I loved Maddy's The New Boy but this was somehow disappointing. This reminded me so much of I Am Number Four crossing with Twilight and going gay. Uh, sounds exciting but it was really infuriating to read this in Cody's perspective. Like him, most of the time I felt out of place and more like an outcast. Too many secrets and so little answers.

And sure, the sexual tension between Cody and Tristan was palpable and vibrating, and the endless pining will hit you at the right places.

But that ending was just cruel. After all that has been said and done, the story ended like that? Wait, what?!

what

And more importantly, why?
