Disappointed

The first two books were awesome, this one did not hold my interest as well as the others. Still good but could only give it a four star.

Overall I thought this was a great book. I was expecting it to be the last book, but the ending definitely hinted that there would be another. The biggest conflict was resolved in this book, but the ending opened up even more questions. I really, really hope there's another one, so that we can learn how that turns out.

While I did enjoy the book, there were a few times where I was a bit confused because of the world building. It just felt like there were gaps here and there where things weren't well explained. I'm a bit confused about the timeline. What time period did Lovely come to earth? Because you can't tell at all from the story, but it definitely sounded like it couldn't be later than like middle ages. That doesn't really make sense to me because she created the first vampire and werewolf, so I would have thought it would have been a long, long time ago in order for those legends to start. Also, how many years was the reincarnation thing going? Because I feel like Jersey should have figured it out sooner. I don't know. I just couldn't take some aspects of it seriously.

Even with the problems though, I really liked it and recommend checking the series out. It's a fun series, and I'm really glad I read it. There are just some parts of it that were questionable. I think they could be explained farther though, and they would be a lot more believable.

As I read each of these books The rhythm of the authors style is easier to handle. I do not feel that see-saw of going from one travesty after another. The characters have been growing in depth and more complicated the further we go in the story arch.

It is getting harder and harder to put the book down. Which for me is not necessarily a bad thing. I am disabled so I do not have to go anywhere so I will just say as a warning for those that work...watch your time with these books and set a limit cause you could find yourself up all night if you are not careful.

The layers have been great watching them unfold in these books . Even with the introduction with new characters they are an important part of those layers. Nope no spoilers here enjoy reading them yourself.

I have read a single book of Kasi Blake's that I just don't love. She is an amazing author and so far the entire Rule Series has been incredible. It keeps you in suspense with a driving need to have to continue to turn the page. Jack and Silver's love story, with a kick of suspense will keep you on your toes.
It is one hell of a roller coaster ride that well keep you yearning for more.
I have just finished book 3 and I'm on the book 4. Get the book you will positively enjoy it. I guarantee.
Happy reading everyone.
Enjoy.

Entertaining

This series does what a good story should, it entertains. The characters are full if somewhat dense at times. Although this book is YA it is a love story and women of all ages need love stories.

As stated before I love this series- only complaint on this book is that I felt the Fight Scene took too long to get to and then the end damn the end- really shocked me!!! Karma
