From author Opal Carew comes the second sizzling segment in the erotic serial novel His to Command that explores one woman's surrender to desire at the hands of a dominant man.
When Kate's mysterious business meeting takes a terrible turn, she finds herself face-to-face once more with Matt, the man who's haunted her dreams and memories with his sensual domination. And when a snowstorm strands the pair inside his mansion, they are forced to re-examine their past and the destruction of their relationship. But as night falls, painful truths begin to surface, and Kate is forced to face her own fears and secret longings.
Melanie used to be Rafe's secretary. He is a billionaire in the family business who is also a rock star on the side. The two meet up again in the tattoo parlor and go on their first date. Once Melanie and Rafe start seeing each other Melanie wants to experiment sexually with Rafe but he has a fear of going to far. Eventually Melanie losses her job and starts touring with Rafe's band but Rafe has decided not to go with them. Will his jealousy destroy them?
I did enjoy this read. I think it would be better as a novel and not 6 novelettes. The plot was written and executed really well. The author also has a flare with placement of events.
Because they are novelettes they seemed to stop short in areas that needed to be expanded upon. The characters needed a little more depth and excitement to them.
So now I understand a bit more her reasons for leaving, but I still think she should had at least yelled at him her reasons, maybe things would be different, plus she believe in a person she had never saw before. Never believe in third parties, they always want something out of it, and sometimes is not in your best interest.
I get it why she left and why she ran the other day in the mall. But it’s better face it and control the situation.
Hm. Nope. Read part 1 through 3 last night, but won't continue with the rest. It's just not very good! The chemistry isn't convincing at all, and the main characters are pathetic. This "dominant" man lets the woman he loves leave him without an explanation? Oh, how impressive and strong that love must be.
This one is much better than the first one. We finally fine out the Matt did to her and meet that little ..... Ileana. But I am 100% team Matt she would not have yelled at him about. However having said that given her family history i guess I can. I can't believe Matt would have been a part or that. Another short sexy read only 55 pages.
His to Claim is a composition of six short erotic stories that make up this novel. Apparently I missed the other series because there were so unexplained issues with Jessica and Rafe…I guess another series? Anyway, I immediately fell in love with this series. With sexy, steamy characters and the perfect chemistry in addition to a rock star plot makes for the perfect book!
Clearly this author is not into BDSM or a very sexually experienced person outside the vanilla sex life. Very limited vocabulary. Disappointed bc it did not meet the hype it was given. DO NOT RECOMMEND if you are in the lifestyle and looking for something that will meet your erotic taste. This book was not written well or from someone who has an understanding of the lifestyle what do ever.
