an amazing (smoking-hot) man, who understands her better than she understands herself.

Photobucket Pictures, Images and Photos

Entice has all the qualities that you'd expect from an incredible book. It's edgy and angsty. Raw and full of passion. Oh, and did I mention hot-as-hell? It will have you devouring the pages as well as it's characters—leaving you begging for more.

Okay, I’ll be short on this one, mostly because I really don’t know what to say except that this was a great second book in this series. Not that’s much of a surprise, anyway.

description

So, this is the story of Lena’s best friend, Shelly, and Mason’s best friend, Josh. They both got burned by past relationships so when they meet each other they automatically think the worst about the other and don't want anything with each other.
Since they really can’t deny that are completely attracted to each other, they settle on a no-strings-only-sex relationship. (Yes, yes. I know! They always think that’s actually a good idea.)
But while Josh soon realizes that their deal isn't enough for him, Shelly’s fears don’t allow her to acknowledge that too. So he decides to do what it takes to make her see the real thing between them.

What can I say? Another awesome book in a great series: loved the characters, the romance, the steam, loved to see more of Mason and Lena and to have a sneak peak of Rachel and Cole.
I’m definitely falling in love with this author and her books! ;)

5 HOT and Romantic Stars
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Heat Barometer: 5 out of 5 flames

Ella Frank brought her "A" Game, AGAIN! Frank dazzled me in Exquisite, so much that I couldn’t believe it was her debut book. If it is even possible I think I liked Entice more. She gives me what I crave most in a book. Her heroines are real, successful, strong yet flawed, and at times vulnerable. Her heroes are so sigh worthy and could write “THE” book on how to romance to get the girl. The storyline and dialog is packed full of spice, with lots of hot, sexy dirty talking, and some sweet loving too. Ella Frank gives me my money’s worth when it comes to pulling out all of my emotions. I found myself several times teary-eyed or tingling with anticipation, and then with a huge smile.

Shelly Monroe was a maneater, justifying the name Josh gave her at first sight, Man-Eating Monroe and he didn’t want anything to do with her. Josh Daniels also got his nickname at first sight, Delicious Daniels and Shelly was NOT interested, “been there done that”. Yeah right, we all know how that story goes. Well they try to fight it … for a minute..., but you can’t fight a losing battle and they had some strong forces between them. So instead they make a sex deal and to seal the deal “they have to come all over each other”. Shelly’s words not mine and what exciting words they were.

You think it is like the story line you have read a 110 times; friends with benefits, fight their connection really hard, opposites attract, but there are lots of quick turns and twists that keeps the edge fresh and the sexual tension and combustion to a volcanic hot level. So hot that it makes you want to invent new words to classify it. Extra bonus, there is lots of interaction with Lena and Mason from book 1. I am a lifelong member of Mason's fan club.

The Ending…awwwe…so unbelievably romantic, THIS IS A MUST READ! Now I can’t wait until this summer when book 3, EDIBLE, comes out. Super Hero Cole versus Super Domme Rachel, it looks like it is going to be a fun one.

***4 Sexy Man-Eating Stars***

"I've been building a dream."

Dr. Shelly Monroe has had it with dating men who only use her. So, she broke it off with her boyfriend, who was only interested in her money, and decided to date men that are successful in their careers. Joshua Daniels has always dated women that were sexy as sin but after his ex used him for money and cheated on him, he decides to only date women that are sweet and calm. When these two meet to be part of Lena and Mason's wedding, the attraction is instant and they are exactly what they swore they would never date. They both know it's dangerous so they are determined to not get involved with each other.

"You're making it so easy to fall for you, Josh," she whispered.
His arms tightened around her as he replied softly, "Is that such a bad thing, Georgia?"
Shelly placed a palm on his chest and felt his heart beating strong. "I'm not sure yet," she told him.

Shelly "Man-Eater" Monroe, aka Georgia, was intelligent, confident, feisty and knows exactly whats she wants and isn't afraid to show it. I really loved Shelly, even though there were some parts where I got a bit pissed off at her and I wished she would see reason, but I still really liked her. She wasn't perfect and had suffered because of her parent's relationship but hid it behind her 'brave face'. She wanted someone who wasn't looking to be taken care of by her, but someone responsible and independent. Shelly is Lena's best friend and Maid of Honor. When she sees Josh all she can think is that he is absolutely Delicious. She wants him and fighting the attraction proves to be difficult. So, she suggest they make a deal, to sleep together with no strings attatched.

"I'm so lost in you, Georgia. I don't even know where you end, and I begin. You feel so f*cking amazing. I want to stay here forever," he professed softly.

Josh "Delicious" Daniels, is sexy and charming. He is the owner of a construction company and quite successful at what he does. He is ready to settle down, build a home, and start a family, but he seems to be choosing the wrong kind of women. Josh is Mason's old best friend and has just returned to Chicago. He is hired by Mason to do some renovation on his restaurant, Exquisite . When he sees Shelly, he knows that she will eat him alive and burn him to a crisp. He is attracted to her stunning beauty but also to her intelligence. There is no way he can say no to her when she proposes they have a deal. Soon, he finds he wants more, he justs needs to make her see that he can be the right man for her.

"You have a body that’s made to pound a woman into her bed. So, I’m really hoping you can live up to that."

The sexual tension between these two was through the roof. It was really high in steam. The relationship doesn't really start to build until Shelly asks Josh to accompany her to Georgia to visit her family. They both realize that they weren't exactly what they were expecting. Josh meets "Georgia", another side to Shelly where she is carefree, relaxed, and sweet. Shelly sees Josh and didn't think anyone could really care about her or look at her the way he does. I really fell in love with both of them. I wanted them to be together as a couple because they were just perfect for each other. Shelly came to some conclusions and pretty much ran away from him before things got too serious. There was a long separtion time, but I felt it was necessary in order for Shelly to grow. It never really bothered me, except that I was anxious for these two to get back together. They have both fallen for each other. Now time will tell if they will reunite because they are meant to be or never see each other again and move on.

"Why can't you hurry up and decide what you want? It's killing me not having you with me," he growled

"How can you not see how good we'd be together and how much I would love you?"

The ending was so beautiful! I loved it! I was smiling so much and I didn't want it to end. The epilogue was amazing as well. I loved the writing, the characters, and the story. It was different from the first book, Exquisite, and I think that is why I really liked it so much, It wasn't similar. The next book seems to be totally different as well. Now, I am anxiously awaiting to read Rachel and Cole's book. I am really intrigued by these two. I can't wait!

Come on by Romantic Book Affairs TODAY!, Saturday 2/9, to see what me and Ella chatted about and for an awesome chance to win an ebook copy of Exquisite (book one) or Entice (book two)!!!!

Entice is a whip smart, sexy, and extremely steamy contemporary romance with a dash of erotic and a splash of humor. I will never look at a coat room the same again. Miz Frank has definitely moved up on my list of favorite contemporary romance authors. There is no way I will be missing out on anything she writes in the future.

Dr. Shelly Monroe is smart, witty, vivacious, and beautiful. She shouldn’t have any problem in the dating department. But, after being used for her money by her loser ex-boyfriend, she refuses to date any men who can’t provide for themselves. And, because of her strict stipulations on the men she dates, she ends up dating boring men who do absolutely nothing for her. Not to mention her non-existent sex life.

And then Shelly meets Joshua – sexy, cool, Delicious Daniels. The man is exactly what she is trying to stay away from. He works construction and has a killer smile that will make any woman swoon. But Josh is not what you see is what you get. He is the owner of Creative Construction and Remolding Co. Shelly has no idea how successful Josh is. She immediately judges him as a lowly construction worker and player and she refuses to get to know him otherwise.

But Josh is really a good guy – caring, successful, and reliable. And you gotta love a hero who loves his dog. I know I do. Because Josh has also been burned by his ex, who cheated on him after using him for his money, he has trust issues with women. And now he has decided he wants a sugary sweet and simple woman who will treat him right. Not a man-eater like Dr. Shelly Monroe. So Josh meets Shelly, he immediately shuns dating her, thinking she is too much like his ex-girlfriend who ate him up and spit him out.

“No strings, Josh. Not one. Unless, of course, it’s to tie me up.”

However, the mutual attraction between Josh and Shelly is undeniable, magnetic. Josh can’t seem to stop thinking about getting Shelly in bed and vice versa. So, when Shelly presents Josh with a deal, a deal that involves sex with no strings attached so they can both scratch their itches, Josh is shocked yet intrigued. He wants her so he agrees. And when these two finally get together, look out ya’ll, not only is there incredible chemistry with intense sexual tension, but the sex is SMOKIN’ HAWT. Have I mentioned all the dirty talk between them? Meow.

I truly love and adore Shelly and Josh-u-ah. Why do I say his name this way? Because underneath the sophisticated hard shell that surrounds Shelly, she’s really a sweet southern gal from Georgia. And when she pulls out the southern charm, she makes Josh fall to his knees. She then becomes Josh’s Georgia, not the man-eater Josh is afraid of. And once Shelly gets to know the thoughtful, romantic, charming, and kind (let’s not forget extremely sexy!) side of Josh, she realizes he might be the one for her.

“I was determined not to fall for you, and somehow, I don’t think I ever had a chance of resisting.”

This couple is really great together. However, their journey together is not an easy one. They both have issues to work through. Which leads Josh into making a tough decision that could either make or break them as a couple. I agreed with his decision. It forced Shelly to reevaluate her focus and come face-to- face with her true self. And eventually, Josh found his way through Shelly’s concrete walls and helped her open her heart to discovering the true meaning of love and life.

I’ve become deeply involved with the cast of characters in the Exquisite series. So, of course, I was happy to get plenty of Lena and Mason. But, the one person I truly never expected to show her true colors the way she did is Mason’s sister, Rachel. I’m absolutely dying to get my hands on Edible. Keep bringing on the hotness Miz Frank!

4 DELICIOUS STARS

I’ve been waiting a while for this book to come out and I was very excited it when it was released earlier. I started with Chapter 2, because the wonderful Ella Frank released the 1st Chapter on the 25th of Jan. I couldn’t wait to continue reading.

I usually don’t to casting, but when I saw this picture on GR I knew she was my Shelley: (Beautiful South African Candice Swanepoel) – I’m still trying to find my Jason.

I really enjoyed the book it felt like I was flying through this book and I didn’t want it to end.

I lovvveeeed Delicious Daniels yum yum. Sometimes Shelly was irritating me, she couldn’t make up her mind. And what is there to think about hellllo this is Delicious Daniels we are talking about here. LOL

I also loved that Mason, Lena and Rachel played a big part in the book. Mason & Lena are still my favourite.

I have 1 question: Please don’t read the spoiler if you haven’t read the book yet

I loved the Halloween party and Mason and Lena’s costumes hahahaha! I won’t go further into that you would have to find out yourself, but I loved it.

Seeing that Mason and Josh are taken, I wonder if they have any other friends?? I also want to be invited to supper on Mondays :)

Hottest scene - The Kitchen scene good grief that was hot. I have to say this book was hotter than the first book… It already started at 18%.

Favourite Quotes / Lines These are just a few, I almost highlighted the whole book :)

“Never repeat bad words you hear, never repeat bad dates you had, and never ever repeat a bad sexual experience”

“No stings Josh. Not one. Unless, off course, it’s to tie me up”

“Playing with your tool so late at night, Josh?”

“Does Mason prune your garden?”
Hahahahahahaha

“Do you want me to drive for a little bit?” “My truck?” “No, your Lamborghini. Of course the truck.”

Another spoiler

I’m really looking forward to the 3rd book about Rachel.

If you haven’t read this series, go ahead and start with Exquisite it’s freaking awwwwwesome :)

I don't know what to say. This book is a roller coaster. Thanks Karen for an awesome buddy read. It was the highlight of this book and the only thing I can think of when it comes to describing this book.

It started off with a boom.

It got even better.

We highlighted like crazy.

Finally some romance.

And then - boom! Half way through we was confused. First we wanted to slap Shelly. Then we wanted to slap Josh. Then we just gave up.

5 stars for the first half and 1 star for the second half = 3 stars. It has been said before but I just don't get it. What happened to dating? Don't click the spoiler if you haven't read the book. . The worst part? Ella Frank is an awesome writer and there was so much potential.

Pretty please with sugar on top - don't pull this stunt in Edible. I'm already crazy about Cole. *Drools* And the teaser. OMG! *Fanning myself*

This book had it all going on in the best way for me, Steamy, Sexy, Laugh out loud funny, Great characters, full on chemistry and Fabulous story telling.

I was hooked from the get go, the writing style is like literary chocolate (and I like chocolate)! After falling in love with 'exquisite' this book most certainly did not disappoint. I for one love a series that links characters and this series does just that - I loved that I had another chance to learn more about characters from book one, without it feeling repetitive or over the top. *thumbs up from me*

Ella Frank hands down writes the BEST male heroes, I challenge any reader not to fall in love with Ella's boys and in true style in this tale of two we are introduced to ...

Mr. Joshua Daniels *sigh* where do I start, He is sweet, charming, loving and wait for it 100% manly, (he wears a tool belt for goodness sake)! Joshua is looking for the 'right one' but is blindsided when he is introduced to the lovely ...

Dr. Shelly Monroe - she is a fire cracker, labelled as a man eater, but that's only one side of this funny, beautiful, quick witted woman who craves approval and security ...

The official blurb wraps this story up nicely, but from me if you like well written, steamy and heart felt then don't miss out on this dreamy treat.

I do have a little moan as much as I like a bit of anticipation and angst, I found the book a little drawn out towards the end and I was itching for the couple to get together, I wasn't sure if my romantic heart could take it, i found myself questioning if they truly loved each other, however this did not take away my enjoyment of the read and the ending was more than enough. I can't recommend this author enough to all my fellow hard core swoon addicts.

4 stars and a gold medal for Ella Frank for her talent of writing the BEST (and yummiest)! Male book husbands!!

I'm giddy right now after finishing this book. My heart is so full of joy and happiness. Entice was hot! [image error]
It was also funny, heartbreaking, sad, and unbelievably sweet! I absolutely love Josh and Shelly . Their story tore at my heart and put a smile on my face. I LOVE this series! Ella Frank is quickly becoming a new favorite author of mine. I cannot wait to read Edible! I definitely recommend this book!

"I'm falling for you so hard that I can feel the scrapes on my knees as I'm brought to them."

"I would lie under the tree and dream about the man I'd end up with-who he would be and what he would look like. And he turned out much better than anything I could have imagined."

What did I think? I think that I love Josh - LOVE HIM. I was so totally in love with the first book and was so disappointed when i finished it and realised I could not delve straight into Shelly's story. Had to wait a while for it - was it worth the wait? Totally. I really loved the story. Shelly, trying to be tough. Josh is such a sweetheart. Great to catch up with Mason and Lena again and check in with Rachel. Had a big happy, sappy grin on my face through most of this. LOVED the Southern drawl that totally got to Josh - and the dog - yep, you have to have a dog in a story sometimes. Looking forward to Rachel's story but my only concern is that Ella is going to go down the "Fifty" route (as I call it). If I want to read a BDSM story, will read one. If I want to read a good love story with some HOT scenes, I will read that. Ella writes that type of book - feel that some authors are jumping on the bandwagon and bowing to pressure that us readers WANT Fifty/Bared/This Man - shackles and handcuffs and whips etc. WE DON't, well I don't (sometimes I do) so hopefully the next book will not stray too far from what the first two books gave us. Wonder what I will read next. Thanks to all my Goodread friends who recommend these books and make sure I am broke at every turn and my credit card is about to blow up with my one-clicking.

Dreams are funny things. They shift and morph the more you grow.

Dr. Shelly ‘Man-Eater’ Monroe- aka Georgia

In Exquisite, we meet Lena’s best friend Shelly... Shelly Monroe is the perfect package. She is smart, successful, gorgeous and funny. So why is she still single? After being burned in the past and used for her money by ex’s, she is particular about who she dates. This causes her to date guys that are successful, and nice, and boring!

Josh Daniels is Mason’s best friend. He recently moved back to Chicago after breaking up with his user of an ex-girlfriend. He owns his construction company and is doing some work for Mason’s restaurant. Josh is manly, sexy, sweet and charming.

Mason gets the idea that Josh and Shelly would be perfect together. He wants to set them up. The only problem is that when Shelly first meets Josh, she assumes he is a construction worker and judges him on that. She doesn’t realize he is a successful business owner. And Josh also judges Shelly, by the way she looks and acts, he knows she has the possibility to chew him up and spit him out- hence the nick name ‘Man-Eater’.

Josh and Shelly are seriously attracted to each other. They can’t stop thinking about one another. Shelly comes up with a plan. A deal she makes with Josh. They can have great sex, but thats it. No one knows. No relationship. No strings.

“No strings, Josh. Not one. Unless, of course, it’s to tie me up.”

“You have a body that’s made to pound a woman into her bed. So, I’m really hoping you can live up to that.”

This deal works for a while... but then complications arise. Shelly takes Josh home with her for the weekend to act as a ‘buffer’. Meeting the family leads them to make a new deal.

“Are there any rules to this deal I should know about?” There was a silence, then he heard a whisper so quiet he almost missed it.
“Don’t make me want to keep you.”

Something happens between Josh and Shelly. They start to fall for one another. This freaks Shelly out.

“You were never just a fling,” she whispered.
“Then, what was I, Shelly Monroe?” She licked her lips and locked her eyes with him.
“You were a game changer.”

Shelly and Josh’s journey together is not always easy, but once they realize they are perfect for each other, its a beautiful thing!

“I’m so lost in you, Georgia. I don’t know where you end, and I begin. You feel so fucking amazing. I want to stay here forever.”
Photobucket
“Well you know how that lil’ ole saying goes, sugah. Save a horse and ride a cowboy.”

Josh is all kinds of sexy, and Josh and Shelly sizzle when they are together. It’s that hot!

-Parking lot
-Shelly’s Office
-Under the tree
-Coat Closet...
Okay, those are just the highlights!!!

Entice was great! It was fun, hot, flirty angsty and sexy! I enjoyed the flow of the story, and the writing was incredible! The ending left me with a big smile on my face!
Loved how much of Mason and Lena we got, and I CAN’T WAIT for Rachel and Cole’s story, Edible! A great series I would recommend :D

“Don’t make me want to keep you.” Josh felt a huge grin spread across his face.

“Well then, don’t make me want to be kept.”

Josh and Shelly know what it’s like to be used and burned, they both have had relationships where they gave and gave without getting anything in return. They are sick of it, Josh is ready to settle down and is looking for someone nice and sweet, while all Shelly wants is for someone to take care of her. Josh and Shelly can’t help but get roped into being at the same place courtesy of their two match maker best friends Mason and Lena, only once they see each other, they both know they are the exact opposite from what they are looking for
“No, he needed someone gentle, sweet, and possibly cute, and for that very reason, he was going to stay the hell away from Man-Eater Monroe.”

It’s been a while since Lena’s had sex, and not just any kind, but the hot, sweaty, back-scratching sex. So she decides, why not have some fun while looking for Mr. Right, all she has to go is get a certain bad-boy to agree
“You have a body that’s made to pound a woman into her bed. So, I’m really hoping you can live up to that.”

Josh is nothing like what Shelly thinks he is, far from the bad-boy she sees. Josh thinks he can keep his heart out of this agreement but it’s hard, something about her brings out the bad-boy in him and he can’t help but want to be the man to tame this man-eater
“I’m horny, not happy. You’re so fucking sexy that all the blood in my body is in my cock. But you already know that because you keep aiming your eyes down there to check.”

There are two sides to every person, the person we want everyone to see and the person we truly are and when we are aren’t keeping our walls up we show the person we are meant to be. Josh sees a different side to Shelly and can’t help but fall in love with her, but she is too stubborn to see how perfect they are together, she is hell bent on finding her sugar-daddy, that she can’t see what’s in front of her face.
““It’s stripping you bare, and I’m falling for you so hard that I can feel the scrapes on my knees as I’m brought to them. I understand you’re scared because I’m absolutely terrified, but I’m not going to hurt you or kick you when you’re down.”

“...I’m running forward, Georgia. So, catch up to me, would you?”

I freaking loved Josh, he was perfect, hate to say it but he had Mason beat, he was a perfect mix of naughty and nice and poor Shelly didn’t stand a chance especially once she opened her eyes and finally saw what she was missing. Entice was a perfect addition to the Exquisite series and I can’t wait to get my hands on Cole and Rachel.

3.5 ★★★

I loved Exquisite so I had very high hopes for Entice. I enjoy this author’s writing style, story development and detail. I was really feeling this one for the first 50 plus % and then not so much.

Josh was portrayed as just a bit too sweet even though he stood firm in what he wanted, and he did want the ‘Man-Eater’ Monroe. Shelly was portrayed as an alpha female; upfront and direct in what she wanted sexually. Although afraid to let herself fall for Josh even though she wanted him badly.

“Because I gave a guy like him a chance once, and he used it all up for every other guy like him.”

So… they struck up a deal for a sex only relationship and that worked fine until things changed under the dreaming tree…
“I called this my dreaming tree. I would come down here and dream of where I wanted to escape to and who I wanted to meet.”

This is where the story started to drag for me. Months and months go by, nothing is resolved. Josh moves away (even though I knew exactly what he was doing.)

The marriage between Lena and Mason occurs which was beautiful and a highlight in the second half of the book. And then Shelly finally comes to terms with her feelings and … you need to read the book to find out what happens.

I will say I am quite excited for book 3. I believe Rachel and Cole’s story will have some kink to it!

This review may contain spoilers

From the moment Josh and Shelly meet at Mason's restaurant Exquisite there is an instant attraction between them, even though neither will admit it and they drive each other crazy. Mason and Lena keep trying to set Josh and Shelly up saying they will make the perfect couple. They deny their attraction and each think they have a good reason for doing so - Shelly recently broke up with Adam who was just using her for money so she doesn't want to get into another relationship like that where someone is dependant on her for money all the time. Josh also is recently getting out of a relationship with Melissa who cheated on him and also used him for his money. Eventually they both admit their attraction and Shelly proposes a deal.

"You have a body that's made to pound a woman into her bed. So, I'm really hoping you can live up to that."

"The deal is this. No one knows about us. This is sex. Hot sex, but just sex. I want a nice, sweet everyday man to settle down with. And, honestly, you scream complicated and not so sweet. So the deal is you, me, and sex. No one knows. Not Lena and definitely not Mason."

"No strings, Josh. Not one. Unless, of course, it's to tie me up."

They keep up their deal for a short time, but Mason walks in on Josh nibbling on Shelly's ear in the kitchen at the restaurant and Shelly calls the deal off. Josh calls Shelly and tells her he wants a new deal. Shelly ends up asking Josh to take a road trip with her to her hometown in Georgia to visit her family.

I want you to come home with me as my friend. However, when we're alone together, I don't see why we can't have added benefits."

On this roadtrip Shelly is starting to realize that she wants more than a no-strings relationship with Josh.

All of a sudden, Shelly didn't give two hoots what he did or did not do for a living. She wanted Joshua Daniels. The biggest shock, however, was that she wanted to keep him. For how long, she wasn't sure, but she knew she wasn't ready to let him go.

Josh is also starting to see another side of Shelly when they are in Georgia

"Back in Chicago, you're this sex goddess, who is so incredibly hot, but intimidating as hell."

"Here, you're different. You're relaxed and casual, still incredibly sexy, but in a much more approachable way. This Shelly- Georgia Shelly she's the girl next door wrapped up in subtle sex. Man-Eater Monroe's the ball-busting doctor who oozes blatant, sizzling, hot sex."

When they spend time together in Georgia, Josh realizes he's falling for Shelly.

"Take a chance, Shel. I'm not going to hurt you, use you, or take any part of you for granted."

"....I'm falling for you so hard that I can feel scrapes on my knees as I'm brought to them. I understand you're scared because I'm absolutely terrified, but I'm not going to hurt you or kick you when you're down."

"I looked at you and instantly wanted you, but my past was telling me not to touch."

"I don't want a single penny from you, Shelly Monroe. I want your mind, your heart, and your sexy-as-hell body, but not your money."

"I'm so lost in you, Georgia. I don't even know where you end, and I begin. You feel so fucking amazing. I want to stay here forever."

Shelly also realizes she's falling for Josh

It was only a matter of time, and suddenly it felt like time had run out. In a few short weeks and really only a handful of days, she had fallen hard for Josh Daniels and that scared the hell out of her.

"I was determined not to fall for you, and somehow I don't think I ever had a chance of resisting."

Shelly finds out that her parents relationship isn't what she thought it was all these years and though she has not gotten along with her father for a long time, what she finds out makes it worse.

Couldn't he see? Couldn't he understand how his actions had totally destroyed any faith I would ever have in a man? Did he not realize that he was the example I used and applied to every single man that walked into my life? How was I supposed to trust one word out of the opposite sex when I can't even trust my own father?

When they get back from Georgia and get to Josh's house, his ex is there. He takes Shelly home so he can go back and talk to his ex. Shelly is mad that he is going back to talk to his ex when they both know that the reason she is there is she wants Josh back. Shelly doesn't want to listen to anything Josh has to say. He begs her not to end their relationship and she refers to their relationship as only a fling anyways. They both have trust issues to overcome after that and Josh moves away and won't tell anyone where he is, although him and Shelly do keep in contact. They see each other a couple times, but what it boils down to is Josh wants everything with Shelly- to get married and start a life together and until Shelly can accept that and want what he wants he won't take her back. They eventually do get their HEA.

"I knew from the first moment that you would change me."

"I have never loved someone as much as I love you, Shelly."

I absolutely loved this book. I highly recommend this series!

Ah, another great read from Miss Ella Frank!

The story of Dr Shelly Monroe meets construction worker Josh Daniels. These two meet up at Monday night dinner at Exquisite with Lena and Mason. He's Mason's best buddy from grade school who just moved back from CA. Sparks fly but both are quick to refuse any chance of a relationship. Josh is everything Shelly wants but avoids at all costs. That tough, bad boy mentality that'll love them and leave them. Shelly is, in Josh's opinion a Man-Eater. It's best for both to avoid each other.... But they can't seem to do that. So they come up with a deal...all sex, nothing more. Can Josh do that? He's a guy that's always put his heart out there. Can he risk it with Miss Man-Eater? Things heat up right quick. Their relationship is a secret (right!)....I mean, their "deal."

My Shelly...

[image error][image error]>"

Shelly, quite honestly bugs the living shit out of me. Sorry, but she does. She's a successful doctor and has everything going for her but love. She's instantly attracted to Josh but she treats him crappy. She uses him against her father and I just thought she was immature and selfish. I really had a hard time wanting josh to fall for her type.

My Josh...

[image error][image error]>"

Josh was holy hotness on a stick.... But he too frustrated me in his ever so quick attachment and dreaming of all things marriage from practically their third " date." I have issues with the falling in love and seeing the marriage and lifetime together when they really barely know one another....especially when Shelly hasn't exactly given him much to wish for. I did like him over time with his commitment to make Shelly decide for herself what she wants in life with or without him. He stepped back and made her grow up a bit. She needed that. A lot.

Loved seeing Lena and Mason. Their love story is a great one.. We start to see the story of Rachel and Cole which is upcoming in the summer with Edible.

I liked the book. Didn't love it like others did. I just didn't connect with Shelly until very late in the book. I think Josh deserved better......

Looking forward to the next in the Exquisite series.

Looks like I'm in the minority again. So far, I'm not following the consensus when it comes to this series.

I just didn't understand Shelly. Her judgment of Josh in the beginning and of men in general didn't really sit with me. We were only given one example of her past relationships, and it just didn't seem a plausible enough reason for her to be so turned off by a blue-collar man. I also didn't buy her parents being the cause of her trust issues. For a good portion of the book, any time Shelly started explaining anything, I found myself rolling my eyes. And when Josh and Shelly came back from Georgia to find a surprise on Josh's doorstep, Shelly's response was completely childish.

Josh, on the other hand.......you can give me a sweet and sexy man who knows how to work a tool belt anytime! He was so patient with Shelly and understanding with handling her "Georgia" side. And let us not forget his bursts of dirty talk....yeah, I'd be biting my bottom lip too!

My last bit of frustration was the time jumps. I lost the flow of the story and everything started feeling a bit disjointed. I would have liked more of the emails between Josh and Shelly during their time apart to help me still feel connected with them.

But, I will say Ms. Frank sure does know how to write some great leading men....it's her ladies that she seems to have problems with. I loved Mason, adored Josh....let's not even get into Tate and Logan.....but I've had issues with Lena and Shelly.

Since I have a bad track record with this series, I'm going to hold off on reading Edible since it has the most hype of the three books. I'm ridiculously intrigued with what the deal is with Rachel, but I'll need to put a little space between these books. Cleanse the palate.
