What can happen when you stop chasing your tail, and start chasing your dream?
Earlier this year, a bundle of endless energy and cool choreography called Pudsey bounded onto our TV screens with his owner and best friend Ashleigh Butler and made history as the first dog to win Britain's Got Talent. He wowed with his walking, delighted with his dancing, and his camaraderie with Ashleigh charmed the nation. But what do we really know of his journey to stardom? In this, the most extraordinary celebrity memoir of the year, Pudsey is finally ready to tell his story.
Born into the menagerie of animals that fills the Butler household, Pudsey always knew he was different to his dog-standard brothers and sisters. Never content with the walk-eat-sleep routine, he felt in his bones that he was destined for the stage. With no small amount of help from his fellow pets, and despite some dastardly opposition threatening to thwart him at every turn, he made it. And his Autobidography reveals for the first time exactly how he did it.
It's the bona fido story, straight from the mutt's mouth. So sit down, stay a while, and you'll find out exactly howl the people's pooch made it to the big time.
This is the story that is told by a dog called Pudsey and how he went on to win Britain Got Talent. Pudsey: My autobidography is a good read, albeit sometimes it feels childish and geared towards children.
The plot is basic, simply following Pudsey's life from puppy to becoming Ashleigh's Birthday present to performing on Britain's Got Talent. The characters are interesting, almost similar to those of Babe but it's rightfully Pudsey who always stands out. The writing is great although sometimes it feels a bit too simple. This could be to make it accessible for children but more complex words would have been better in places.
Overall, the book is a light read and whilst at times it feels childish, it's entertaining enough to hold your attention.
this is my fav book ever if you do/don't like Britain's Got Talent read this book i found it quite funny but sad at different parts. pudsey is an adorable puppy and YOU NEED TO READ IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Original approach - having the dog tell his own story. I remember Pudsey as I was still watching BGT back in those days. An endearing tale - or should I say tail? - from a dog who is sadly no longer with us.
Such a amazing book about Pudseys life I really enjoyed reading this book from the dog’s perspective. It was funny & heart warming and so lovely to see Ashley and Pudseys relationship though out the book. Dogs lovers will love reading this book xx
I gave up reading after a few chapters. The narrative was too childish for me. May be more suited to a younger reader. A shame because I am a fan of Pudsey!
